“We had 2 great meals here. We ordered the chicken taco appetizer, French onion soup which I swear was made from scratch and the mushroom ravioli. Main dish portions are big and the soup is a meal in its own. The sweet Visalia onions, croutons and gruyere cheese is wonderful, it is sweet though. The mushroom ravioli was amazing, the Parmesan sauce and sun dried tomatoes were very tasty and the portion was 7 or 8 ravioli we took 4 back to our hotel. Service was slow but you can see the sound from the restaurant and that was nice even though it was snowing.“
“We went here for restaurant week and the menu they served was incredible! They served both the duck and the lamb and they were each cooked to perfection. The service was lovely and attentive and we have already recommended it to multiple people. Can't wait to come back!“
“First time there- and went for a drink. Ryan G was the 2nd person I encountered from the establishment and he was attentive, personable and very cool to watch as he made these unique and great tasting drinks. The drink I had was worth it. I shall return. Thank you Ryan for a good experience.“
“You feel loved from the moment you walk in. The maitre d was radiant, the lady mc'ing the Monday night music event warm, friendly and engaging. The barman excelled at recommending the food choice. Wine was great too. Love this place.“
“Had a small tasting of cheeses that came with quince jam(Mahon Curado and Idiazabal), crusty soft bread with pure tangy EVOO, and a pear cardamom mezcal cocktail that was so juicy and balanced; They have a full dinner menu and many options for tapas and drink; Food is fresh and flavorful, great atmosphere, LIVE music, and service, a great place to come whether you're apart of the building community, on a date, or with family and friends.“
“One of the highlights of my visit to Roks was their fresh oysters. As a seafood lover, I am always on the lookout for restaurants that serve high-quality seafood, and Roks did not disappoint. The oysters were incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor, and expertly prepared. Each bite was a heavenly delight that left me wanting to order another round.“
“I've gone 2 times within the past 2 weeks and I'm hooked. You might not expect it walking in, but it's the perfect little gem for Hackensack. The taco tuesday specials are great but the delicious tacos make it more worth it. The margaritas are yummy too“
“Came here at the end of the summer for drinks. Sat in the backyard outdoor area. Service was prompt, I had a few drinks and the meatballs, which were tasty. Wifey enjoyed herself as well. Not a dinner spot per se, but a good place to come from drinks and bites as opposed to a meal that'll stuff you.“
“Small and absolutely perfect. Make reservations! Also open for lunch on some days and there is a sushi bar available. The sushi is unique in that each piece is individually wrapped in sustainable plastic so the nori retains its crunchiness. Have you ever noticed that nori on typical sushi is soggy? I didn't either, until I tried the crunchy nori at Nami Nori. So good! The whole table was raving about it. We had a business lunch here with 6 guests from NYC and LA. Everyone thought it was spectacular. It was a wonderful way to show off the amazing restaurant scene in Montclair. Beautiful minimalist space. Pretty expensive so date night or special occassion appropriate. Will be back!Vegetarian options: They are good about veg options. Several on the menu.Dietary restrictions: They ask up front and seem very diligent. Top notch.Parking: Street or garage only.Kid-friendliness: Not super kid friendly but could work for sushi-loving adventurous kids who can handle fine dining.“
“My brother in law and I stumbled upon this place about a year ago and we are so happy we did. Tim his wife and staff are awesome and the cocktails are on another level. The spirits are absolutely delicious. We love them all but the bourbon is amazing!! Make sure to stop by, can't wait to go again!!“
“The best spot to hang out at in the UWS!! I have had the best martinis here, some of my fav fried chicken sliders and the tastiest shishito peppers ever. You can’t go wrong with any drink and whether it’s the weekend or a nice weekday celebration this is the most fun spot to chill at.We just celebrated our law school first semester here and it was awesome!!Vegetarian options: Great eggplant appetizer that’s fully vegan!! So creamy and great sides for it!!!Dietary restrictions: Some of my besties are vegan/vegetarian and they love this spot!!“
“Awesome ambiance great food great flavors. My first time but will not be my last! Food was so great, didn’t even have time for photos :)Dietary restrictions: Im allergic to dairy and still had a number of items i could enjoy! This is rare at Italian restaurants but im back“
