“We’ve been ordering from Carosello’s since we moved to Runnemede 20 yrs ago. Tonight was the first time ordering a Margherita pizza. It was delicious, I had to write this review. It had a good amount of fresh tomato sauce & cheese, the crust was so crispy, cooked perfectly. Definitely my new favorite.“

“Cool story: There aren’t many people that can say they opened this restaurant. I was one of them. Along with Margarita , Oscar , Daniel, Natalie and Luigi. I specifically remember Luigi promoting a $1999 special For four cheese steaks;(remember this is over 10 years ago. )it was brutal, but I managed to master of the cheesecake technique and under five minutes lol. I also remember prepping all the pizzas in the morning when I tell you, the quality is the best in the area. I mean it. Grande cheese is what he used to use. I hope he still does.Family is what this place is about and amazing Italian food. I always remember Luigi and Natalie. She was an amazing mother to little children at the time -She knew seven languages and he knew quite a few himself lol.

“I ordered catering for our kitten rescue’s volunteer gathering for the wrong day and when I realized my mistake, I only had 30 minutes before the event started. I called the store in a panic! Primos rushed to get our order together in record time and I was at the event with our food only 20 minutes late. I couldn’t believe how kind they were. The food was delicious, and staff is so friendly!“

“my fiance and I were in Philly (from Maine) and she treated me to Osteria for my birthday dinner. The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!“

“I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and we had a great experience. The ambience was nice, the staff was friendly, our waitress was attentive and the food was good. The manager Timothy Fisher stopped by our table twice to check on us and as we were on our way out, he ran up the stairs to hand us my girlfriend's purse which was left at our table. “The good food here is really good. The Ponza was perfect and seasoned well. My husband had the crab ravioli with pesto sauce. I'm not even a fan of pesto but this was amazing. My baby who hardly eats anything, cleared a plate of spaghetti. The only issue I had was there isn't a changing table in the restrooms. The staff was nice enough to find a room I could change my baby in but just an FYI if you have little ones.“

“This place is great! Service was great and our server/the staff was so attentive. Food was delicious, the family style is perfect in terms of serving sizes! We got the tuna crudo and squash arancini for starters. Then we got the mushroom tortellini, penne ala vodka, and the chitarra with meatballs. Dessert we had like a white chocolate pudding, and an apple pastry. Everything was delicious - our only complaints are that the mushroom pasta was slightly over salted, the peas in the penne felt a bit too hard and undercooked, and the desserts were a bit too sweet for my taste. Our favorites were the tuna, chitarra, and arancini. I recommend making a reservation but we walked in and sat at the chefs table (first come first serve) and it was so much fun watching them make our meal (shoutout to the chefs working tonight)! Note: I cant speak on regular serving sizes and their affordability/value since we only got family style.“

“My family had dinner at Albertinos today for my mom and husbands birthday. Because there was 9 of us they require a fix price meal for each person. This price includes an app, main, and dessert - anything on the menu. The service here is outstanding. The food is better than anywhere else in town, and for me- the best Italian I have ever had. Dinner for 9 of us took about three hours. To me, this is amazing. There was no rush. They made sure everything was perfect. We were able to relax and enjoy our time. We have been there two other times and have had the same waitress. The daughter of the owner (Jsut another plus). She is bubbly and kind and makes sure everyone has a great time. “Thank heavens for Colonial Beach Local Foodie’s referral. Meet a gentleman at Thousand Trails resort just outside of Colonial Beach Va. that had a thick Upstate NY accent. We preceded to reminisce about family in Upstate NY,, of course food rolled into the conversation,. That’s how I came across Nonna Lena’s Italian Cuisine. I stopped by the restaurant by myself a couple of later.. Thought I’d get a quick lunch fix. Wrong! My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I the chief my plate of Eggplant Parmesan. What a wonderful freshly made dinner (plus leftovers for 2 extra meals). The staff all were very friendly. Chiefly came out to see how I liked my meal. He shared some details about the newly open restaurant & homemade recipes, etc. He mentioned breakfast was also served and somehow in the conversation he decided to send me home with a sample of sausages & gravy along with my husbands meal. OMGoodness, the next day my breakfast was fantastic. Foodie’s note. Their food is prepared fresh from scratch daily😊. Don’t past by Colonial Beach Va. without dinning at Nonna Lena’s Italian several times.“

My family was at home in Memphis making raviolas that same day my daughter and I were in Philadelphia. It was our first visit to your beautiful city.
