“Great food and quick service. Came here with a hungry group, and our food came pretty quickly and hit the spot! A few of us split a scallion pancake, and it was quite good--flaky/not hard and had some nice layers. It was on the small side but still good for sharing. I tried the knife cut roast pork stir fry noodles and enjoyed the flavor of the meat and the slightly varied textures of the noodles! Very flavorful but not too rich. I enjoyed the veggies that gave a nice texture contrast with the noodles. I also sampled some of the house noodle bowl with the hand pulled noodles, which were also great! The broth was tasty, and there were a lot of varied meats and veggies included. With the solid food, fair prices, and good location, I'd definitely come here again!“
“Emei is one of the few Chinese Restaurants that has several gluten free options. My wife has celiac disease so this is very important and the servers here are knowledgeable and helpful about dietary restrictions. We started with the Cucumber and Garlic salad which is absolutely delicious. Then the main entree was house special fried rice with General Tsao's chicken. That's something nearly impossible to get gluten free. It was very good. The ambiance was fine nothing over-the-top. Special shoutout to Valerie, our server. She understood my wife's celiac seriously. Took her time explaining various menu options, etc. Professional and personable. Overall highly recommended.“
“This was a place we stumbled on by accident, waiting for a concert at Union transfer. Small little place but the food was unique and really good! Service was a little lacking but it was a busy Saturday night. Seems to be a popular spot! Highly recommend if you're in the area!“
“Over all a good experience! The appetizers are probably the best part of the dining experience. The entrees are a little too high price for the quantity of food given. Albeit it is a higher end in terms of establishment I don't feel the elegance dictates portion. The dumplings of all sorts are certainly the highlight along with the robust and bountifully sized sides.Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegy options considering the menu type“
“Really great. I had the Chongqing spicy broth, wagyu, head on prawns, scallops, and lamb as my meats and went crazy in the self serve area. Great quality meats and vegetable selection. Broth was good, service was good. I had to wait for about 1 hour because you cannot make a reservation for a 2 top, but it was well worth it. I left completely satisfied for 40 dollars plus tax, no uncharged. Highly recommended.“
“I love the food here so much! I became a vegetarian during the pandemic because I realized how much environmental damage the meat industry causes and how they have no repercussions for any of the harm they cause. At first, it was hard! There’s few vegetarian restaurants out there, and those that have vegetarian options are normally not that good. Let’s face it. Most veggie-style versions of food aren’t as tasty when you’ve eaten meat your whole life. But let me tell you, this place breaks that stereotype. It was hard learning to cook again since I’ve mostly known how to prepare different meat-based dishes my entire life. (With few exceptions) But this place was truly inspiring in that way. I learned that anything you could want could be made without the use of animal products. It’s life-changing to taste the possibilities that well-seasoned and prepared food can bring. I have taken my family, friends, and coworkers here since 2020, and I will never not love this place. It even holds a special place in my heart for another reason. My husband and I ordered our wedding feast from them and it just added to the magic of that special day. ❤️“
“Great food at amazing prices - well worth your visit. One of my favorite appetizers is crab rangoon. I've tried a bunch of places and this is by far the best. They are full flavored, crispy, and the perfect pull-apart star shape. We tried both the hand drawn noodles in a soup and the shaved noodles in a stir fryThree treasures - amazing! The shrimp was perfectly cooked, plus you can add your own spice level with Sriracha or house made chili paste. It was hard to pick a favorite dish between the two, but luckily they are large portions so I'm bringing home leftovers!“
“I tried the cheesesteak bao buns from Bing Bing this past weekend at the Flavors on the Avenue food festival in East Passyunk. These bao buns were the best thing that my friends and I tried at the festival by far! We unanimously agreed on that :) The filling was very well seasoned and the bao bun itself had the perfecttt texture of soft on the inside w/ a little crunch on the outside. I definitely plan to go to Bing Bing for a full meal to try more items off their menu, and I'll leave a review when I do!“
“came in on a cold rainy day and was welcomed with some warm tea, ordered and all food was served promptly, everything was as expected, only change woukd be to have the pan fried dumplings more thoroughly fried. The ambiance is nice and relaxing.“
