We ordered the shrimp toast, lychee ceviche, the butter chicken experience, and the Chilean sea bass Malwani style — every single dish was outstanding. The butter chicken experience is unlike anything you’ve had before, and the Malwani sea bass was perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The lychee ceviche was such a creative, refreshing start.
But the star of the evening? The saffron drink. Absolutely out of this world — we’re still thinking about it!

“Cozy, intimate atmosphere. The service and presentation were wonderful. We had Tamarind Scallops and Chili Crab for appetizers. The crab was phenomenal and my favorite of all the dishes we ordered. For mains, we had Zameen Doz and Punjabi Tikhe Kebab with Malai Naan. The Dover sole was delicious and the pasanda sauce perfect for dipping the naan. The chicken was tender, juicy and so good! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and were treated to a birthday dessert by our very attentive and kind waiter.“

“Been to this place quite a few times and we are big fans now! The two items I would say are absolute must have are the steamed veggie momos and the paneer tikka tacos!

Those tacos are genuinely so so so tasty! And the momos here are our absolute favorites in JC / NYC. I don’t think anyone makes better momos than them - and if you disagree, we are happy to do a taste test haha. We have tried the fried momos and steamed momos and while both are great, we are partial to the steamed ones!

The owner, Mr Rana, is super friendly. He accommodated us on a busy night on Karwa Chauth, he is always super friendly when we walk in with our baby in her car seat or stroller and helps us make space and get her situated very comfortably.

The mango lassi and masala chais were excellent, and the tandoor tikka and pepperoni pizzas we got to-go were delicious. The service was top-notch, and the host was so sweet. The lamb is real lamb not that bs gyro meat.. these are actual cuts of lamb and delicious chicken. These would be delicious over some rice but I’m keto so I went salad. “During our recent visit to Chelsea Market, we decided to try Chote Miya for a quick Indian snack. We ordered the Vada Pav and Paneer Momo. Going in, our expectations were fairly low, but we were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful both dishes were.

The Vada Pav was definitely the highlight—fresh, tasty, and packed with authentic flavors. The Paneer Momo was also enjoyable and complemented the meal well. Service was quick, and the prices were reasonable, especially considering it’s located inside Chelsea Market.

If you’re in the area and craving Indian food, Chote Miya is definitely worth a try.“
