“Ordered for the first time since learning they moved & opened their doors in Morris Plains! They were our FAVORITE restaurant in Cedar Knolls! I’m SO happy to have them ‘back’ (a bit further of a drive, but so worth it!!) Everything was just as delicious as I remembered it being! We’ll be back SOON!!“

“Beautiful decor on the inside. Restaurant gets busy so make reservation just in case! Had dinner Monday night and Ashley was amazing. The sake warrior is like a limey summer refresher. Just with a little twist. Really good! Shrimp dumplings are so bomb, as well as the sesame chicken and glass noodle. Great service.“

“This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was outstanding. The dumplings were delicate and filled with delicious fillings. The Sweet and Sour Pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right balance of sweet and sour flavors. The restaurant also pays attention to detail in presentation. The staff was extremely polite and efficient. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious Chinese food.“

Foods were not bad. We like the Dumpling Soup / Xiao Long Bao, Crab Rangoon was pretty good, too.
We love the snow peas shoot steamed vegetables.
Peking duck was ok. The Mala Pot dish was disappointed, didn't taste Mala at all & and was tasteless. Veggie Lo Mien was not bad.
They gave us Free Ice Cream 🥰

“I have lived in town for about 6 years. We found this restaurant online and gave it a try. We ordered the pineapple and chicken fried rice, a dish called Phoenix, and the General Tso's Shrimp. “My family and I come here all the time for large family gatherings. The food is absolutely phenomenal here, especially the pecking duck buns and sweet and sour pork. We also love the soy sea bass, crispy chicken, ginger scallion lobster, pork chops and corn egg drop soup. One time we brought them king crab legs to cook and they cooked all of our king crab legs to perfection!! I don’t usually write google reviews but this place is so special to me and my family and adore this spot. The service is so fast and attentive and they are kind enough to provide free dessert whether that be fresh oranges, fresh fruit or even sometimes sweet red bean soup! We enjoyed their fried rice, orange chicken, and steamed chicken with broccoli. The fried dumplings were on the oily side, so we’ll probably get them steamed for our next order. “I’ve been ordering Chinese takeout back to living in Brooklyn for 20+ years. In almost all Chinese restaurant reviews, people always complain about delivery and how many shrimp they got. Just order pick up and don’t go to pricy places if u want to avoid being disappointed. I’ve bought from Madison Wok for 15 years now and never had a late order when ordering pick up here (usually 15 mins). The food tastes exactly as my local restaurant when I was a kid, so I can’t complain. For the price, consider how little you are paying for the amount of work and manpower going into it •• esp since it’s done so fast. Dao nearby has slightly less oil and flavor for a lot more money. I wanted to like it but just poor value since your deliver or pick up order price needs to support the wait staff. No American style Chinese food is healthy for you so stop thinking you’re doing something good by paying someone extra to do less oil, msg, etc. in summary, this is an old school place that gives you the standards for the least amount of money you’ll pay in this zip code. Not something to eat everyday, but when you need your fix for this kind of stuff. I recommend the pork dumplings, fried wings, curry chicken, wonton soup and any fried rice, plus the chow fun and generals chicken. My 3 kids never complain and no one has ever been sick. Sometimes I’m not crazy about the amount of meat but remember that I’m not paying $15 or $20 for a pint here, and the low prices are supporting a skeleton crew.“

The chicken chow mein was delicious with lots of chicken and a wonderful sauce. The pork fried rice also was nicely prepared with excellent flavors. “This place is really convenient in the middle of town between Summit and Chatham. They speak very good English and they’re not cheap with the meat that they put in the food. The food taste very delicious and the broccoli was really fresh and when you get beef and broccoli the beef is not chewy it is soft and has good flavor. Their egg drop soup is also very good. I was really disappointed by the other more expensive Chinese food places and the end of this place being the diamond of the town.“

“A week ago, my family and I ordered take-out from here, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences my brother-in-law ever had. We always order from Cedar Knolls as that is typically closer to home, but the day we ordered, we never looked at the location when my brother-in-law made the call. They are surprisingly cheaper than Cedar Knolls, and when we got the food, everything was so fresh and flavorful. The steamed dumplings were huge compared to Cedar Knolls and tasted amazing. My brother-in-law kept joking with them about where he was going to pick up the food and if we were getting anything complimentary for such a big food order. To say they delivered is an understatement. My brother-in-law now has drink glasses with Hunan Wok's logo on it, and it is beautiful. Not to mention, they even added a soup on the house. The whole family has agreed that this is definitely our new go-to whenever we're in the mood for Chinese food.“
