“I'll start with the breathtaking panoramic views!!!! What a stunning restaurant!!!! If you are not familiar with what to order off of a Korean menu, just ask for recommendations. From start to finish what an excellent dining experience! Right before theBilly Joel concert, very fitting to have a bottle of red & a bottle of white! If you're in the K-Town area 1250 Broadway to be exact, go straight to the penthouse!!!!“

“Higly recommend for hong kong cuisine in midtown. I had the duck noodle soup. Soup base and noodles were good. The duck was okay so I probably try some other protein instead next time. They have hk style milk tea which really made me happy. The portuguese tart flaky pastry crust and the filling was really good.“

“Super friendly and accommodating service.Fantastic Korean dishes not just bbq meats. The Korean beef tartare is so fresh with the Korean pear. The uni mentaiko rice is a must. The scallion pancake is fabulous too. The makku original carafe was a pretty large size and so good. For the meats, the marinated galbi is really good. But I wish they had a charcoal grill since that usually tastes way better. All in all, I’d totally keep coming back.“

“Was in the NY for the weekend visiting family from FL. Always wanted to try Korean BBQ and this place came up. Absolutely loved it. There was 7 of us walking around and they fit us right in. We ordered the 5-6 meal and 2 appetizers. And it was Plenty for everyone. Half way thru the meal my 10yr old leans over and tells me. "This is the best night of my life." He's a foodie. But check them out you should not be disappointed. Great job guys.“

“I liked the ordering with kiosk option where you could view pictures and customize your orders easily. I chose the Koba bowl. The portion size shocked me! My bowl looked like a mountain. It was satisfying to have that much food and a variety of stuff in only one bowl. Both food and service were amazing! With any order it also comes with a Korean snack of your choice.“

“HYUN is definitely more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. We greatly enjoyed ourselves in the gorgeous atmosphere, and I loved the privacy of the booth we were seated in. We did the A5 Waygu beef platter, which was exceptionally delicious and came with more than enough food for us. The staff were all pleasant and provided exceptional service that helped to create such a wonderful experience.“

“It’s a great place for a quick grab and go or even just sit down and eat. Very casual you order first then find your seating. We got shu mai which was delicious, spicy mushroom dumping was not my favorite but my partner loved it, Shanghai pork dumplings were juicy, the BBQ pork roast was absolutely diviiiine a must try and the spicy cucumbers was just a nice refresher on top of everything. My partner and I were not disappointed!“

“I came here for the 1st time during restaurant week & I cannot wait to return back to try the rest of the menu. The staff & atmosphere was friendly & welcoming, you could tell locals come all the time. Everything I ordered was tasty, but the star of the show was my main entree, Moqueca (Brazilian fish stew with tomatoes, pepper, onions & coconut milk) - It was both comforting and flavorful. The fish was cooked to perfection (soft, tender & flaked easily with my fork), the coconuts milk stew was rich & robust in flavor, with a smooth enough consistency to coat your spoon. In summary, it was chefs kiss! ?“

“One of the few AYCE KBBQ spots in the area. Even on a Friday afternoon, this place gets really busy to the point where you have to wait for a table. The price per person is relatively fair compared to other places but I feel like you get fewer options for the Lunch menu. Normally, I would prefer more options but this time I liked having fewer options since I ordered more of the same meats. Rice, side dishes, dipping sauces, and fresh lettuce are all included in the AYCE. Drinks are not.“

“Food is good but they raised their prices and it's only worthwhile if you can get them to actually bring the dishes you order. Sometimes we have difficulty getting orders in even when they're not that busy. Still, very solid place.“

“Cozy Korean BBQ place modeled after a traditional home in Koreatown. Prices aren't too bad for what you get, especially with the wide variety of banchan. Ambiance is great, with Korean oldies blasting from the speakers and old war-era posters everywhere. Highly recommend pairing your meal with a bottle of soju as well.“

The selection of ingredients was vast and fresh, ensuring there was something for everyone's taste. The broth was flavorful and aromatic, making every bite a delight. “Been awhile at Gyu Kaku especially east side with better views windowside. Big fan. Been to Tokyo location as well.Happy hour good bargain. $120 for 3. Couldn't eat all. Appetizers corn fair, salad ok, calamari good, beef sushi better. Meat selection good, but would hope less salty selection.Shame horumon (intestines) off the menu due to too much smoke. Thanks for changing grills diligently. Looks like much now no longer flat...S'more finish a treat. Service experienced. Not super courteous but sufficiently attentive.Nice visit back to memory lane. Seems much reward points expired... oh well.“