“We celebrated my bestfriend birthday here and our server marina was amazing please make sure to ask for her. The customer service was immaculate. The manager touched the rouble and converted with us about our experience.definitely a must go we will be back again and tell all our family and friends.“
“From the outside, you wouldn't think much about this spot. But once you enter and try their food, it's actually really good. This little gem is situated in Harlem, an easy drive from the Bronx. We walked in and got seated at our table. Our waitress and bartender were very friendly. The vibe was very romantic and cozy, perfect for date night or just grabbing dinner with your girls. They do play throwbacks and R&B so it's definitely a New York spot. Now on the food. The bruschetta was okay. My friend is not a fan of tomatoes, and I'm not a fan of unseasoned tomatoes, so it wasn't a win-win for us. However, the entrées were great. My friend got the skirt steak with fries and I got the linguine bolognese. My pasta was absolutely delectable, and I don't know how I finished the entire entire plate in one sitting. My friend liked her steak, but the fries still the show. They were perfectly fried, and crispy. We also got the berry red sangria. It tasted like a regular Pinot Grigio with a cherry added to it so it wasn't really that special but nonetheless, for $13, you get a full glass so you really can't complain. All in all, definitely check out the spot. It's low-key, but worth a try. I would definitely come back if I'm in the neighborhood. Thanks guys for a great dinner.“
“The food at the Inn by Fumo is delicious and the portions are huge! We had the slow-roasted chicken and catfish with the spicy vodka rice. Highly recommend them! The staff are also warm and personable. One of our servers, Carolina, overheard me and my partner talking about our recent and approaching birthdays. She surprised us with a slice of yummy tres leches cake. We can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!“
“We had a party of 16, from the minute we walked in until we left everything was beyond perfect. The staff is simply the best. Jocelyn especially helped my 90 year old mom upstairs and into the bathroom! Our server handled our large party with ease and grace and was so so sweet! Frank A went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed the whole time! Go there, you will not be disappointed!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp as well as an elevator to get upstairs! No stairs anywhere else.“
“I threw a 30th surprise party in the speakeasy and it was absolutely amazing!! Guests were raving about the place, food, cocktails, and service. The staff were attentive and made the experience outstanding. Definitely recommend having an event here!!“
“Always have such a good experience when I dine here. The food is incredible. Drinks are tasty and fun. The staff is always so welcoming and lovely. Definitely recommend for a date night or a night out with friends! Oh and the churros are out of this world!“
“This restaurant got me impressed with the food quality and service. I did not expected to be this good. Our server went above and beyond and the food was unexpectedly great. Love the classic theme and the music choice. I did recommended it already to some friends. I am not local anymore, but greetings from Florida and great job.“
“This is THE spot for cocktails. I’ve brought so many different people (probably 20+ at this point) to 67 Orange Street and everyone has loved it. Drinks aren’t cheap, but they are delicious and strong. Personal faves are Kentucky Blossom, Smoky and Spicy, and Coco Meets Ginger. Atmosphere is really warm and intimate; bringing friends, dates, whoever, you can’t go wrong.“
“I've never had whiskey before, because my mother always said it was an undignified drink for women. At the risk of appearing unladylike, I stumbled into The Hamilton with the intention of trying whiskey for the first time. As I was internally battling with my mother's judgement, a kind bartender named Ross noticed me looking troubled. He could tell immediately what my predicament was. I was surprised how intuitive he was. He assured me that women drink whiskey all the time, and it's completely normal. Ross allowed me to sample a few different kinds of whiskey, and I really loved how it made me feel! I'll admit, I did feel slightly more boisterous after consuming the samples, but Ross assured me that it was okay to express myself! At the end of the sampling, he fixed me an elegant cocktail, and I was again reminded of my feminine demeanor. I loved being able to let loose while sipping a delicate cocktail. Who says women can't drink whiskey??? THIS woman can and WILL! Thank you Ross.“
“Held a private event there (my 1st visit) and it was amazing thanks to Susannah, Jo & Dani and the rest of the staff for their professionalism, delicious menu, cool vibes, and outstanding service. Looking forward to sharing more great times at Bixi’s❤️“
