“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.“

“For dinner we when to RUMI and it was amazing! Appetizers absolutely delicious all our dinners were delicious fresh hot completely satisfied . And then we had complementary Turkish tea and we all had desserts which were absolutely delicious someone with a sweet tooth would love. “This place just got a huge update! Its been remodeled about 3 months ago.

We havent been there in a minute! Had a great surprise:) Food still delish, their fries are still one of the best I've tasted 😋. Some items that we love are still in the menu but that also has been updated/changed. Still a bit pricey, but its worth for the amount and quality of food you get. It's a treat for us when we crave Mediterranean 😌✨.“

“This is a cool Georgian restaurant in Newark, NJ. I stopped by randomly after shopping for an event. I tried Adjaruli Khachapuri for the first time in my life. It was pretty interesting in how it was prepared but it was tasty. I also had the creamy garlic chicken and some wine. Great for a solo lunch date or just because.“

“The most amazing and delicious Turkish Breakfast I ever had. Not only in New Jersey area. I’ve tried lots of places in the Tri-State area and it’s definitely 5 Stars. Everything is homemade. There’s a lot of food when you order Turkish Breakfast. The cheese on the platter is very rich. Definitely try the Turkish eggy toast. It’s absolutely so yummy. It’s only on Sundays 10:00am-2:00pm. The atmosphere is fantastic. Especially for any kind of showers or parties. I’ve found out they have 2 more locations in Cliffside Park,NJ & Livingston,NJ as well. The owner is super nice and he welcomes and is so polite to customers. The prices are very reasonable. They have a huge parking lot. Handicapped customers are welcome to restrooms and parking lot.“

The Ghormeh Sabzi, Koobideh, Joojeh Kebab, and even the Ashe Reshteh tasted so authentic. Everything was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of love. The restaurant feels cozy with warm, tasteful decor. The husband and wife who own and run the restaurant are also incredibly kind and welcoming. From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“

“I ordered a yeero with Greek fries, a dessert, and smoothies from Summit Greek Grill using UberEats. The food arrived fresh and flavorful (I adore the hint of lemon and the feta cheese for the Greek fries!). Unfortunately, our driver forgot our smoothies. I was writing it off as a loss with plans to contact Uber, when I received a phone call from the manager of the restaurant, Ali. He was emphatic that he wanted to make things right by us, took my name and phone number, and personally delivered the drinks to my door. Ali made sure to call us along the way, letting me know he closed the restaurant to bring my food. My boyfriend tried to offer him a tip as a thank you, but he denied it and even called me back to apologize that my boyfriend ran out in the cold without a jacket. “Humble seems to be the best word to summarize this restaurant. The men who run it seem to have a great rapport with their customers; they’ve been there for 20+ years and it shows. They were kind and accomodating. The food was plated carefully and was pretty taste. My only complaints were putting margarine on my pancakes without asking and the tiny plastic utensils, which left my hands covered in syrup. However both of those go to the restaurant being unpretentious. There’s no atmoshere to speak of but it was clean. I’d eat here again but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.“
