“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay, try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. Thanks for the rendition “ congratulations “ for our 40th. You are great ! A little gem of authenticity in big New York !“

“Absolutely amazing meal! Was recommended to us by a friend, and we recommend it to you. A quick walk from our Broadway show, the meal was a perfect night cap. The mango margaritas were the perfect combo of sweet and spice; the cauliflower appetizer was bold and perfectly crunchy; the aloo gobi was wonderfully catered to our spice level and still full of flavor; the flaan was to die for. Resturant manager Rakesh Arban did an awesome job taking care of us. The atmosphere included colorful decor, mellow ambiance, and easy to talk to one another despite a somewhat full resturant.
There are stairs down to the entrance door. There are two single stall restrooms. The price was very reasonable given it's location and portion sizes.“

“Amazing food. Loved the service given by the people around there. I really didn't expect to get such a good service at such an hour I;e 11:30am in the morning, that too on a weekday( Tuesday). The ambiance was neat and good. Highly recommend the lollipop dry and the goat dum Biryani that was suggested by the person over there. Perfect in flavours. Highly recommended for people who just loves food and flavours.“

“Rudra Indian Bistro on Cedar Lane is authentic as it gets. We have been here so many times and will always keep coming back because the food is high quality, healthy, and very delicious. We always start with the House Salad which is a great way to begin your meal. The Tandoori chicken is so juicy and succulent, and the Lamb Korma is one of our favorites. I highly recommend Rudra Indian Bistro! One of the best restaurants of Teaneck...“

“Amazing Food. Excellent staff. So kind and mindful of our requests. We went with our baby and one of the staff gave my little kiddo Valentine’s flower. She kept dancing all the time.
We ordered Shrimp in main course but we thought it was not a main course dish to eat with rice so gave us extra gravy of butter chicken. We also ordered Paneer Khurchan which is very unique and delicious. Didn’t say No to anything we asked.
To top it all, they gave us delectable rasmalai desert with chocolate strawberry. So delicious.
We all enjoyed our valentine’s dinner.“

“Small, hole-in-the-wall Indian spot tucked away in Cliffside Park that you could easily pass a hundred times without noticing. I decided to give it a try because of the solid Google ratings, and I wasn’t disappointed. The order was prepared quickly and overall the food was pretty good.
The tandoori chicken cubes were very tender, though they could’ve used a little something extra to really take them over the top. Still enjoyable. The lentil soup was very good and stood out.
The menu has a fair amount of options, prices are baseline for the area, and the place was clean. Definitely worth checking out if you’re nearby.“

“Rudraks on the upper west side is a wonderful Indian restaurant. The food is fresh, delicious unique but familiar. The restaurant is cozy and people seem to really enjoy their time… having nice conversations. I have seen groups of families, couples and also individuals going to have a reasonably priced lunchtime meal Today. We had delicious lunchtime meal for $15 which included an entrée bread, rice, lentils, and dessert. You really can’t be that price and the food is really delicious not oily not greasy and the service is super kind and they make you feel like a very special customer. Thanks very much for such an enjoyable experience.“

“This is the only restaurant in NJ which serves food like home taste. I had Masala dosa, poori with aloo subji and sooji ka halwa, and I can say that I lived my life today eating this yummy food, which is not easy to get outside home. Good bless the owner, the cook and people working here. Special mention to Sushma who served the food with care and Rahul ji for great conversation. Thanks a lot.“

“First time I had Indian food was a few years ago in NC, and I was NOT impressed. We were up visiting my sister in Ridgewood and we went out for fathers day dinner at Tabla. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers and entrees and we shared them all. I was absolutely impressed. I totally enjoyed EVERY item. I especially liked the curry fish with coconut milk. The service was exceptional and very friendly, it was an entirely enjoyable experience. I heartily recommend this Indian Restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ.“

“Angaar has a really impressive atmosphere that sets the right mood for an Indian dining experience — warm, richly decorated, and inviting from the moment you walk in. The setting does a great job of transporting you and building anticipation for the meal. The food and service, however, both land in average territory and don't quite live up to the promise of the beautiful space. With more bold, authentic flavors in the kitchen and more attentive service, Angaar could be a truly exceptional Indian restaurant.“

“If you're looking for an Instagram-worthy dinner spot, this is it. The decor is stunning—there’s a massive flowering tree in the middle of the room and the lighting is perfect. We went on a night when they had a live violinist playing Bollywood-meets-Top-40, which made the evening feel like a celebration. Even the mocktails are sophisticated; the Anarkali was refreshing and not too sweet. Perfect for a date night or a fun birthday dinner. Definitely make a reservation, as it gets packed“

“This place was great, if you look at my profile it may see like I only leave good reviews but it’s because I usually only review if the place stood out and this place is one of them. Such a fun a delicious new twist on Indian food. The quality and quantity of the food was great for the price and their homemade mango lassi is delicious. Also got to speak with the owner briefly and he was very friendly. If you are craving Indian but want to try something a little different I would definitely check this place out“

“Overall, a 10/10 experience! Truly a gem to find after a long day at the museum and brisk walk through Central Park.
The food here was amazing! The vegetable samosas, chicken saag, and the chicken tikka masala with the garlic naan was the perfect combination. I really enjoyed the samosa sauces and the spices in each of the chicken dish… the garlic naan was also some of the best I’ve had.
The owner was so welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!“

“Always outstanding service and willing to get my Tika masala just the right level of spicy for me. Not a beer fan but their 1947 and Taj Mahal are both super. We eat here about 4x a year and have never had a bad meal. They were even kind enough to divide our shared ice cream in three for us. Also, the portions are deceptive. Usually we end up bringing some home but if you are really hungry you might be able we to finish everything. Dishes come with rice but we always order 1-2 orders if regular or garlic naan. It's a small place but I've made reservations for 8 before. They are very accommodating.“

“Got there at 7pm, put our orders in at around 715-720, we got 2/7 of our things we ordered at 730. The rest of the food got to our table around 810ish (according to iPhone photo time stamps). I know the people next to us were also waiting for a second, but dont get me wrong, the food was amazing. Maybe it was just one chef working, but the food was absolutely amazing. A bit of wait, but all is good with good company.“

“Manhattan Valley is an absolute gem for Indian cuisine right in the heart of Manhattan. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot whether you’re dining casually or celebrating something special.
The food is the real star here. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor, perfectly spiced, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. From the rich, creamy curries to the fresh naan and aromatic rice, everything tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell a lot of care goes into each plate.
The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help with recommendations. Despite being in the middle of NYC, the experience felt personal and unrushed, which is hard to find.
If you’re looking for top-tier Indian cuisine in Manhattan, Manhattan Valley is a must-visit. This place delivers on flavor, quality, and hospitality, and it’s definitely somewhere I’ll be returning to again and again.“
