“Walked in without a reservation and were quickly seated despite the restaurant being very busy. Staff were super friendly and kind. Food was AMAZING. Like absolutely knocked it out of the park. The bread was warm and soft and delicious, serviced with a sun-dried tomato compound butter. The fried calamari was excellent, the lemon sauce thing amazing and the tomato thing also amazing. The winter salad was delicious. We got the caramelized onion cacio y Pepe, the shrimp bolo, and the truffle gnocchi. All were outstanding. The gnocchi were light as air and the sauce was divine. For dessert, the chocolate tort, carrot cake, and tiramisu were all decadent and perfect. We were truly impressed with how absolutely delicious everything was. Will definitely be back!“

“Coming here for years. Some food items have gone down in quality, namely the pork chop and mac and cheese. Pork chop used to be really cooked to perfection and moist, however lately it has been dried out and overcooked. Mac and cheese lost the amount of cheese it usually has on it, and noodles were undercooked the previous two times. Must have changed the cooks in kitchen, who knows.“

“I’m in the area for just one night and needed to figure out where I could get a quick dinner. I saw Sophie’s Bistro and after getting a recommendation from a colleague, I made a reservation. It’s a really casual place; not pretentious in any way, but the bartender was both talented and conversational and made something off menu to enjoy. For dinner, I decided on French Onion Soup and Steak Frites and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Besides this, the bread service they bake in house is amazing and I learned about the owner and how he treats his people and that made me even happier that I came in. I wish we had a place like this where I live; I would be there all the time. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but next time I’m near Somerset, I know where I’ll do dinner. “Recently new owners have taken over, and so far so good! We have been going to this liquor store and the bar for a few years now. The bar is a hidden gem! It has a great selection of craft beer, wine, and cocktails. The food is incredible with big portions and reasonably priced. Service is always good! Recently Sara was our bartender and she was great! Hopefully the new owners won’t make too many changes to the bar and food, because they definitely have a good thing going here!“

“Great food and service. The steak, salmon, appetizers, sides and dessert were delicious. They made it extra special too, rose petals and all, for our anniversary. The server and chef obliged my request for no salt. Two, not one but two managers checked in on us. We had a really memorable dining experience. We'll be back!“