“Stopped by here for a late lunch with the family. It was close to our hotel (walking distance). We went during a time when it wasn't busy. We were welcomed by a staff member who seated us right away. Those who took our order and brought out the food were friendly and efficient. Overall, the food was good. The scallion pancakes were a little on the smaller size. The shrimp for the honey walnut dish was not what we had initially expected -- it was breaded, similar to that of Chinese chicken fingers -- but still good. The shrimp lo mein had an added taste which I was trying to identify. It reminded me of pork or some kind of meat -- but again, still good. The place was nice, spacious with high ceilings, and has a huge bar. It reminded me of a bar/lounge back in NYC, but it was a little dim. Overall, it was a decent place to get some Chinese food in the area. Also, I believe they will be moving locations soon.“
“Well well well... why didn't I know about this place sooner?! My mommy treated me out for dinner in celebration of my birthday and we decided to eat family style because duah were family but because we are greedy too haha. Anywho.. I was very impressed by the interior as the restaurant was so cute inside--Very dim, and just a complete vibe. Our server was very patient and helpful with guiding us through the menu items. I had a blueberry lemon drop to start out which was very light, sweet and refreshing--My kind of drink. We ordered the salt and pepper wings and trio seafood, along with the string beans, authentic fried rice, shrimp pad Thai, sui mai and for dessert we tried the egg custard buns. Everything was quick, hot, flavorful and just perfect. I have not stopped thinking about this place since, and surprisingly the star of the show for me was the Egg Custard Buns which I tried for the first time and I was super impressed--They were warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the sweet custard on the inside, and it wasn't heavy either!! 10/10 across the board for me... Thanks Dim Sum House!“
“Located in the heart of Philly, Sampan isn't just a restaurant; it's a happy hour haven where exquisite flavors meet exceptional value. As a used-to-be regular, I had the pleasure of exploring much of their happy hour menu, which boasts an array of dishes that consistently impress, from the kim chee fried rice to the pork bao buns, Kobe sliders, and potstickers. The drink selection is also fantastic, featuring unique cocktails that are both inventive and refreshing (recommend trying the daily cocktails!), each pairing flawlessly with the happy hour dishes. The ambiance of the place, combined with the quality of service and cuisine, makes it the best happy hour in Philadelphia in my opinion. Whether you're winding down from work or kicking off a night on the town, Sampan's happy hour is an unbeatable choice for quality, value, and a guaranteed good time.“
“I'd actually been to Dan Dan years ago, the last time I was in Philly, and decided to come back. Even years later, the noodles were still memorable, but this time I decided to try something else. They had a bunch of options for entrées, but I decided to go with Hot Dry Pot Dish (Chicken), since it came with a bunch of vegetables. I was very pleased with the portion size and the dish was delicious! I actually sat at the bar, since it was just me, but they had plenty of regular tables as well. The vibes were pretty relaxed, but I could see it being more lively on a Friday or Saturday night. I really enjoyed my meal here!“
“Uniquely seasoned food served promptly and pleasantly. Outdoor seating is available in a private booth design that's very 'public' since it's on the sidewalk. The interior design is remincent of authentic Chinese culture with wooden dragons carved in the wall. You can sit at the bar or sit in the main dining area. The culinary delights are streamed, gluten free or lightly fried. The chilli sauce/oil is a nice surprise it's fragrant with a hint of perfume of anise, cardamom and clove, amongst other herbs, all smothered in oils and Sichuan pepper. I highly recommend this spot.“
“Food was incredible, the atmosphere was lively and warm. I felt the service was super, helping me understand the menu and giving me tips with what I should order. This is the best Chinese food I've ever had, hands down. The winter melon tea is delectable btw“
“We got the pork soup dumplings and crab and pork soup dumplings as well as fried rice cake with pork. The soup dumplings are great 10/10. The wrapper was nice and thin but did not rip once. There was a great wrapper to meat ratio and there was plenty of soup in the dumpling. The ratios of all components were perfectly correct and on top of that, it was delicious. Definitely better hot though. It started to be more mid as it cooled but if you eat fast, you'll have a great experience. I also appreciated that the pork only soup dumpling tasted differently from the pork and crab soup dumplings as some places put minimal amounts of crab such that they taste largely the same. Wonderful wonderful experience, would recommend. The fried rice cake was good, a little more chewy than I expected. Essentially ttbeokki with lo mein taste for those wondering. 7/10 Loved this place Note: cash only“

“Ray's is a hidden gem, offering an amazing variety of top-grade coffees and teas. I have been waiting for 20 years to try 100 percent Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee and found my cup waiting for me at Ray's. The staff is kind and welcoming and the tea and coffee cups beautiful. I'm looking forward to returning again and again.“
“Service was great and I had a delicious honey iced green tea. My pork belly ramen was good but not like "whoa this broth" good that you sometimes find. They had a whole bunch of dim sum offerings I didn't try but looked good so a generous 4 stars.“
