Prices & portions were fair. The whole vibe of the area was low-key & pleasant with the dog-friendly patio, next door local shops, and other patrons. If these Wisconsintes find ourselves in Jersey City again, we will absolutely make a dedicated return to the Wurstbar!“

“This past August, I had my daughter’s bridal shower at Sidebar. I made all my arrangements with Danny. It was a pleasure to work with him. Everything turned out great. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, the waiters and waitresses were very accommodating. Everyone had a great time. Don’t hesitate to have an event here!“

“I went with my wife and daughter for a few days. We ended up at the Grove every day for brunch and dinner. Staff was over the top amazing! Not to mention the food was fantastic! Now to the atmosphere…we are normally early in people but this place was so much fun with the karaoke and back to the staff, that one night we didn’t leave until midnight! So so much fun and gave us great memories! Added bonus, it snowed!!!“

“First of all don’t be put off by the appearance of the bar, it has a bit of a sports bar vibe but, but it serves some seriously good food.\nThe staff are friendly , helpful and efficient.\nI started off with Fren onion soup, a favourite of mine, and it’s was as good as any I have ever had.\nI followed with the pork chop, which was well worth the 15 minutes wait that the waitress had told me about, and absolutely delicious it was.\nThe bar has an extensive selection of different drinks, I opted for an IPA, which was great.\nAll in all a very good experience, not fine dining by a long shot , but excellent bar food is offered.“

“I understand that there were two seatings for NYE but the fact there was so much pressure on the staff to get us out they were pulling plates before we were even finished eating was a little much. The food was delicious though! It is literally the hotel lobby open to everything, doesn't really present that way on OpenTable pictures but it is still nice.“

Me and my friends from the Northern New Jersey Buffalo Bills Backers are extremely grateful we landed here to watch our weekly games. They have gone out of their way to make every weekend more enjoyable than the last with accommodating the volume of guest we have visiting in, allowing us to play our music and SHOUT song, curating a Special Bills menu and joining us in on the celebration. Their cocktails are creative and their food is delicious, my favorite being the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich, fried pickles and espresso martinis. Their outdoor seating with a beautiful fire pit and TV's to watch outside is the best addition. The owner, manager and staff are so kind and I love how much they enjoy the games as much as we do. I highly recommend this spot not just for the sports aspect, but for a night out with your friends or loved ones. Extremely family/kid friendly and spacious. “I took my daughter there on 4/8/25 for her birthday omg it was an awesome experience,the food was exceptionally good and it was alot our server was mannerly, helpful, patient and polite.the ambience was good and the other guest was friendly, they even sang my daughter happy birthday. Also the price was really good for the amount of food we received. I'm definitely going back and I would recommend it to everyone“
