Corn was mushy, shrimp was , potatoes were a little hard, eggs were missing most of the white because I guess they couldn't peel it and one egg was not hard boiled . Whiting fish sandwich was not that good. My daughter liked the lobster roll though. Very hot in the restaurant, with flies.“

“After months of hearing Chengdu 23 advertised on 105.5 WDHA, my wife and I decided to try it this evening. we were not disappointed! From the minute we walked in the door, our experience was 100% positive. The service was fast, courteous, and intuitive. The food was sublime. “Great place for dim sum. They have a wide variety of classics (like egg tart, chicken feet, fried pork buns, etc) and non-classics (like clams, shrimp, crab, mango sago, etc). Their prices range from $4.50 for a small dim sum to $12 for “chef” dim sum.

The service is fast. We came during brunch hours on a Sunday and even though there was a lot of people, we were instantly seated. And as soon as we got a table, the dim sum carts swung by right away. The servers can be a bit aggressive in insisting you take certain dishes (by placing them on the table before you’ve agreed to them), but as long as you say no they’ll take them away.

The inside is your typical Chinese dim sum restaurants with round tables and many dim sum carts running around.

The bathroom is clean and large with multiple stalls. It looks relatively new.

We parked in the lot outside and had no trouble finding parking.

There doesn’t seem to be good reception for AT&T here so we had some trouble navigating away after eating here.

I ordered a calamari to go, and the bartender (a super friendly guy) was fantastic. He was incredibly nice and even threw in a huge piece of bread—easily 10 inches long! “Food, ambience and service were all fine. Background music was a bit loud and disruptive at times, at least in the bar/lounge area. Value was good for their bar menu and 30% off on certain things. Though my credit card fee was charged on the gross amount before the discount AND I was taxed on the credit card fee as well. Simply should be taxed on the food and beverage only, otherwise taking advantage of the patron.“
