I was in a savory mood, so I ordered a mini sausage pastry as well as a mushroom and onion tart. I also had a regular drip coffee. The sat down in the commen seating area. Great people watching. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

The staff were lovely and prepared my order quickly—an iced yinyang (tea and coffee) and an iced lemon tea. We also ordered the original and pandan cakes, which were light and fluffy. “Levain was packed with a line almost out the door at 9pm on a Tuesday. It maintained that pace for the 30 minutes that we were there. We got a lemon, and fudge cookie. The cookies were very good, though I thought they were almost too sweet, and too subtle on flavor, especially on the lemon cookie. The buttery flavor was intense in a good way though. It's a great place, I would definitely come back again, but with less of a line“

My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“
