I had a coconut tree leches cake, and a strawberry short cake cup, which were both out of this world. The cold brew is so good, and the pumpkin sauce is on point. They’re also super friendly. “Easily a 5 star experience every time I go. The coffee is super smooth, well balanced, and consistently made right. My go to is the brown sugar shaken espresso, and it never misses. Perfectly sweet with just the right kick. And you have to try the Sean Sebastian cheesecake, it’s next level. I’m not a big cheesecake fan either. The vibe is great, the quality is there, and you can tell they really care about what they’re serving. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. “Absolutely stunning experience! Arden was so friendly and helpful right off the bat - they had a ton of recommendations, so it was easy to work through my options. After I ordered, I made my way to the eating area, which was bright, airy and clean. Service was very fast and I had my (absolutely delicious) latte in just a couple minutes.

The cake prices are actually super reasonable for what you get as well. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ve got to come here. I wish I lived closer, because I would come here much more often! They do offer savory bites as well, which I’ll try next time 😋“

“Boxwood Cafe is a gem! The owner has created a high quality coffee shop and the employees are very friendly. I like to stop by for a latte and a baked good (scone, cookie, or blueberry bar) and sit outside at one of the side tables. Pre-Covid, they hosted open mic night and quiz night every month. Now Steve hosts a monthly Zoom Quiz Night and it is so much fun! A great locally owned cafe.“

“We want here after it looked intersesting. We have tried the tres leches caramel and pistachio ones. The caramel one is a deification 10/10. Not to sweet and super light cake. A delightful treat I always plot with someone after dinner. The pistachio one is like a 7/10. Honestly could use more sweetness since the nuts made it kind of bland and bitter. They have a lot of variety but never tried it. The interior is very nice and have these beautiful Turkish lamps. Would reccommend!“

“Lifehack - although you need a membership to use the facilities inside the YMCA, anyone can come in and get their snack fix (workout optional).

Its a small cafe, but offers enough essentials. They sell pizzas, empandas, burgers, fries... as well healthy juice bar and variety drink options.

But their main feature is the acai bowls - acai, pitahaya or coconut base options. There's a handful of pre-built choices (loaded with fruits, granola, nutella or peanut butter) or create your own. Quick and efficient and beautifully prepared... our Berrytella and Dragon Kiwi bowls came out fresh and delicious.

Will definitely be back, and might even convince me to actually use the gym.“

“This place is officially my go to local bakery! Victoria and her mom Laurence have been nothing but kind and helpful each time I’ve went in. My friends and family raved about the triple chocolate cake i picked up for my sisters birthday and my best friend and i enjoy a quiet breakfast and cafe on the weekends! The decor is so welcoming and bright. It’s a great place to sit, and relax! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious pastries and French imports. “Affordable & Yummy: I’ve been here twice for lunch and once for breakfast. Very happy with all three meals. My special tip: try one of their Costa Rican dishes. Amy and I had seafood soup lunch; my favorite so far here. Really excellent. My wife liked it as well, large portion we had to bring some of it home. The seafood tasted fresh and the spicing was memorable. Excellent broth. ($17) I also had a breakfast. Sort of an American scrambled eggs, kind of breakfast and it was good ($7:50). Potatoes were outstanding. Yummy freash coffee. My second lunch was the Costa Rican style tacos, which were very good. First time I’ve had that. I had took a photo which I’ll put on the review. Came with french fries which were nicely done. ($12:50) Service all three times so it was excellent. Restrooms clean. The inside has a old-time diner look to it. Cleary was probably diner for a long time. They still maintain a more American traditional diner menu in addition to the Costa Rican themed dishes. It was a nice surprise for Amy and Foundmourselves in Somerville, I as we were looking for something downtown. I sat outside for the second lunch and it was great. You’ll see you in the picture. Owners are present. I like the old time diner look. Definitely a bias of mine being a diner guy so I gave him five stars for that🙂 (FYI: You won’t see too many bad reviews from me. I tend to only post reviews of places I like. Also, I only do reviews generally after visiting an establishment three times. I occasionally make exceptions. My first job was in the restaurant kitchen business, and everybody has a bad day.)“

“The two people I was with were really happy with their menu choices and said the food was really good, and everything was nicely presented, but my House Waffles were dry and tasteless; they looked really nice though, and the scrambled egg I ordered on the side was perfect. Lunch and dinner I ordered online and picked up at the drive-through window. Orders are always correct.