“This is one of those special brunch spots in Washington Heights we absolutely love. Our team, along with some of my friends and I, have gone here so many times, and we're always so obsessed with the food that I forgot pictures. They always have amazing pizza. Today my friend I went for brunch and it was everything. I think they make the nest pancakes in NYC. If you come here and don't try the pancake, you're missing out. It's delicious. Buttery, crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside. Everyone loves it here. The lentil soup with a side of sourdough bread was perfect, hearty, and fulfilling. The kale salad is my favorite salad. It's delicious. My friend loved her avocado toast with eggs on top. They also made the best cappuccino and Chai lattes. This is a must if you're in the heights from brunch.“
“First, I have to say that this place is amazing!! We love it and the staff/service are great too. We have been going for a long time to buy from the bakery section but to actually sit and eat there, it’s been three times. Food is great, prices are great, and on Fridays and Saturdays they have live entertainment. They only negative is that the third time we went there it was packed and no tables were available. We were told we would receive a text so we sat outside in the car. We then noticed that a group of 3 were seated as soon as they walked in and a couple walked in and were taken to a table right away when we questioned the hostess she said nothing and smiled so I asked again why didn’t we receive a text and why were those people seated before us and she said the table took a few minutes to be ready which still didn’t make sense. We sat outside waiting for almost 15 minutes and others were seated right away. Mistakes happen and so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. We also tried to pay with a $50 Visa gift card and the cashier did not know how to do it so we had to pay with our debit. She claims it was declined but it has $50 and we called from there to prove it. Overall I still gave the restaurant as a whole a 5 because this is the first time today, 1/20/2024, that we had a semi negative experience. I definitely recommend this place.“
“This is a perfect little Italian date night spot! Totally a hidden gem in Morningside Heighs, it’s literally 16 minutes uptown on the 1 train and is serving up very high quality wood fire oven pizza and several legit pasta dishes! ?You can seriously taste the difference of a wood fire oven pizza versus not and their dough is homemade, light and airy. And they even have gluten free options. Dinner at the bar is also an option, their drink menu is kinda wild. Here were some menu highlights:? Columbia Pie: Vodka sauce, mozzarella, grana, double basil pesto? Gemelli: Fresh pasta with shrimp, tomato sauce, burrata, spicy peppers, spinach? Orecchiette: Broccoli rabe and ricotta pesto, sundried tomatoes, pecorino, fried mushrooms? Trick or Treat: Rye whiskey with cinnamon, Campari, honey, and Nardini Amaro“
“Me and my BFF went last night for my half birthday and did HH and made a meal of a bunch of appetizers. It was a Tuesday night so it was pretty quiet, but the bartender was super friendly and made great drinks! Everything we ate was amazing! Looking forward to going back and trying some entrees.“
“Finally decided to try The Barrow House- a beautiful, rustic, huge and clean place. It’s got good, extensive menu, huge bar to hang out with friends, comfortable waiting area , great porch with swings & rocking chairs; and of course , great, attentive staff (shout out to Maris)! Everyone was friendly & attentive. It’s definitely a place I will recommend and take my friends!“
“Came here for dinner on a Saturday night around 8. I recommend calling ahead for a reservation because they do get busy. I had a Paloma from the bar and it was wet good. We had the octopus as an appetizer. Tasty but a little chewy and it could have used a little sauce of some type. Main meal I had vacation frita, Moro, yuca with mojo. All were delicious. I really enjoyed the yuca. The vaca frita was well seasoned and just the right amount of crispy. My boyfriend had the ropa vieja, Moro and tostones. He ate every bit and said it was delicious well seasoned and a nice portion size. Overall this was a great dinner.Parking: Parking in the area is difficult but there is valet“
“This is a great bar for tasty drinks and fun events! I definitely recommend!…. Update 2023. THIS PLACE IS STILL THE BEST!!! Very cool owner and bartenders. The vibe is fun and comfortable. They have days we’re it’s chill and some were its really lit. Celebrated my bday here as well and loved it. Thank you 512“
“We dined at KARDEN for my sister and I’s birthday and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for our special evening. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was flawless, from their attentive service to their excellent recommendations. Each dish was a masterpiece and beautifully crafted. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals to the very last bite. Overall, my birthday celebration was a memorable experience and I highly recommend. Thank you, KARDEN, for making my birthday so special!“
