Service however is just ok to slow. They brought out the dishes but forgot platters. They also never came back for the check. We had to find someone to give us the check.“

The charcuterie plates provide were fresh and delish ( not to mention she inquired about possible food allergies and dietary needs) which was a plus as my girlfriend and I do not eat meat. 3 this is experience surpasses your typical wine tasting IT IS INFORMATIVE! “I wish I could give Sihana Bistro more than five stars. We hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for my brother and the party exceeded all of my expectations. My first call with the fantastic owner, David, was seamless. David is incredibly nice and so easy to work with. He catered to our every need, was responsive throughout the planning stage, and was present during our entire event.

Venue: This restaurant is beautiful. You feel good as soon as you walk in. It’s bright and spotless. The ceilings are high and the attention to detail in the design and decor is obvious. There was more than enough room for our all of guests and the layout - private room + bar area - was perfect.

Staff: The staff is SO KIND. The service was impeccable and they are hands down the best team I’ve worked with. They helped us move furniture, kept the food coming at just the right pace, served drinks quickly, accommodated all requests through the night, and let us stay after the restaurant closed because we were having such a good time.

Foods: One word: Excellent. The food was DELICIOUS and there was so much of it. We served a true buffet dinner and had leftovers after feeding all of our guests! The mushrooms were a hit!

Location: The location is great and close to literally everything downtown. The restaurant was easy for our guests to get to and there are so many places to go nearby after an event. The Rutgers campus nearby is also spectacular to see when you visit.

“I go to this airport very frequently and this is one of my favorite bars. The bartenders are cool to talk to, very fun, straight forward, and are willing to help. The cellphone ordering is very cool and helpful for when the bartender has a full order. You can just get your order in and not have to wait to get their attention like at traditional bars. Ordering is like getting a delivery on Amazon, but much faster“

“Wow! Had an outstanding night at the Roxy and I think it’s been my best bite in JC.

Service was incredible, friendly, and attentive. We did go at an off peak time, so we got extra special service. However, I think at any time the service would be top notch.

The cocktails were excellent. Extremely balanced, delicious and amazingly seasonal.

The food was soooo good. I had the short rib special and I highly recommend it while it’s available. Absolutely delicious and the best short rib dish I’ve had.

“One of our favorite restaurants in the area, and that’s including Montclair. The atmosphere is elevated, modern, and has a beautiful ambiance. Something you might come across in the city. I’ve had the Chicken parm here several times and it never disappoints. Great red sauce, generous portion, and reasonably priced. My friends had the bronzino and chicken milanese which they both loved, and they are food critics! The staff is always friendly and attentive. We feel lucky to have such a gem in our neighborhood. Also be sure to try the amazing pastries and desserts from their sister bakery at Lady Fingers!“

“Can I please give it 6 stars? I recently went there with a group of five family members while visiting New Jersey and we had a truly extraordinary night! As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. “My fiancee and I came here and ordered, the tropical flatbread, the surf and turf, the lamb chops with jolof rice, and the lava cake. The lamb chops with the jolof rice were amazing! The flatbread and lava cake were also very good. Will definetly order again when we return. The filet mignon from the surf and turf was well cooked, but the lobster was overcooked, unfortunately.

The drinks are good and very strong.

I am so surprised that I haven’t been to Mandara’s before considering that I have been frequenting the Essex County area for the past four years. Decided to go for dinner tonight and we can’t wait to come back!

Highlights:
You HAVE to try the pizza, one of the best margherita pizza’s in this area and the chicken marsala was phenomenal! The portions are generous!!

The service was amazing, our waiter came by to check in on us at appropriate times, they brought over extra napkins without us even having to ask, and were attentive to our requests.

Overall, ambiance was amazing, great food with huge portions, and amazing staff!“

It was just a nice, calm place to have breakfast since there wasn't much open right there on Sunday morning. The staff was very friendly.
