“I’m certain that most people who drive by this corner / intersection have a hard time understanding why it’s around noon and there’s a line of about 50 people waiting for a food truck to open for business, me included. But take my word for it as soon you take the first bite and your taste buds take a swim in all those authentic Puerto Rican flavors / seasonings you will fully understand and long line. This is food porn at it’s best, both in flavor and presentation. If you’ve been searching for that old school grandma’s kitchen recipe experience you’ve come to the right place. “My wife and I came here for dinner tonight, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were just as impressive, and the atmosphere had such a great vibe.

I had the Caipirinha, and my wife ordered the Passion Fruit Lychee Martini—both were fantastic and made perfectly.

The highlight of our visit was our bartender, Ricardo. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. He took the time to explain the menu, gave great recommendations, and his service really elevated the entire experience.

It’s not often you find a place where the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere all come together this well. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be recommending Guarapo Latin Fusion to our friends and family. Thank you, Ricardo, for making our night such a great one!“

“The food is packed with flavor. The only reason I did not give five stars is because all three of our plates arrived with cold food. That is not true of the alcapurrias which were freshly done and hot straight from the fryer. The table service is a little lacking but that may be because it is set up as more of a take out. Overall I would return.“

“Great food and service. Just moved here in the area and all I want is Spanish good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything’s well done and juicy! (Pause) I recommend boneless chicken, white rice, red beans and salad. In the morning mungu, cheese, salami and eggs or a sandwich.“

There were not a lot of options but enough for breakfast/brunch. I ended up with a smoothie, ginger turmeric shot, and the chai pancakes. These pancakes were not light and fluffy. They were soft and dense and beautifully topped with granola and nuts and bananas and I truly enjoyed every bite! Smoothie was good but the mint was a bit too much for my tastebuds. “Absolutely terrible costumer service, a friend and I went in to get some food and we were asking questions and the workers were giving us attitude and ignoring us. I've also noticed a roach on the pizza, This place needs to be shut down. They should not be in business because of the way they be talking to costumers and being rude and nasty. However, on a Friday evening (7ish) , there was only 1 server for the entire section. It was not crowded. Empty tables in our section.We placed our orders right away with drinks and an appetizer. We waited more than 30 minutes for our drinks and appetizer. Appetizer never arrived, but our main courses (both the same) did. The fried pork chops were overly cooked - dried excessively. They were more like fried pork chunks. Difficult to eat. Knife had a difficult time cutting the meat. Margarita was subpar at best. Management needs to step up. I am a strong supporter of local restaurants, especially Puerto Rican/Latino establishments. This restaurant is an East Harlem icon. Overall: disappointed.“

“I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a little boy. So this place has a special place in my heart. However, the food hasn't changed. It's Just as delicious now, as it was then. As for the service, they have a system that resembles a well oiled machine. They are both courteous and fast. If you’re looking for fancy dining, then you may want to go elsewhere, but if you love good Latin food, then look no further, and if you love seafood soup then please go there on Fridays.“
