“Uncle Paulie's the greatest place to order your food. The staff is very pleasant and professional. They are amazing to deal with.
The food is succulent, their seasoning is perfect for the rotisserie chicken that matches their green and yellow Peruvian sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat a great savoring rotisserie chicken and don't forget to try their fish and tomato and onions ( Pescado).
I must say a big thank you to Maria for being patient with me. She's a fantastic person to communicate with.“

“This is my favorite place in the entire neighborhood! The service is wonderful, it’s small and intimate, feels like a real gem. It’s got a relaxed non-pretentious atmosphere. I come here on a whim OFTEN. Their signature drink Canelazo is the BEST cocktail i think i’ve ever tasted from anywhere, I crave it frequently, there’s just nothing like it. “After seeing so many this place on socials I decided to give it a try. Hard to believe somewhere has happy hr during the week until 8 pm. I’ve included the happy hr/power hr menu.

I had 3 appetizers and 2 drinks my total was just over 32 dollars so rest assured that this deal is real, no hidden charges or hidden fees/taxes. Just thought it was odd that they accept all cards but you can only tip in cash (maybe this was just my case since I had such a small bill).

Service was great, I had a friendly bartender. The tamarindo flavored frozen margarita was definitely a star. The red sangria was also pretty good, they don’t skimp on ingredients, the bartender told me exactly how they make it.

For food I had the shrimp spring roll, teriyaki wings and chicken dumplings. Everything was great, arrived hot and fresh. Was surprised about the quality of the chicken wings, plenty of meat on the bones. I love how the wings were glazed and not drenched in sauce. The shrimp roll I’ll say isn’t worth the 6 dollars, one roll cut into 4 pieces. Portion sizes are small for these power hour dishes but the presentation and quality are on point.

Beautiful exterior and very nice modern interior. Bathroom could use a little attention; otherwise, I enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back if in the area. A bit of a hike from the A train (10 minute walk) which may not seem like much, but it’s winter and the walk is uphill on the way back.

Every dish we ordered was delicious but if I were to rate each dish it would go: 1.pork belly sandwich, 2.the mofongo, 3.empandas and 4.tacos. Amazing atmosphere here, such a cute place. “The decor at this morsel of Costa Rican culture is aesthetically pleasing and if you’re in the area, this is one of the better Tico spots. We watched Costa Rica beat Paraguay in a Copa America game while eating pupusas, un Casado and Tacos Ticos and totally hit the spot. Especially since they served some salsa Lizano on the side.“

“A true authentic Dominican experience. This is the closest flavors to the food I grew up with, compared to what I've had at home and from visiting family in Dominican Republic. No gate-keeping! I want to make sure they get all the love and recognition they deserve. What incredible food, the options rotate daily, they don't have a menu. Not even sure if they have a phone, so just pop in and get your fix! The lady working the counter is incredibly sweet and you can tell cares for her patrons and the community.

My husband had the skirt steak tacos which were delicious and seasoned to perfection! I had the city island basket and it may have been the best fried fish I’ve ever had! Food was great. Had the chicken empanadas to start (massive!)
For dinner, had the Tacu Tacu and my compadre had the Lomo Saltado. Both delicious and tasty dishes.
Drinks were also good. Had the Gin Mule, and a spicy tequila drink (can't remember the name). Both made with class.
Highly recommend this spot to small or medium sized groups.

“We ordered carnita tacos and the presentation was very good, although the meat was a little too salty, you could eat it, the atmosphere is like a bar where you can go to talk with friends but it is also familiar. In conclusion it is nothing wow but it is not the worst either so you can pass on the customer service is good.“

I love that's it's most likely family owned as we own a family owned business also. We love to give our business to small local businesses. We ordered the chicken and rice and beans and it was well seasoned and cooked. Very tasty. We will definitely be back to try another item off the menu.“