“This place is a gem . Don’t know why it wasn’t busy as hell when we went there because the service was great, the food was easily the best Chinese I’ve had in the city, and the portions were at least twice the size of any other place I’ve been to. Expect family style and leftovers . Orange chicken , hot and sour soup , scallion ginger shrimp and salt and pepper tofu are all perfected versions of themselves.“
“202404The roasted duck grizzly bear is delicious. The skin of the duck roll is very fragrant. The whole duck roll is super refreshing. The duck soup is very rich and delicious. Other dishes recommend the pork liver and creamy garlic shrimp. The saliva chicken is also good. My travel companions love fermented fermented water spinach ⚠️The golden sand corn is not sweet! ! ! Can not accept! The overall food is quite delicious. But when I got home, I heard that many of the dishes are pre-made and microwaved. I don’t know if this is true or not?Cash discounts!“
“a hidden gem in chinatown. we had juicy tender cuts of roasted duck and bbq pork and a flavorful chicken curry dish. they both came in generous servings. all the dishes were delicious and arrived steaming in a few minutes. service was great. the bathroom was pristine. the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. you also get a pot of oolong tea with your meals. everything was stellar. would def come back for more“
“My friends and I came to Philly for a day trip from MD! As soon as we reached the city, we came to Chuan Kee Skewer for lunch :)The service was really good with the workers greeting us with a smile and wishing us a happy lunar new year. The food also came out really fast!We ordered an assortment of skewers and non-skewer dishes, my favorite being the Taiwanese sausage and chicken wings! I also really loved the eggplant dish too with how soft and runny it is :) All of the food definitely hit the spot after the long travel! I’ll be sure to come back when I’m in the area!“
“Soy milk, steamed buns, tofu curds, and rice dumplings are all authentic and delicious. The boss is very friendly. Go early in the morning when there are fewer people, sit in the shop and eat slowly, with the sun shining on your face, it is very comfortable.“
“It is hot pot buffet. very tasty and fresh. It is a good comibation of BBQ and hotpot. I have ordered BBQ beef, prawns, abalone(鲍鱼)for hot pot.。 I got mushroom, vegitable, beef, clams by myself. There is plenty of great food. I really like the delicous food and service. The waitress is very patient and pleasant. I will definitely dine there again. It is a hidden jem.“
“Great little spot for a quick dine-in or takeout. Good food at good prices. I had the chili oil wontons, which were great, and a lunch special order of chicken pepper and onions. Additionally ordered a lychee jelly green tea which was awesome! All made for a nice lunch.“
“This place is legit. Spicy, but they nail the spice level exactly what I wanted (your mileage may vary). Fast service, nothing special but very polite. The dining room has a college area vibe, stripped down and simple but clean. It's all about really good, fresh, well-executed, spicy Sichuan food. I'm a fan!“
“Amazing roasted duck!!! Not very fatty. The sauce come with the duck is very good too. The dumplings soup was okay, not very juicy but acceptable for me. Fried rice is good too. Highly recommend this place if you want roasted duck !!! Service was good ?“
“Pretty good food, flavorful broth, good variety of meats. Attentive servers. Nice decor and atmosphere. The tray of sauces that stops by your table for 0.2 seconds, was also pretty cool. Though each table should have their own in my opinion.“
“Ordered the beef stewed with noodle soup and the beef and beef ball noodle soup and it was amazing. We got the egg soda and it was also delicious! I should’ve ordered the regular size instead of a large because the portion size was huge. Will definitely come back“
“Overall, really yummy appetizers and noodles - would definitely return! Service was prompt and no-nonsense. Cash only the night we were there, so maybe take some cash just in case! Cute little restaurant, easily accessible in downtown Philly.“
“Prices have gone up at this place and many others so much so that it's hard to eat out anymore. I still love Great Walls food I just can't order from them as much as I use to and as much as I'd like too. I hate this economy right now thanks to Biden. However there food is good. If you can afford to eat out feel lucky because this is now a luxury for some of us.“
“Wow.. this was the first time I've tried this place for take out and it was absolutely amazing. The spicy Thai Shrimp was one of the best! The wonton was so fresh the dumplings melted in my mouth. And the XMas Maki special roll was very fresh and delicious!. This will definitely be my go to place from now on.“
“Love this place! The food is excellent and inexpensive for what you get, the service is great (they treat you like your family or their favorite customer), and to top it all off… they are a byob establishment. No need to pay inflated prices for your poison of choice.“
“This place is a hidden gem. The food came out in less than 5 minutes so consider staggering your order unless you want to feast like a king. It was hands down the best chicken satay I’ve ever had, we had to order a second one after we finished all of the food. Beef Rendeng was fantastic as well. Only thing we ordered that I wouldn’t get again was the spare ribs which were overly fried. Overall this place is fantastic and a BYOB, will be going back very soon.“
