The owner was such a great communicator and seriously went above and beyond. She even ordered the monster trucks herself to make my son's cake vision come to life! and let me tell you, a monster truck crashing into the cake is about as cool as it gets for a 5-year-old boy. 🛞💥🎂 My son was obsessed! “This is an incredible neighborhood gem! I saw this place was recommended on NextDoor so when I was in Monroe, NJ for a doctors appt on Thurs. 1/29, I made a point to stop here. I ordered a cappuccino(or maybe a latte, I can't remember) and the #5 breakfast caprese. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Coffee drink had cinnamon added which was an extra sieve all touch. And they brought both to my table. It was a bit in the pricier side but the portions and food quality made it worth it. Highly recommend! Just wish I lived closer! I want to try their perogis.“

The service was a bit slow with a moderately long line, but the bakery was clean and the staff were friendly. I’ll definitely be returning and recommend giving this place a try!“

“Mav's Top Buns was absolutely wonderful as we went there for the first time in March 2026. We got a box of an OG, a blueberry crumb, thin mint and banana pudding. They were all absolutely delicious with just the right amount of doughiness and sweetness, without being overly sweet as many buns often tend to be. Service was terrific as well and the new owners are great people, who seem to truly care about both their customers and their staff. We'll definitely be back for more buns. Can't wait to see what flavors they come out with next!“

I came across Sophie C’s Sweets on Facebook and saw how talented she was. I messaged her on a Monday, asking if she’d be able to bake me a cake by the following Saturday, and to my surprise, she was able! The ordering process was super smooth and the pricing was very reasonable. When I picked up the cake, she had it beautifully presented, and it looked BETTER than the reference I had sent. “I love this bakery. Reminds me of the Italian bakeries in Bay Ridge & Bensonhurst Brooklyn. I visited the day before Easter and they were busy. I was afraid I'd waited too long for St Joseph pastries but they were prepared!! The pistachio cups were light & delicious. The sesame semolina bread great, I love it gutted with butter. The St Joseph pastries I'll have on Easter. Got my friend the cannoli cream one and for me the custard. Great little bakery, friendly staff and a great assortment to choose from. I'll be back. It's so hard to find the Italian family bakeries these days. We have to support them 💚 so they keep us happy with their delicious treats.“