“Unbelievable dining experience. Well thought out menu with complete balance of flavors. Perfect portion sizes leave you feeling satisfied and not over indulged. Dishes are as delicious as they are estheticly pleasing. Staff made thoughtful recommendations and interactions were pleasant and enjoyable.Parking: We parked across the street in a small lot“
“Quaint and FUN. From the moment we opened the doors, we felt we were at a friend's party. Service was friendly and most attentive . Sangria was yummy. Live music nite by Sugar and Spyce. We caught ourselves time traveling. Def a gem n worthy of return visits.“
“Found this place on a whim while waiting for Movies with Lin Manuel Miranda at United Palace. Pleasantly surprised by the delicious tapas- garlic shrimp, goat stuffed peppers, sangria and little seafood burrito- and service. Will be back for more!“
“Delicious, simply delicious. The food and atmosphere are the best. Magnificent place to spend a pleasant time in the company of the family enjoying a magnificent meal. 100% recommendable. The Service from Johnny, Drew and Paul is second to none! I highly recommend it and will definitely return. I suggest Pork Chops, delicious and perfectly cooked.“
“Came for brunch and enjoyed it! Parking was a little difficult but we finally found a spot on the street. I ordered the omelet of the week. I was a little disappointed I couldn't order it with egg whites only, but it was still fantastic and the homefries were super crispy and delicious. My husband ordered the breakfast burger with sweet potato fries. There ended up being an upcharge for sweet potato fries which we weren't told when we were given it as an option for a side but they were fantastic and crispy. We shared the overnight oat parfait which was also delicious. It was very sweet though so I would recommend it as a dessert instead of an app. Overall brunch was super tasty and the portions were large. Our server was very friendly. The vibe was cozy. I'd definitely come back to try other foods and order the sweet potato fries again!“
“This place surprised me brunch is a must here great music live dj great vibes awesome staff good drinks well priced brunch menu and drinks overall this place is solidVegetarian options: Definitely will be happy hereDietary restrictions: Yes they walk you through it all again manager and staff amazingParking: Parking is kind of hard but not really depending on the time for brunch street parking is definitely available in the area and Sundays meters are freeKid-friendliness: Yes and again the staff and management will make them and you feel at homeWheelchair accessibility: Yeah it’s wheelchair accessible and the staff is amazing“
“I had a birthday party there on Saturday night, November 4. 50 of my closest friends and family were there and raved about everything. The food is out of this world. If you haven’t dined there, do yourself a favor and get there as quickly as you can. Danny runs a very welcoming place for people to gather and share stories. JoJo and Ryan behind the bar are so friendly and accommodating and last night the Koverups played, which just was the icing on the cake. Fabulous band! Will go Back. Danny, thank you for everything, best party where the memories will remain with me forever.❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“Mandatory tip of 20% if you spend over $100 with a credit card. They don’t tell you, so a lot of my friends and colleagues were double tipping for over a year - the staff doesn’t say anything. Otherwise, best vibes of any bar, amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing music, amazing ambiance.“
“Nice place. All food is good. Quick service. Really small place, only has about 8 tables. Had 2 strawberry margaritas. 1st one in a highball glass with a very dry lime wedge, decent. The 2nd one was in a short glass with another dry lime wedge that tasted different and not as good as the 1st one. Bad lime season so not the bars fault.Parking: Very small parking lot. Few spots in the street. After hours you can park in the post office parking lot across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: None in the front of building. I don't know about the back.“
“Place is the best. Best Mexican food around for miles. Drinks are fire. Expensive though. But service is great. People are friendly and accommodating. They do karaoke a lot and a lot of talented people come out to sing. Nice wall murals. Parking is street parking as you’re not supposed to use the parking lots across the street. Awesome place overall.“
