“I ordered catering for our kitten rescue’s volunteer gathering for the wrong day and when I realized my mistake, I only had 30 minutes before the event started. I called the store in a panic! Primos rushed to get our order together in record time and I was at the event with our food only 20 minutes late. I couldn’t believe how kind they were. “Our first time at Bistro Romano and won't be our last. Romantic, quiet and dark with a piano playing softly in the distance. Service is great and food is delicious, especially the Caesar salad. Lobster ravioli was lightly sauced, with plenty of lobster and tender pasta. My partner ordered the strip steak, which he said was ok but I thought it was pretty good. Warm olives, a first for me, was good but more than I could eat by myself. I'd like to try other options on the menu but Caesar salad will be on repeat.“

Now live in Key West for last 30 years but specifically make sure each time I come up to see family I go to Villa Di Roma, clams casino, asparagus, gravy and the people there that run it all family. Amazing piece of the food history of the Italian market that is a must try anytime.“

“We had our son’s rehearsal dinner here, everything was great . We Had Taylor , who did everything, she was by herself, due to someone calling out . She severed over 30 people from Appetizers to dessert all with a smile . She helped set everything up and was amazing . Great food and atmosphere! “Thank heavens for Colonial Beach Local Foodie’s referral. Meet a gentleman at Thousand Trails resort just outside of Colonial Beach Va. that had a thick Upstate NY accent. We preceded to reminisce about family in Upstate NY,, of course food rolled into the conversation,. That’s how I came across Nonna Lena’s Italian Cuisine. I stopped by the restaurant by myself a couple of later.. Thought I’d get a quick lunch fix. Wrong! My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I the chief my plate of Eggplant Parmesan. What a wonderful freshly made dinner (plus leftovers for 2 extra meals). The staff all were very friendly. Chiefly came out to see how I liked my meal. He shared some details about the newly open restaurant & homemade recipes, etc. He mentioned breakfast was also served and somehow in the conversation he decided to send me home with a sample of sausages & gravy along with my husbands meal. OMGoodness, the next day my breakfast was fantastic. Foodie’s note. Their food is prepared fresh from scratch daily😊. Don’t past by Colonial Beach Va. without dinning at Nonna Lena’s Italian several times.“

i’ve been here numerous times with different parties and i’ve always had a great experience. it’s also one of the few restaurants I can consistently get in with a last-minute reservation or walk-in while still feeling the place is lively and bumping every time I’m there. it’s a delicate balance and they nail it consistently. chef Michael’s food is excellent, bev director Michael has put together an awesome program and chef Ervis is such a handsome and gentle man who also happens to make great pastas. what a combo.

“I’m a SJ native and have been going to Scotto with my girlfriend for about 5 years. It is hands down the best pizza around. We will drive well out of our way to get it. It’s a travesty that all of these “best pizza” lists don’t choose it as it should be better known. Look at the reviews.

If you want brick oven pizza or a fancy sit down, yes that is not here. But Scotto is the place to get the best pizza.“
