“This place is truly one of the best parts of Rockaway. I work at the doctor's office up the street from it and we order take out a lot. They serve all the classic bar favorites to perfection! The juicy burgers are fresh and absolutely fantastic...and OMG the cheesesteak is AWESOME!!!!! But what really makes this place standout are the people behind all of it. Bridgett, the owner, is genuinely one of the loveliest and most accommodating people you'll ever meet. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome, and you can tell that she puts her heart into the place. She will personally deliver our food to our office every single time because we are so busy. And Myles deserves a huge shout-out. That man can cook a burger like nobody else, and the cheesesteak he puts out is honestly next-level! You can taste the care and skill in every bite of it. It's disappointing to see a few unfair reviews floating around, because they don't reflect the real experience here. Great food, great atmosphere, and truly GREAT people. “This bar is like home to me. I absolutely love the staff, the cooks and all of the regular’s It’s like going to cheers.

I want to add that I had my husband’s 50th birthday party there and they did an outstanding job making it happen. Karen and Sam Made some amazing food and they were so attentive to my guests. The bartenders, Kyle and Jo Jo Rocked it they made amazing drinks and Kept them coming to the birthday boy the Whole day.

But what’s even more special and means the world to me is that the staff that was not working that day came to hang out and help me set up and enjoy my husband’s 50th with us. Literally, family, and good friends at this bar. If you’re looking for a local bar to frequent to get good food, drinks and make outstanding friendships. “Adam’s Beer Garden is a secret gem! I’ve driven passed this a thousand times. There is more then enough room to watch all the games. Spread out at this bar there is a bunch of things to do. Play pool, play the lottery, I believe they have a dart board! Go outside where there is even more endless space and challenge someone to foos ball. Before you go outside grab a cigar from their humidor. Then just chill out there in front of a big screen and watch your team win a game. They have a okay selection of cigars to choose from. The cigars are reasonably priced. Lots of beer on tap. We ordered a pitcher you should too! Cash only! Don’t think they sell food.

She was there to make us comfortable and happy.....which she did. And the food was the piece de resistance . We had stuffed zucchini blossoms for our appetizer and they were perfect. Then we got a salad, of which the house dressing is the way to go. And then we had an order of snow crab legs that were PHENOMENOL! And we also ordered the Pasta dish which had deep sea scallops and shrimp with a vodka sauce over angel hair pasta. Which was also incredibly good. We left there feeling very happy and satisfied! “We had such an amazing experience at The Second Half on Main this weekend. We called for a reservation for 7 people on a Saturday night, and they were beyond accommodating. They took us in just 30 minutes before closing and never once made us feel rushed, which honestly says a lot because most places start stacking chairs and spiritually evicting you the second the clock hits closing time.

The food was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We ordered French onion soups, a Caesar salad for the table, calamari, and everyone got different entrees and drinks. Every single thing was delicious. Not one complaint from anyone at the table, which for a group of humans is basically a statistical miracle.

Our waiter Mike, aka “Buckets,” was incredible the entire night. He never stopped moving, stayed on top of everything, and still made time to go around wishing other tables a Happy Mother’s Day, which was genuinely very sweet to see. You could tell he was working his ass off, but he never stopped smiling and made the whole experience even better. Another gentleman helping him named Matt was also fantastic and super attentive.

We will 100% be back and honestly cannot wait to see everyone again. We’re even considering using them for our friend’s bridal shower this winter because the service, atmosphere, and food were all that good. Highly recommend!“

“I cannot recommend this venue enough! The room was absolutely beautiful, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly accommodating and attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond to help bring my vision to life, including customizing the napkin colors to match my baby shower theme, adjusting the icing color for my cake, and arranging the room exactly how I wanted it.

They were also very flexible with both setup and cleanup times, which made the entire planning process so much less stressful. The service throughout the event was exceptional—every staff member was attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. There was plenty of space to have tables for gifts, desserts, favors, raffle/games, and food.

The food was outstanding and one of the highlights of the day. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was, and it was such a thoughtful touch that they allowed guests to take leftovers home.

Patricio and Dylan were the most considerate, kind, attentive and understanding waiters I have ever met in my entire life. After dining in the tri-state area my whole life, exploring cities like Chicago and LA through food, I’ve been conditioned and numb to lackluster waitstaff and typically take the approach of trying just to avoid them spitting in my food, but Patricio and Dylan completely floored me in their attention to detail, knowledge, and service that showed me exactly what good waiters could be. Living with GI issues and intolerances, I consistently feel like an inconvenience at restaurants and that the entire responsibility of making sure I don’t fall ill after dining is based on how I modify the menu and pick around my plate. EXCEPT here at Rails with Patricio and Dylan, I had the first care-free dining experience in my life, their thoughtfulness allowed me to be truly present with my family, enjoy the wonderful food being served, and just live in the moment, which is so important to me. Dylan was explicit in the detail of every dish and always helped me navigate what was coming around and being served. Now, back to the tears, when I subtly mentioned in passing to Patricio that I couldn’t eat dairy and couldn’t partake in the birthday cake, he brought me a delicious sorbet flight, unprompted, just so that I could feel a part of the festivities.