“I live in the neighborhood and all the restaurants in this street have loud music during the week which imposes a lack of conversation and chilling out when you’re having a drink or an appetizer and a restaurant and restaurants now unfortunately have loud music and it makes you feel stressed and uncomfortable not being able to enjoy yourself having a drink and listening to your thoughts. So I’ve discovered this is a place if you want to chill out atmosphere with great drinks, a great bartender and the music is out of lab where you can actually have a conversation not only with the service staff but with other people next year, so I recommend it’s not only for happy hour during the week and such.“
“Came here on a friends suggestion and it did not disappoint!! It's a small place with a nice bar and some tables to the side. We went early so it was quiet but it was great! They have some local beers which we always love to see small business supporting each other. We settled on some drinks and went over their menu which was impressive. We settled on the eggplant tower special,I ordered pesto salmon, hubby had the clam chowder soup (the size of the bowl was enough for two people) and the lemon sole special with broccoli rabe. There was not one thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was very fresh, not laced with salt and cooked with love. Absolutely delicious!! We were so happy with our choices . I would have given five stars but I have to say it was WAY too cold in there, I had my coat on the entire time so I wasn't really comfortable. I heard the bartender say it was 59 in there. I get the kitchen gets hot but you they need to make sure the customers are comfortable. We honestly would have stayed for one more drink but I have some health issues that get really bad when I'm that cold. I also wish they would have said the eggplant in the tower was breaded . Not that I didn't like it (so tasty) but I am on a diet so i probably would have chosen a salad instead. Place is great and very clean. This will stay on our list if favorite local spots for sure. The prices were very reasonable as well“
“Stop by Thursday night for the first time after work. I was very surprised and impressed from the moment I arrived. Very upscale and elegant place with alot of attention to detail, with a very warm relaxed feeling and a very inviting cozy mood ambience. The service and food was phenomenal and Jorge, the bartender/manager was great, also enhanced my experience, he's very detailed may me and my friend feel very special.I felt like, i was actually in Dubai. If you're looking to escape the stress from the day and week and have great night. I highly recommend Little Dubai It's a five star winner ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The best kept secret in North Jersey N.Y. metropolitan area.“
“Absolutely loved our experience! Cat was ahmazing and was so friendly. Definitely a 10 outta 10 experience and will hopefully come back on our next adventure ! Joseph was absolutely great as well. If you have a chance to take a late night drink here definitely do it!“
“Recently ate at Dulce Patria with my lady & let me tell you the food was amazing both presentation & taste was on point .. we asked for a different table they had no issue accommodating us not to mention the service was also outstanding our server was more than attentive. I truly have nothing bad to say good food , drinks & scenery 10 out 10 will Recommend! Sn: try the chicken teriyaki empanadas ??“
“I've been here twice & each time was fantastic. The drinks ? are awesome ? the food was great the service was spot on. I will make this place my go-to spot. Be sure to make reservations so that way you can have a good spot. The food & drinks quality and quantity is perfect. You get your money's worth.“
“Food was GREAT and the service was absolutely stellar. Love the look of the place, great for date night or night out with friends. We had focaccia, calamari, Franny's house salad, chicken parm, chicken Marsala and flounder. All winners. Drinks outstanding. The olive oil cake was lovely but not like Maialino's which I love. I would definitely return, did not disappoint!“
“Great cocktails. Great selection of alcohols (found one of my favorite rums) and the food is all great. Can't stop thinking about the pizza with peperoncini in it. It was incredible. We went as a group of 4 on Christmas Eve and the bartender, David, was amazing and really helpful. I'll definitely be going back soon when in the neighborhood!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in front if I remember correctly.“
“Love this neighborhood cafe that hits all the boxes! It's a coffee/cafe vibe from 8am to 4pm and then transitions to a night/cocktail vibe. It's a bright, airy, and light space.Laptops are allowed by as of February 2024, laptops are no longer allowed Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 5pm.“
“Went to the dance party on 2.23.2024 with DJ Eddie Wild Worm. The restaurant was full with everyone dancing to Eddie's music. The drinks were large and strong, the food fresh and perfectly cooked, and the service team was attentive and quick.“
