“I recently had two cakes made by Kaela's Kakes. One was for my son's engagement and the other for my mother's surprise 90th birthday party. I shared my vision for the cakes. Kaela's designs went beyond our expectations! Not only were the cakes beautiful, they were absolutely delicious. Kaela was great to work with. “Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. Everything was super clean, and we were greeted right away by the super friendly employee. My daughter ordered a cappuccino and I got iced coffee. We also got a cheese and pesto savory pastry and a passion fruit and coconut tres leches dessert. Everything was delicious!!!!! Thanks for the enjoyable experience. We will definitely return.“

There was no line and I quickly received my to-go order. The ham, egg, and cheese croissant was delicious- fluffy and flaky, not at all greasy, and the perfect cheese pull. Can't wait to return to try desserts and coffee!“

He puts a lot of effort into his food and he’s the only one working there.Bagel was fresh as in he just made it in front of me and put it out. Doughnut tasted homemade and was soooo good.This is a must try. It is a one owner shop though. No employees from what I could tell. I mention because of possible wait time. It is a mom and pop shop. “I just took a cooking class on how to make mozzarella cheese, and it was a nice experience. There was snacks to munch on and bring your own wine, as well. Everything they put out for us to eat were products they make fresh at the shop. Ten times better than a Hostess cupcake. Better than Dunkin. $2.50 as of 09-2024. Really really good. Best sweet of the year here! Atmosphere is not fancy. One table with 2 chairs. Service is good, owner speaks English and Spanish. Spanish and American style sweets. The flan is very good also.“
