It just has that bit of personality that makes it feel like a place out of a small town instead of the middle of Manhattan—and that’s a really good thing.My one suggestion would be to maybe add an impossible burger, turkey burger, or a chicken dish to the menu. “Antepli is amazing. The Kanafeh and Baklava are absolutely delicious, and always worth coming by for on a weekend night. The cold variant with the ice cream is so good and my go to. The Turkish tea is always a delight to have with your sweets as well. It can get busy, especially on weekends and nights, but your patience will most definitely be rewarded here.“

PISTACHIO GELATO - this was absolutely delicious, and the gelato lady told me that their pistachio packs a real punch -- I have to agree. This is the most heavyhanded pistachio gelato I've ever had. Super concentrated flavor and really delicious. Smooth, a little dense in texture, and def worth a revisit. NOCCIOLA - their hazelnut was quite delicious, too, and had the same amazing texture as the first. Compared to other gelatos, I would say theirs is denser/stretchy, and oh so satisfying. I also learned that the most authentic gelato would melt if placed in a mountain on display, like you see in little italy. "Real" gelato is found in metal tubs that the scoops are dug out from, just as it is in this place. Def would come back CATEGORY: EXCELLENT (terrible / bad / ok / good / great / EXCELLENT)“
“Simply amazing ???. My boyfriend and I went here last night, and we had a great time. The vibe was so positive, the staff were so sweet and friendly and accommodating, and the food was amazing. “I have been craving sesame-flavored things, so I had to go here when I saw that it has sesame ice cream. It was good--not too sweet, a good combination of sweet and savory, and subtly fragrant. Although I stopped tasting it after eating it for a while. It did feel expensive for a scoop of ice cream on a cone ($6.30) but at least the scoop was pretty big. There are a lot of cool flavors so I hope to go back sometime.“

There was only 1 person working at the time but I didn't have to wait too long for my food. Since it's small, there are not many places to sit, so most people do to-go orders. I ordered an item from each category: * Grapefruit Green Tea Boba - 9/10 - I liked the grapefruit pulp that was mixed into the boba, because of the different textures. The 50% sugar was the perfect amount of sweetness. * Almond Chocolate Croffle - 7/10 - The croffle tasted a bit stale and it was cold, so I don't think they make it fresh. But, I did like the toppings. * Lychee Rose Ice Cream - 8/10 - I liked the small pieces of lychee throughout the ice cream and the rose flavor was not overbearing. Overall, I would come again to try the boba floats. I think they shine more for their drinks than anything else.“

“My family and I love love love Kubo. Since they opened, we def try to come here any time were in the area. My fave fave fave is the Ube Soft Serve with Taiyaki and boba. Their soft serve is just so creamy and flavorful. I haven't tried everything on their menu yet, but I def plan to. Posting a pic from our most recent visit last week.They have a small seating area, but in the warmer seasons they add some extra outside seating which is nice. The cherry chocolate chip ice cream was nice and enjoyable. Had a good flavor with nice huge chunks of chocolate chip. A good amount of whipped cream on top. “This place definitely lived up to the hype. I went simple and got a hot matcha latte and it was one of the best ones I've had in a very long time, if not the best. I got it without any modifications and it was SO delicious. The matcha flavor was there and it didn't taste artificially sweet at all. I got a cookie too which was a tad dry but would probably have gone really well with a hot drink. I'm still rating 5 stars because I was so happy with the latte. Can't wait to come back and try the ice cream too when the weather is warmer!Also, there is no seating inside but they have some benches outside for when the weather's nice.“

“Taiyaki NYC nails it on their soft serve -- it is EXCELLENT. Creamy, just flavorful enough, not too sweet. The taiyaki fish cone could use a little improvement -- it was a bit too thin/crunchy at the top and had more of a pancake-like texture at the bottom. (I'm a big SomiSomi fan, so I'm comparing this filled cone to theirs.) You can just get the soft serve in a cup with no cone (and it cost less), so if you're in the mood for just get soft serve Taiyaki is a great option. I'd give the soft serve a 5 and the cone a 3, so overall I'm rating Taiyaki NYC 4.“

The customer service was amazing as well with the gelatos. Definitely recommend coming here on Thursday mornings where there is no lines. When coming here with my family back in August 2012 by walking, we each one had chocolate custard and it tasted great. Every time I came here for my summer camp walk in August 2011 and July 2012 with my camp counselors, I would usually eat green apple ices. Overall, the service was excellent and the desserts there were delicious.“