“If you are reading this because it's late, maybe it's cold, and street side yakitori feels like the the little planet you need to orbit in the vastness of NY space, then this is your sign to go. I went in the cold. Had a nice chat with a Michelin star sommelier who was there after work and loves this place. We ate lamb, chicken skin, mushrooms... chatted... went our separate ways. Perfect spot.“

“Easy to make a reservation, make sure to ask for a table with a grill if you want bbq. The chefs cook the meat in front of you, so the meat is always perfectly cooked. The meat from the prime rib bibimbap was surprisingly tender. The steamed egg was soo yummy. And fluffy! We will be coming back.“

“The quality (of the food), atmosphere (elegant and modern), and service of this restaurant are top notch. Step into this place and it’s as you’re transported to a restaurant at a fancy Seoul neighborhood. Dinner for 3 cost us $150 which was great value given the quality, atmosphere and service provided. For example, one of our dish was grilled clams and we were blown away by their size. They were gigantic, abundant and FRESH! The patrons were all locals and some families. Will definitely return.Parking: The restaurant has a free parking lot. There's also paid/unpaid (depending on the day/time) street parking, right in front of the restaurant.“

“Another slam dunk. I've eaten at Don Don twice (and planning to go more soon!) and the cuts of dry aged pork, side dishes and black sesame ice cream is immaculate. Staff is super attentive and friendly as well.If it's your first time, definitely try out the dry age pork tasting. I've also eaten at a handful of KBBQ joints at NJ and although this isn't all you can eat, I left Don Don feeling just as full and satisfied. Will definitely swing by again in the near future after work!“

“It was a really nice experience with all of my friends last night. We went out as a group of six and made a reservation ahead of time. I like that the menu was on the phone and so that we could continuously see the menu so that we could keep ordering food when we wanted to. I love the all you can eat, and some of the little special items on the menu or a great addition as well. It was really busy but the ambience was nice. I’ve been to the one in Brooklyn and now I’ve been to the one in Chinatown Manhattan and both experiences were really great and I enjoyed both times out.“

“The food is always amazing, unique and generous portion size.Recently did a sheva brachos in house, and the owner and staff outdid themselves. They were attentive, accommodating and responsive. Also added some fish entrees for those who requested. They even set up Spotify Jewish music for us! The guests were comfortable and happy, and the restaurant did everything we contracted and more. Leftovers were packed nicely and efficiently for distribution. We would definitely do this again!Wheelchair accessibility: street level access“

“We tried the nearest KBBQ at the hotel we were staying and were not disappointed. The meat was nicely seasoned but the item that elevated the eating experience was the banchan. The seaweed was not too strong or salty and was delightfully tasty. Even the onions, which I don't typically eat, became one of my favorites. The pork belly was a nice thick cut. Service was excellent and the staff very attentive! I think I can say that about most Korean restaurants that I've been to.“

“Great spot for a casual BBQ night. The softest bbq meats that I've ever had if you're into that. I'm more of a chewy meat person so that was what was missing for me. But ultimately their meat has less fat and is just so easy to eat!We got the pastrami, ribs and brisket and some coleslaw. We liked the pastrami and the ribs the most. Very chill vibes with a cute outdoor garden.“

“It's one of my local favorites and a great place for good Korean BBQ in a quiet setting. Best dish is the Kal Bi (boneless short rib) and I'm also a fan of the Yun Aw (salmon). Both dishes are nicely marinated, juicy and delicious“

“Definitely a five star. The 8 spice toufu melt in your month, almost like cheese filling, crispy skin was just right. Mouth watery chili chicken nicely presented, meat is still kinda warm when it is served, flavor is good. Very authentic and exquisite chinese cuisine. Better than many restaurants in China for sure.“

“After visiting the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria we walked up the block and had a nice lunch at Pig Beach BBQ. My husband and I split the sampler platter which we both enjoyed. My favorite was the pulled pork and my husband’s favorite was the ribs.We were both surprised that it was more of a cafeteria style set up instead of sit down. To me that was probably the only drawback. But it was a very laid back casual atmosphere which a lot of people may find appealing.“

