Bakeries near Montvale

“I go to this location at Montvale, NJ regularly. I always and consistently have a great experience because of their staff. Joanna is absolutely the kindest person. She is attentive and beyond helpful! As I walk in the door she already ringing me up and preparing my order. She tells me about promos going on at the location and also suggested items to try. I will always go back if not for the great coffee but for her above and beyond service!“

“We are a family that swears by wheat products (gluten-free people don't really get along with us at mealtimes :-)) so our bread bin and pasta pantry are always full. Ever since we discovered Steins Bagels, we simply stopped buying bagels AND cream cheeses from other stores. Their bagels are deliciously chewy and satisfyingly substantial. Their cream cheeses are much tastier (and substantial) than the kind one can get from a deli in a regular grocery store. Many of their customers are regulars, and this family has joined their club :-)!“

“La Promenade is awesome , food is amazing staff very helpful“

“In 2024, the Monsey area is filled with catering establishments, take-out store, and bakeries, and yet Glaubers, which has been here forever, is still the best. They have catered kiddushin and a wedding for us and we were always greatly satisfied. When you go to the store you will find fresh and delicious food, and the people serving you are even more delicious! If you haven't been to Glaubers yet, go tomorrow.“

“Everything in Rispoli is delicious! Can't beat their lobster tails! We drive 90min each way every time we have a Rispoli craving and bring their cookies and pastries to our friends in central jersey. Next week we're shipping cookies to Oregon! I have a feeling it will become a regular occurrence. Thanks for never disappointing us!“

“My son was recently diagnosed with EOE and is dairy, nut and egg free. Someone recommended AltEats so I contacted Laurie and she worked her magic! My son was able to enjoy an amazingly delicious birthday cake for the first time! She also created the most delicious cannoli filled cake for my guests! I can’t say enough about how easy Laurie was to work with and how lucky I feel blessed I feel to have found this establishment!“

“I was there for the first time more than six months ago and it's the only place I liked to buy the baked goods there. The baked goods there are so delicious, especially the potato borax, which is almost impossible to find in the baked goods places there. They are so delicious that every time I go to Monsey and I want to have a snack, I go there. It is so delicious and the service there is also very nice.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this bakery and the incredible service they provided for our wedding.

We decided somewhat last minute that we wanted a wedding cake, and they were able to accommodate our request on a very tight timeline. There was a small rush fee, which was completely understandable, and absolutely worth it. From the moment we spoke with them, they were professional, helpful, and committed to making our vision come to life.

What made the experience even more special was that the cake design was essentially a freestyle cherry blossom theme. We trusted their creativity, and they exceeded every expectation. The cake was absolutely stunning and became one of the most beautiful details of our wedding.

As gorgeous as the cake looked, the flavor was even better. We chose a two-tier cake with chocolate cake and cannoli filling on one tier, and yellow cake with fresh raspberry filling on the other. Both were phenomenal. The flavors were perfectly balanced, rich without being heavy, and sweet without being overpowering. The icing complemented the cake beautifully rather than overwhelming it.

To be completely honest, it was one of the best cakes I've ever had. Many wedding cakes look beautiful but don't necessarily taste amazing. This cake delivered both. Our guests loved it, and we received numerous compliments throughout the evening.

Thank you for accommodating us on short notice and creating such a beautiful and delicious centerpiece for our wedding celebration. We are so grateful and would highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for exceptional quality, creativity, and customer service.“

“I am NYC born & raised but moved out of state. Happened to find this amazing bakery on a visit to NYC. I am beyond pleased with ALL the treats I purchased.“

“I’ve counted on Despina and her team for custom cakes for multiple special occasions (birthdays, baptisms, weddings, dinner parties). They exceed expectations every time. Not only are the cakes beautiful, but the flavors and quality of the product is top notch. Communication is clear, detailed, and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Cream to anyone looking for a special way to celebrate!“

“Excellent quiche and delicious cappuccino“

“Tried Half Baked for the first time last weekend. Friendly staff and AMAZING cookies! Much better and BIGGER than “you know who”. My Daughter absolutely loved every one we tried. We bought a four pack and were sad we didn’t try the guava one. We will be back next weekend looking forward to the new selection!“

“Excellent service, taste and decorations. LOVE LOVE-LOVE THEM Thank you“

“Sweet spot in Ridgewood with great pastries, treats and coffees. They have a ton of homemade coffee syrups and fun drinks. I got an iced mocha and it was very good. The decor inside is very fun, I especially dig the parrot chandelier. Definitely worth stopping in while you're in Ridgewood.“

“If you're looking for a delightful culinary experience, look no further than Taam Eden Bakery in New Square! This hidden gem has quickly become my go-to spot for fresh baked goods and mouthwatering treats.

From the moment you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries envelops you, setting the stage for an incredible experience. The selection is impressive, featuring everything from traditional challah and bagels to an array of delicious pastries that are hard to resist.

The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. I particularly recommend their signature babka—it's perfectly rich, moist, and beautifully braided. Each slice is a heavenly combination of chocolate and cinnamon, making it an absolute must-try. Their rugelach is also exceptional, with just the right amount of sweetness and a flaky texture that melts in your mouth.

The staff at Taam Eden Bakery are friendly and welcoming, always ready to help you choose the perfect treat or answer any questions you may have. Their passion for baking shines through in their customer service, making each visit feel special.

Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, a midday snack, or to pick up treats for a gathering, Taam Eden Bakery is the place to be. It's a fantastic spot to indulge your sweet tooth or enjoy a savory bite. I can't recommend it enough—definitely a five-star experience! 🍞🥐✨“

“See ya Sook! Bourbon Street Beignet is now my favorite local pastry shop. Born in New Orleans (Charity Hospital-1952) and lived in Paris for a few years as a teenager. Jules does a great job with all his pastries. The beignets were warm, fresh and tasty and on par with Cafe du Monde in NOLA. Will be coming here again.......soon!“

“Tried the USR location this morning as it's located around the corner from my office. Front staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful with assisting me to navigate options as a first time visitor. There was no line and I quickly received my to-go order. The ham, egg, and cheese croissant was delicious- fluffy and flaky, not at all greasy, and the perfect cheese pull. Can't wait to return to try desserts and coffee!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Restaurant Experience! ❤️ I came across this unique and beautiful restaurant while searching online. I was looking for a special place to take my family out for dinner because it was my oldest son's birthday. I also read the history of this beautiful place, Father a Son team and it sounded like something down our alley and my son would really love to experience. Oh my goodness! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such a warm and welcoming attitude. We were seated in the best spot, and they even brought out a high chair for my grandson. We try to put him in high chairs but he just doesn't like them. This little guy wants to be a big boy already😂❤️ Our waiter, Ali I believe that was his name, was absolutely the best! He was so approachable, funny, and well mannered with all of us. He even joked around with my grandson, which made the experience even more special. Thank u! Everything we had was delicious! From the warm bread with olives and olive oil to the appetizers, to our main dishes and oh my goodness, those drinks🍹 They were to die for! Now that's what I call, “Call me an Uber!” 😂 They definitely were not stingy with the alcohol, and those drinks were so good! 😉 They even brought out a little dessert for my son to celebrate his birthday, and it was so, so good and absolutely delicious! 🎂❤️ I rate this restaurant 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Honestly, if I could give them double the stars, I gladly would! Thank you for treating my family as if we were right at home and we did feel as were home❤️ Your hospitality, food, drinks, and wonderful service made my son's birthday dinner truly memorable and ours too! We will definitely be back! ❤️ and this time we would love to seat in that beautiful garden outside❣️“

“Modern Cakery is the best place for all of your bakery needs!! We ordered cookies for my son's birthday and they were absolutely delicious. We also regularly stop by the bakery for an after school treat. The owners were sweet enough to get to know my kids, and let us know when they'll be making their favorite cookies! Truly, the most wonderful people. 10/10 recommend.“

“Joe’s Craft Pies in Westwood NJ has some of the most delicious, homemade, awesome pies in the tri-state area. Joe really provides high quality ingredients and fresh pies that will keep you coming back. Great and kind customer service as well.“

“We took our first-ever trip to Stew Leonard’s, and it completely lived up to the hype.
Right from the entrance, the customer service stood out—every team member we encountered was genuinely warm, welcoming, and helpful. The kid-sized shopping carts were an instant hit, keeping our little one happily engaged while we explored the aisles.
A big reason we decided to visit was a recommendation comparing their soft-serve ice cream to the classic Mister Softee experience—giving you all that sweet childhood nostalgia without having to stand next to idling truck fumes. It delivered on that promise and then some.
Beyond the fun atmosphere, the product selection across the store is fantastic. We loaded up on several Stew Leonard’s brand items to bring home, and every single product has been top quality and delicious. It turns ordinary grocery shopping into a fun family outing, and we will definitely be going back!“

“My kiddos love all the dessert options here but the mochi donuts are their favorite while us adults are convinced they make the best almond croissants and stuffed croissants ever! The Nutella offerings have been delicious too! The king donuts are superior to any Boston crepe I’ve ever tried! So many options. We only go for desserts but I know they offer sandwiches too! Just a place worth walking to especially if you’re already in town and paid for parking in the vicinity. Enjoy the options cuz there’s just so many to choose from! We go back often, it never ever disappoints! We even bought the cappuccino cake for a special birthday because we loved how it looked and it tasted just as great!!!“

“I would like to recommend Amato bread, I ordered the Eggplant, Mozzarella and Prosciutto on a fresh roll with Balsamic glaze. It was delicious and Joe the owner was very friendly and accommodating.“

“I’ve been coming to this bakery as long as I can remember. The rolls are always amazing and the cookies and desserts are great! Picked up a Bavarian Pecan Cake and festive cookies for the Fourth of July and was very good! The service is always great! Everyone is so friendly! Can’t recommend this bakery enough!“

“The best place to order for any occasion!! All are very good in taste picture perfect!!! Beautiful decorating!! Fantastic service!!! Whenever I buy all gets eaten up in minutes not a pc left!!!! If I order it’s ONLY ONLY from GREENS DELIGHT!!!!!??“

“I would rather swallow poison than anyone else's cappuccino. Best coffee, vibe of any cafe in Westchester. Staff is super cool and I love the music they play. I am not cool but I feel cool when I'm in there.“

“Love their coffee and the small time vibe where it is located. Great service and people that work there!“

“Lovvvveee these kinds of shops! Always find a good, unique assortment of snacks, bread and more at a very reasonable price... they had a huge selection to choose from of cakes, doughnuts, bread, chips and more. Got two desserts for $5 when they are normally more than $5 each.. they also sometimes have a "mangers special" area where things that are gonna expire soon are priced around $1-2 dollars each.. nice employees, tons of parking, great selection and prices.. not noticable in traffic thankful they had a sign!! Doesn't look like it's a retail shop but it is!! Will definitely return when I'm in the area.“
