“Ordered for the first time since learning they moved & opened their doors in Morris Plains! They were our FAVORITE restaurant in Cedar Knolls! “Beautiful decor on the inside. Restaurant gets busy so make reservation just in case! Had dinner Monday night and Ashley was amazing. The sake warrior is like a limey summer refresher. “I was at first excited when Dao Madison moved into town and even more excited when I was told they can accommodate gluten free as I have celiac. After several miss steps with mixed up orders, Dao is now cooking on all cylinders. We recently were there with friends and everyone loved it. Moreover, they have successfully accommodated my need to eat gluten free (I have celiac) several times, and have been pro active in suggesting what is easier and safer to make gluten free. This place is a gem.“

“My family and I come here all the time for large family gatherings. The food is absolutely phenomenal here, especially the pecking duck buns and sweet and sour pork. We also love the soy sea bass, crispy chicken, ginger scallion lobster, pork chops and corn egg drop soup. One time we brought them king crab legs to cook and they cooked all of our king crab legs to perfection!! I don’t usually write google reviews but this place is so special to me and my family and adore this spot. The service is so fast and attentive and they are kind enough to provide free dessert whether that be fresh oranges, fresh fruit or even sometimes sweet red bean soup! Please consider coming here and supporting them! They’re so deserving, hardworking and kind!!“

“This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was outstanding. The dumplings were delicate and filled with delicious fillings. The Sweet and Sour Pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right balance of sweet and sour flavors. The restaurant also pays attention to detail in presentation. The staff was extremely polite and efficient. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious Chinese food.“

“I’ve been ordering Chinese takeout back to living in Brooklyn for 20+ years. In almost all Chinese restaurant reviews, people always complain about delivery and how many shrimp they got. Just order pick up and don’t go to pricy places if u want to avoid being disappointed. I’ve bought from Madison Wok for 15 years now and never had a late order when ordering pick up here (usually 15 mins). The food tastes exactly as my local restaurant when I was a kid, so I can’t complain. For the price, consider how little you are paying for the amount of work and manpower going into it •• esp since it’s done so fast. Dao nearby has slightly less oil and flavor for a lot more money. I wanted to like it but just poor value since your deliver or pick up order price needs to support the wait staff. No American style Chinese food is healthy for you so stop thinking you’re doing something good by paying someone extra to do less oil, msg, etc. in summary, this is an old school place that gives you the standards for the least amount of money you’ll pay in this zip code. Not something to eat everyday, but when you need your fix for this kind of stuff. I recommend the pork dumplings, fried wings, curry chicken, wonton soup and any fried rice, plus the chow fun and generals chicken. My 3 kids never complain and no one has ever been sick. Sometimes I’m not crazy about the amount of meat but remember that I’m not paying $15 or $20 for a pint here, and the low prices are supporting a skeleton crew.“

“Very good take-out Chinese food option for the area. Food is hot and cooked well, with a variety that is typical of Chinese take-out. We enjoyed their fried rice, orange chicken, and steamed chicken with broccoli. The fried dumplings were on the oily side, so we’ll probably get them steamed for our next order. Prices have remained reasonable over the years.“

“Love this place, my go to Chinese takeout. I have been ordering from here for years now. Food and orders are consistent and there are never any issues. The Chicken Broccoli is a solid go to with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and a flavorful light brown sauce that isn’t overly salty. The Chicken Cashew balances savory flavors perfectly, and they never skimp on the chicken or the cashews. “Looking for a change in ordering Chinese food and was very happy with this restaurant. Their hot and sour soup was so flavorful. Just the right amount of hot and seasoned perfectly. The chicken chow mein was delicious with lots of chicken and a wonderful sauce. The pork fried rice also was nicely prepared with excellent flavors. Even their egg rolls were nice and crispy without being greasy. Will be adding the China Pavilion to our list of takeout locations.“

“Just picked up food from here for the first time because our usual spot was randomly closed for the day. Too bad for them, bc this place will now be our usual spot. Portions are great for the price. Food was seasoned perfrctly and just the right level of spice. My kids especially loved the green colored steamed dumplings. “Was looking for a good authentic Chinese food in this part of Jersey, and this place clearly delivered. Incredible minced beef soup to start. Then had the fried rice, braised duck with mixed vegetables, and pan-fried flounder. Delicious. The service was good and attentive, though quite pricey, especially the duck ( $38), and there wasn't much meat, just more vegetables. But the flounder was worth it, $32.95.“

“This place is really convenient in the middle of town between Summit and Chatham. They speak very good English and they’re not cheap with the meat that they put in the food. The food taste very delicious and the broccoli was really fresh and when you get beef and broccoli the beef is not chewy it is soft and has good flavor. Their egg drop soup is also very good. I was really disappointed by the other more expensive Chinese food places and the end of this place being the diamond of the town.“

My favorites are the Barbecue pork and the Chicken & Broccoli. They're simply delicious! You can get two meats with fried rice or lo mein for just $9.35.
