“I usually go to Dosa and Biryani House for their idlis, vadas, dosas and biryanis. They're all fantastic, however, today I'm reviewing a meal via take-out (UberEats).

In my pictures, you can see all of the following highly recommendable dishes:

- Samosa Chat
- Butter Chicken
- Goa Fish Curry
- Goat Bhuna
- Aloo Paratha
- Butter Naan
- lime pickles and raita

All of them were neatly packed up and delicious. A take-out order from Dosa and Biryani House is just as good as eating in. I definitely recommend visiting for an authentic Indian meal!“

I found Saar online, it was less than a block from our hotel so we figured we'd give them a try. So glad we did. Nice place. Great, friendly service (Karim is the man!), and excellent food. “Small place but serves great food! Loved the biryani. Authentic dum, unlike the pilaw versions sold in most Indian places. We tried the goat biryani, chicken curry (Dum ka Murgh), and nan. “This is some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The service wait time isn't long at all and the food is phenomenal. Also the man who served us was a very pleasant man. He was quick to respond to request and attentive. The price is also so affordable in my opinion in light of today's economy.

The atmosphere is cozy. Will definitely be back a third time! The music is pleasant the seating is comfortable. The decor is comfy too.

Ive had vegetarian and seafood here, both are delcious.

“Went at 7:30 on a Wednesday. Place was empty, which made us a little nervous. We got the “sit them in the window so it looks like we have customers” seat.

If you’re after UK or New Zealand–style curry, this isn’t it. But give it a chance—it’s still good. Nothing was amazing, but everything was nice. The naan was warm, and the flavors were solid. The papadums were soft, which isn’t great—they should be crispy—but that was the only real miss.

The setting was nice, the service was nice, and honestly, for Hell’s Kitchen just off Times Square, the price was very reasonable.

They even gave us a free dessert—gulab jamun, those syrupy donut balls—which was a nice touch.

Nothing blew us away, but we had a lovely time and I’d definitely come back.“

“I remember when this location was actually a cuban sandwich joint, then a pizza place that had nice pizza, then it became Spicy Bytes, my girlfriend and I were always so curious about this place but due to the odd weekday hours we never were able to tell if they were open. It was one day a week or two ago that I was walking around with my girlfriend where she suggested we try this place out since we noticed it was opened! Upon entering a young woman welcomed us warmly and showed us the menu, and took a seat. We ordered a Butter Chicken Curry to share and two orders of garlic naan bread, and got the curry at a medium spice level since my girlfriend can't handle spicy stuff at all, and she ADORED IT!

Upon taking her first bite of the butter chicken my girlfriends eyes lit up and widened, it was also her first time trying Indian food so I could tell she was very much hooked. We enjoyed our meal and were asked by the young lady if we needed anything else through out our meal, which I really appreciated. After eating we were both very satisfied and definitely plan on coming back for more. I am surprised they haven't done much with the interior since the last place since it still very much feels like the previous pizza place, but it honestly didn't bother me as this places food is something you should not miss :)“

We had the hey Siri, how do you spell Mulligatawny Soup (I guess I’ll leave that in to show my poor spelling skills…), Paneer Makhani, Lamb Tikka Masala, the okra and a fish dish and lots of Naan ALL DELICIOUS!! “I live 1 block away & get to enjoy Indian Tanpura's food whenever I want! Pictured are the vegetable samosas (2 per order), Saag Paneer, garlic naan & aloo paratha, and Chicken Kashmir.

Every time we order we get the samosa: absolutely excellent with the sauces & garlic. Saag Paneer is a standout too, that's part of most of our orders. We've tried almost all of the curried dishes, and others like Rogan Josh, lamb moglai and have enjoyed them all. Proceed with caution on the vindaloo, one of the spiciest I've had!

The staff is warm & welcoming, vibe inside is calm & classic. Highly recommend!“

“Random walk-in to try their lunch buffet on a Sat afternoon got us here. Old skool Indian restaurant; dated interiors, old bar that still serves Indian classic cocktails, and a buffet that surprisingly manages to justify its $21 price tag (half-priced for kids under 6).

Poonam, our hostess got us seated and we went straight to grabbing our food, Their buffet selection was limited, but felt perfect. Snacks included Samosa's and Chicken Pakoras with a tasty green chutney, and mains focused on dependable classics like Aloo Gobi, Saag Paneer, and a rather bland Dal Makhni. They had one Indo-Chinese mains - Fish Chilly, and non-veg mains included Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, Chicken Kali-Mirch. They also had Biryani Rice and Choley Bhature, but the Bhatura's were very thick and disappointing.

They served naan and rotis on the table and the staff was friendly. Restaurant had a good amount of foot traffic throughout our stay! Will definitely be our local go-to-Indian restaurant in the neighborhood!“

“This restaurant has been on me and my girlfriend’s list for a long time. We haven’t had the chance to even get out. We Both are city workers and are constantly on duty And never have the time to eat out but yesterday on Friday we had a chance to go out and we randomly walked up (while running from the rain) the street to this Lovely restaurant. I will say we were sat right away and as soon as I looked at the menu, I could tell that it was gonna be a good one. Had a lot experience with Indian cuisine and let me tell you that this spot did not disappoint not only was the garlic naan amazing but instead of getting one order samosas we got two orders, and they were honestly one of the best I have had in the city. Chose a simple Pannar dish And that was amazing too. I got my butter chicken, and it was one of the best that I have ever tasted. I will say that I will be going back….actually I will say we will be going back Sometime soon!!!
