“We’ve always been happy with the Turkish food in this friendly place, but this Thanksgiving discovered that they also offer a turkey dinner on this day. $50 per person for tasty turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, special rice, plus pumpkin pie and coffee. Since we no longer want to be bothered at Thanksgiving we will probably return here.“

“So I just had iftaar with their tikka paratha roll that I had got last Sunday evening. It just tasted so good even though I ate it cold straight from the fridge. 😊 It didn't taste as good when I had ordered it on site. Then, without me even asking for anything, they remade it and gave it to me to take it home with me even though I had told them I was full. 😊😊 The largest portions I have ever seen anywhere, good food, clean, best interior and decor, excellent service. I have yet to see a BETTER or even equally nice place in NYC. 🤍 Jo baat hay. Food makes/breaks the mood.“

So glad that our vacation in NJ included eating at this yummy food cart.“

“Jersey Platers is seriously a 10/10! The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The plates are AMAZING — packed with so much food and everything tastes incredible. And the big fries?? They do not play around! You get a huge portion and they’re cooked perfectly every time.

The service is just as good as the food — super friendly and welcoming. You can tell everything is made with care. If you haven’t tried Jersey Platers yet, you’re missing out. Definitely one of my favorite spots and I’ll keep coming back! 🔥🍽️“

“The food is delicious!
I got the original chicken with rice platters and one chicken mix gyro wrap. Excellent and momma is really hard to please. We’re transplants from NYC and with NYC being at the top of the dining out / take home capital it is tough for many States and counties to compete with the flavor and cooking styles easily found in NYC just around every corner.

OMGRYRO easily hits all the marks with the exception of the Jerk Chicken. Jerk Chicken flavor profile is no bueno in my humble opinion and that is because it doesn’t come close to tasting like jerk seasoning and can’t compare to true jerk style flavor.

Everything else is we ordered and devoured tasted great, high on flavor with decent portion sizes.

Hope they put the Jerk Season flavor to the chicken NYC style.“

Since I’ve moved to JC (which I know is only across the river, but the food scene really is different), I have yet to find my go-to halal spot… until now! I paid $10 for a chicken over rice. The chicken was so juicy and they were very generous with the chicken and sauce. So delicious but also so dangerous that I’m so close by“

“I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

“The kufta kebab platter was SO GOOD. The meat was so tender and packed with flavor. Service was attentive and efficient. If you want the kufta though it’s recommended that you call for pick up before you go because it takes about 15 min to prepare. Highly recommend if you’re craving halal food!!“

“Wow and I mean it the best food i ever taste in town this hidden gem is amazing the food was delicious as i tried their hunger chef signature burger which was cooked to perfection every bite tells that this restaurant uses best ingredients
About service no words can describe how welcoming and caring the chef as well as owners who happened to arrive while we were there.
I have to mention that their secret ingredients sauce is great they call it hinger sauce“

“We went to River Edge branch on Friday night - the music and atmosphere are great.Restaurant is beautiful. They have very good singer/DJ, people were dancing till very late. “I ordered Chicken Biryani and Chicken Kabab through Uber Eats. After I ordered , I realized that I forgot to order Nan. So I called the restaurant and ask them that what can I do now. The person(probably the owner) replied , I will add Nan and whenever you visit, give me 2 Dollars. That was really a nice gesture which I will remember and must appreciate(along with the debt on me).
Talking about food, I had eaten many Biryanis in USA but it is one of the best real Pakistani biryani. Kababs were also fresh and tasty. I highly recommend those who want to have Halal and real Pakistani taste, must visit.“

The slight spice and tang of the lemon created a deep flavor. Plus the included white creamy sauce and spicy red sauce allowed me to dive deeper into the experience“

“Westside Shawarma is back with a vengeance. Never have I seen so much demand for a small food spot. Literal posts on the internet asking about this place. I was excited to see the G.O.A.T return, and more so with a proper shop. I got so excited, I ordered two chicken platters and only managed to finish one. “Humble seems to be the best word to summarize this restaurant. The men who run it seem to have a great rapport with their customers; they’ve been there for 20+ years and it shows. They were kind and accomodating. The food was plated carefully and was pretty taste. My only complaints were putting margarine on my pancakes without asking and the tiny plastic utensils, which left my hands covered in syrup. However both of those go to the restaurant being unpretentious. There’s no atmoshere to speak of but it was clean. I’d eat here again but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.“

“After coming to the USA, this food truck gave me one of the best food experiences so far. I tried the falafel wrap and chicken over rice for the first time, and oh my God—the flavors were absolutely amazing!
It was my first time trying street food here, and it instantly won my heart. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and so satisfying. On top of that, the person serving the food was extremely warm, friendly, which made the experience even better.

I’ve been living in the U.S. for 16 years, and the thing I’ve missed and loved the most is lahmacun. After trying it at PIDDE, I’ve never had lahmacun anywhere else again. At other places I’ve tried over the years, I always experienced heartburn afterward — but never at PIDDE.