“Probably the best Cantonese food you'll find in the center city Philly area. The taste to price ratio is excellently high. The barbecue meats are the best here. If you go, definitely order them at least. Service was fine, don't really care as the food is excellent. Standard restaurant atmosphere nothing noteworthy.“
“This place always delivers fresh hot food to us quickly ! They always critique our food to our liking every time with no mistakes. I can't recall ever having any issues, and we call this place usually at least once a week. I love their bourbon chicken, pork fried rice, general tsao chicken, and teriyaki chicken on a stick are some of our favorites from them. Staff is wonderful and very very polite, delivery drivers are always quick and personally thank you every time for the tip.“
“Just moved here & wasn't sure where to choose. Normally, we look at the reviews. Golden Kitchen was rated the highest. We ordered & now are permanent customers!! Food arrived on time, fresh & hot!! Tonight's meal: Boneless ribs, Wonton soup, fries, 1 of each flavor egg rolls, fried wonton, fried crab stix & they threw in FREE a delicious order of General Tso's Chicken. LOVE GOLDEN KITCHEN!! WHY HAVEN'T YOU TRIED THEM YET!!!! ?? ? ???“
“Didn’t go there ordered from door dash so I can’t rate atmosphere . I added things in the order and I got all the extra things I asked for in the specialInstructions. Most places ignore that or don’t allow you to do that. The food is delicious they package everything so nicely I’ve only ordered two times but this place is my new go to! Give them a try youWon’t be disappointed.“
“A beautiful Chinese restaurant in the Prospect Park area. It’s nicely colored and decorated inside giving it an authentic atmosphere. The food is really good too, very tasty and fresh quality. I tried it for the first time this year and was genuinely pleased.“
“Got Szechuan peppercorn beef noodle soup and fish maw chicken noodle soup. So good. And the price is pretty decent for such a big portion & variety of toppings. Service is basic level. They do have a surcharge for credit card but I’m not super surprised.“
“I hadn’t had salt pepper spare ribs(椒盐排骨)cooked this way for a long time so I was very happy.I am still giving 5 stars because I personally didn’t care too much. But I noticed a small piece of plastic (from a plastic bag or something like that) in the rice. I guess this happens when you have a small kitchen on a truck.“
“Quick cheap tasty and my go to for rainy cold days. Takeout staples like egg foo young and general tso’s are consistently solid. I would say they also have the freshest tasting egg rolls of all the takeout spots in south Philly. The veggies on the inside actually have some texture instead of being defrosted mush. Fried rice has decent wok flavor too surprisingly. Just can’t go wrong as long as you stick to the familiar dishes.“
“China house doesn't miss, I've been coming here for years , and the food is always fresh and delicious. If it's supposed to be crispy , it will be crispy. Some pork dumplings I've had and definitely best in the area . I normally get take out but they're dine-in is great definitely try their sushi as well.“
“Called for delivery..placed my order .the girl told me it would be 45mins..called back cause I wanted to get a menu..I was ordering from the menu online..so I called back and as soon as i hung up..there was a knock on the door..it was them..that's right 5 mins..from the time i called .my food was delivered..don't ask me how,,cause i dont know..the food was great and the price was resonable ..this is the place to order from...?Dietary restrictions: Great selection and good price“
“They say you should never judge a book by its cover, and as an English teacher you'd think I'd respect the old adage, but after living in Point Breeze for 10+ years I finally tried the BEST Chinese takeout in the Breeze, maybe the city. It's the little things: green beans and carrots in the Hot and Sour Soup, nice, fried orange rind in the General Taos, at a takeout joint?! Homemade fried chili flake sauce with the dumplings, word. They're on Grubhub, do it.“
“I live right around the corner so I've been going for a while now. Always quick and cheap. I am so blessed to have this place so close. Cindy is so sweet and they have a bunch of snacks you can get too. My favorite things to get are the sesame chicken w pork fried rice, pizza roll, and the shrimp roll.“
“This was my first time at a Hot Pot. My daughter has been wanting to try it and my friend goes there a lot and she recommended it. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice n patient. It was so much to choose from. The location is peaceful and not far so I will be going often. I recommend to try the soup because you can create anything you want! They just keep bringing things as you ask for it. I will try the other foods I see on this fb page it all looks delicious!“
“There food is always good. I love the shrimp and broccoli rolls. Not to many stores have them. I only knew of one other store that sold them when I was a kid. Thesgore still stands but no shrimp rolls. Hands down one if the best Chinese stores in west phiy“
“I've tried all of the available chinese food options in the gibbstown-paulsboro area and this place is far and above the best of them. The portions are great and the food is always tasty. The prices for all of them were about the same, but this place doesn't charge a really high additional fee for using credit/debit to pay. If you want Chinese food in this area, this is the only place you should go to.“
