“My friend Brenda and I had the most fantastic dinner in a long time we had the crabcakes. They were filled with crab meat and they were so delicious. I had to mashed potatoes with asparagus with it and she had french fries for her mash with asparagus. We both had a glass of wine, some sodas appetizers we had shrimp dip, and peel and eat shrimp. believe me everything was fantastic. The shrimp I had were jumbo size well worth the price some of you will look at some bad reviews, but I’m telling you they really stepped up their game for all that we had it only came to it $129 for the two of us. I’m telling you this place was fantastic. I’ll go there anytime it was nicely decorated the servers were on point and very nice like I said the meal there was delicious and it never disappointed me. Give this place another try or better yet just go there. You’ll see what I’m talking about.“

“Lula is a gracious host with friendly staff and great food. We just had a party of 18 and they just crushed it with the service, the food, and the atmosphere during a very busy night. Highly recommend for your parties or just grabbing a nice dinner before a show.“

“Shout out to Jean D our waiter for the good service! My daughters and I went on our Girls Day Christmas shopping trip and always stop at the Deptford restaurant when we are done. He gave us just the right amount of attention and was very pleasant. Sometimes we feel either rushed or ignored but he made sure we were taken care at our pace. It was a great experience.“

“My daughter and I have been wanting to try the soup flight for a while. Today was the day! We both had the daily lunch soup flight special. We both ordered corned beef sandwiches which were delicious and came with fries, coleslaw, pickle, and the soup flight. For the soup choices I got the cream of potato, split pea, and vegetable beef. My daughter got cream of potato, tomato orzo, and vegetable beef. They were all so good! We can’t wait to go again! Looking forward to coming for dinner and trying the salad bar which also looked delicious. Very friendly service as well!“

“Ambiance and service was great. Very friendly host that shared her favorite dishes. Dining room was cozy and inviting. Friendly service and great, made-in-house desserts. Entrees were pretty good. Carrot sauce was unexpectedly delicious, but didn’t love the lobster raviolis. Linguine and clams were very flavorful. Each clam was larger than a quarter but they were hard to chew. Everything else was great and partner had no complaints. They even gave us complimentary limoncello because it was our first time. I would rate them 4 1/2 stars but it’s not an option.“

There was a plate of small desserts ( 1”square pieces of cake, 2 “ eclairs, a chocolate covered strawberry, and a tiny cannoli. There were not even enough for everyone to take one! When I asked for more the waitress said I should go to another table and see if they had anything! 😡😳 Definitely not worth $10 a person! RIPOFF!“

Honey butter biscuits are pretty good warm and the fries aren’t bad either, a little thicker cut and seasoned. Better still, you can get a lot of food for your money. The comments here are so mean and after reviewing some recent ones… well Covid have happened it doesn’t help that the country itself is filled with mostly ungrateful Americans. The food is still good, there has been some changes but I never had problems with this place. Probably because I am also respectful and you receive what you give I guess. The place can use some upgrades and upkeeping but before you hurt a business, ensure you reflect how you are treating workers. It is hard out here and businesses themselves are just trying to thrive and make it back from Covid years.

“Food was great, hefty portions. Menus online was posted 10+ years ago by customers so they do not align with the menu today. They cannot take down what somebody else has posted so they get lots of backlash with pricing. Other than that, family owned, good people.“
