Had the sunflower linguini most recently- what a great marriage of flavor! Pesto based heavy on the garlic which I loved. We started with the whipped ricotta with flat bread- nice consistency and the thinly sliced grapes add a pleasant texture and taste.

Service was awesome. Very attentive- helpful with menu suggestions and prompt.

Overall this has been a nice find as I’ve only been to Jersey City twice. It’s right next door to White Eagle and a great opportunity to combine dinner with live music.“

“I have been to Bistro Taino several times including for a special birthday dinner and it never disappoints. Tonight I went with some coworkers and as always everything was so good. We shared the crabmeat empanadas and each had the bifongo as entrees with chicken, steak, and seafood. We also shared the coconut tembleque for dessert. Special shout out to our server, Arianni, she was amazing! Friendly, attentive, and personable. Great service, food and ambiance, can’t ask for more. In particular we were really looking forward to trying the calamari but it seems like several of the items are seasonal, oysters Rockefeller was also not available. The fried calamari was even on menu photos from a month ago, but not available when we went.

That being said the food was pretty good overall, good vibe, service was also great and food came quickly.

“We are BEYOND ECSTATIC with our wedding cake and all other pastries and desserts provided by Calandra’s Bakery! No other bakery bakes your cake at 3:00AM the day of your wedding and it shows! Super fresh moist and SUPER DELICIOUS! Every guests commented about the spectacular presentation…simple yet elegant carrying our live orchid theme with LIFELIKE piped orchid petals cascading down each layer! What a joy to have such an unforgettable and memorable experience of knowing our family and friends will remember our wedding cake as much as we will! We had the choice of several bakeries but must end by telling this story…we had checked out a couple of bakeries but after a final wedding gown fitting we decided to visit Calandras. Unannounced we asked to see the person who could help us with our wedding cake. Calandra’s is an incredible “complex” and was extremely busy place but we were directed to Aisha Maliki. Aisha dropped everything presented us with an exquisite tray of every wedding cake option in bite size proportions all fresh and delicious. She gave us coffee and tea and gave us time to talk amongst ourselves in a relaxed atmosphere until our decision was unanimous! She then proceeded to take us through the endless design options available and helped us tweak every little detail until alas our vision for the PERFECT wedding cake had come to life! Mind you we did this unannounced but Aisha couldn’t have been more cordial personable professional and most of all friendly! We left SO elated to leave having one of the most important wedding checkboxes checked and feeling we just had welcomed a new family member into the fold! “Wow! Had an outstanding night at the Roxy and I think it’s been my best bite in JC.

Service was incredible, friendly, and attentive. We did go at an off peak time, so we got extra special service. However, I think at any time the service would be top notch.

The cocktails were excellent. Extremely balanced, delicious and amazingly seasonal.

The food was soooo good. I had the short rib special and I highly recommend it while it’s available. Absolutely delicious and the best short rib dish I’ve had.

“Chose this place based on the menu one Sunday when a friend and I decided to meet last minute, and I'm very happy that I did.
The inside is nice and bright & very cozy. The staff are wonderfully attentive and pleasant.
The Lemon curd pancakes were scrumptious- even my 10-months-old daughter loved them. The Challah bread French Toast was delicious. Both dishes are shareable, and I'll do that next time. I will definitely be back! Of course the parking is precarious because of the restaurant's location but it's worth it.“

Our server, John, was incredibly friendly, explained all the specials, and gave great recommendations. He had a wonderful sense of humor too! “I went to Martha's during lunch with my colleagues. The interior is a nice vibe that fits anything from a lunch with coworkers to brunch with family. Our server did a great job of explaining the menu options. We ordered some apps and then ordered the steak frites. The steak was cooked to perfection.
