“This food is the closest to NY Chinese food Ive ever experienced since moving to NJ 18 yrs ago. no more asking for pork fried rice & receiving orange rice with nothing in it, fried wontons are fried, MSG. yum yum-everything Ive ordered is delicious. “In my continued quest to find a New York style Chinese restaurant, based on recommendations from neighbors, I tried this restaurant. I ordered online at their website which was fairly easy to do. Being a bargain hunter I couldn’t resist the family dinner for six. It came with six egg rolls, six chicken on sticks, six cheese wontons, 2 quarts of soup, two quarts of fried rice, and choice of three entrees. It came with all of the appropriate sauces, crispy noodles, etc. The delivery was promised in 55 minutes and the food arrived exactly on-time. The egg rolls were crispy and very good. The chicken on the stick was very moist and tasty. The wonton soup was tasty and very traditional. The cheese wontons were a very nice starter and the dipping sauce added nice sweetness. For entrees we had sesame chicken which got a thumbs up from my wife. I ordered roast pork lo mein which was also a thumb up. I struggled deciding on a third entree and finally gave in to honey chicken (not my personal favorite because of the thick coating batter). Overall, a very competent dinner. I’m glad the food was really good because we’ll be eating the leftovers for many days!“

“I'm actually very impressed with this place. We were looking for something on Christmas Day and was glad we found here. What a hidden gem! The food was hot and fresh and not overly sweet or drenched in salty sauce like some of your other Chinese take out places! Heck they even ran a lunch specials on Christmas Day! Awesome price and generous portions. We got the beef chow fun, shrimp with broccoli, hunan tofu and chicken with spring beans. “We often order from Verona Chinese Kitchen, delivery only. Deliveries are prompt. I really like their Sesame Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Chicken with Cashew Nuts. My husband enjoys their Beef with Snowpeas, and Shrimp Toast. We sometimes order their soups, especially the Hot and Sour soup and Wonton soup, but ask for modifications as my husband has certain tolerances. I ordered sesame chicken combo and the Mongolian beef. They were both super good. I don’t normally like my sesame chicken a little spicy and they made it just right for me.
The customer service is also great. I had accidentally ordered white rice with the Mongolian beef and when I picked up my order they switched it to fried rice right away with no extra charge. It’s really hard to find such a great seafood restaurant in the middle of New Jersey, where dining options are quite limited.
