I was in a savory mood, so I ordered a mini sausage pastry as well as a mushroom and onion tart. I also had a regular drip coffee. The sat down in the commen seating area. Great people watching. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I was hoping for decaf coffee, but they only had tea, so I skipped the drink this time. Took my sandwich over to McCarren for a little picnic, which was the perfect way to start the morning. Kam Hing Coffee Shop is truly a hidden hole-in-the-wall treasure! We stopped by and were blown away by their incredible sponge cakes – we tried the coconut and strawberry flavors, and both were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious.

What made the experience even better was the staff. They went out of their way to modify our teas since we’re lactose intolerant, and the result was perfect – flavorful, refreshing, and just right.

My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

I also loved the Salted Egg Yolk Bun (sweet-salty perfection) and the Roast Pork Bun, which was packed with flavorful filling.

I was first in a line that I thought was for Popup Bagels but it was for Leon's... make sure you're at the right place! Popup Bagels didn't have a line, which was bittersweet. A line doesn't necessitate quality and experience but it did make me wonder. I enjoyed the aesthetic of Popup Bagels, the music, and the service. The guy who helped me was kind and efficient. But the best part of this place is how freaking good their bagels are! Whew! They're light, hot and fresh, and tasted great! I got two sesame and one everything, with plain smear. So far, the sesame is the only one I've tried, but I'm stoked to try the everything bagel! I got these to share but they might not make it to my friends ?“

They also take special orders. They are not dedicated gluten free but they offer a lot of gluten free options that are just as delicious as their other bakery items.