“Eating here was a really fun and interesting experience for me and my family who are not really used to Korean food. “Slightly hard to write this review as I arrived a bit late to the meal. I went here months upon months ago. Not knowing that this was part of Dun Huang, I thought I went to the wrong restaurant but it turned out it was one and the same which was surprising. I was here with a group of nine others. As I arrived a bit late, the soup dumplings had already been there a while but they were still of very good quality. My favorite of the night was the Salted Egg Yolk & Shrimp Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. The texture of the rice cakes were perfect and the egg yolk complimented it well. I also liked the Dry Fried Shredded Eel & Chives. I also would have preferred them less shredded as I couldn't taste much of the eel texture but the sauce was nice and the blend with the chives added some good depth. The Fried Dough Twist Spicy Chicken or Laziji with Mahua was also surprisingly spicy for a restaurant which is primarily Shanghainese now so I guess they still have some influence from the old Dun Huang. I've had it before with these dough twists from the excellent Peppercorn Station and these rivaled that place even though the chicken there was a bit pricier but then again there was larger pieces of chicken in the latter. The Fish Fillets in Sour Cabbage Soup was also pretty solid as well as the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. You can essentially see Andie's review for the rest of my thoughts as they essentially reiterate hers. Yes it was too hot inside and as I was rushing to get there, I got warmer than most but oh well. Would go back but maybe go during the fall or winter if the AC isn't fixed yet. Mid 4“

“We ate here for a late lunch. We had the hotpot and bbq. The restaurant was clean and modern. We had a language barrier with our waitress but that didn’t make the experience bad and we were able to get all we wanted by the photos on the menu. We got 4 different individual hotpot’s to try. They were good but the vegetable one I was not a fan of but would be perfect for a vegetarian. The food was delicious and I would eat here again when we come back to visit again. This is a must try place.“

“The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming. This was my first experience doing Japanese Style BBQ where a server helps prepare the meat for you, and they made the experience very special. Both the server and the chef, who was preparing the cuts of meat for us in an open style serving area, would introduce the cut and the kind of sauce or condiment it goes well with, while giving enough time for us to chat and eat before coming back with the next round of cuts. Overall the service, cuts of meat, quality, atmosphere, and service were excellent and I can’t wait to go back again!“

“Dropped by for a final New York meal with friends. The ambiance exudes a delightful, contemporary charm, immaculately clean. “I couldn't take a picture because I was busy eating. The best raw ribs I've had since coming to the US! It's extremely delicious. People who like meat will like thicker meat. The meat is thick and soft, has a good chew and is full of juice. Not a single flaw. It's not a soju restaurant, it's a rib restaurant. Lastly, I enjoyed the clam sauna and ate kalguksu (noodle soup) in cool clam soup. It's been 7-8 years since I stopped eating kalguksu, cold noodles, and japchae to cut out carbohydrates, but this soup isn't one I can tolerate because it's low in carbohydrates. I ate all the delicious radish radish without any regrets. I promise to try yukhoe sometime soon. Photos were uploaded then. ?“

“It isn’t Texas but definitely a New Jersey establishment serving up Texas BBQ in their cozy indoor/outdoor establishment with some of the nicest staff. The $60 platter is a lot for two people, IMO. Definitely come hungry and with friends and family. The pulled pork and beef were very tasty and good. The Mac and cheese was definitely tasty, they should maybe bake it a bit more to give it a nice crust. The drinks were a bit too strong and on the higher end of value.Service was great. They allowed us to swap out some of the sides. We got fries, corn bread and Mac and cheese for our sides. All tasty.Establishment does have limited onsite parking so get there early and lock in your parking spot. The indoor decor gives off a rustic wooden cabin vibe with fake lanterns. Creative and comfortable.“

“This place is such a gem! Price is not bad, and the food is amazing! I don't know what authentic Tibetan food should taste like, but this place is a family-owned business so I would inclined to believe that they serve authentic food. I came here for lunch today at around 1PM. The place was empty but as I began devouring my lunch, more people showed up for a late lunch, and guessing from the language they speak, they are all Tibetans/Himalayans. The menu is not necessarily friendly to non-Tibetans but my server was kind enough to explain menu items. I did also google some of the names of the food to figure out my order. I settled with an appetizer, a dropa khatsa. It's stir fried beef tripe. It's got a hint of curry but not overpowering and it doesn't remind you of Indian food. I The main dish I ordered was the mala dry pot with rice noodle fan (similar to Korean japchae noodles) with beef stomach (beef tripe but the bible tripe kind), fish balls, and mushrooms. The dry pot was spicy but not overly spicy. I caught a hint of Chinese Five Spice in it. Will definitely come back to try more food!“

“Just land at Newark and stumbled across this restaurant. The staff quickly seated all 10 of us. They first served the complimentary tofu, kimchi, pickled veggies. I had the dumpling soup, which was spot on because I was feeling a little under the weather. Others had the spicy beef soup, short ribs soup, bibimbop, and fish. The food is so good!! We were surprised to get such good food for such a reasonable price. The only slightly negative is the we asked for separate checks but instead the split the bill evenly into 2 checks. When we explained the 2 people were on one order, they quickly fixed the mistake.“
