“My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years. “We were staying at the Parsippany Hilton where Ruth Chris is located. Service was superb. Our server, Garett, was very attentive. He also had a pleasant personality. We chose to order the Ruth Chris Classic which includes appetizer, entree and dessert. Good choice financially. The only thing that I would do differently the next time is to omit the butter on my food choices. Items were swimming in butter. Too much for me.“

They have lobster, steak, fish such as chillean sea bass, salmon, fresh rainbow trout. They also have great salads and entrees. Service was nice too. The Grilled Pork Flatiron was another standout, served with haricot verts, bacon lardon, watermelon radish, and apricot mostarda that added the perfect combination of savory and sweet. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. If you're looking for a great meal in the Millburn area—especially if you need gluten-free options—MoonShine is absolutely worth a visit. “We enjoyed ourselves for Thanksgiving dinner. Fabian our waiter was incredible. The food was good but nothing outstanding. We needed steak knives but none were out or on the table. The stuffing had an odd taste to it. The fall soup was good. Dessert were tasty as well.“
