“Phenomenal. I can’t get over how sweet the lady who attended us was. This is the first restaurant I’ve been to where i felt as if the food was truly made with love. The food itself was absolutely delicious, and the price was very reasonable. My friend and I ordered the fried chicken, tteokbokki, and bulgogi kimbap. The portions were perfect, we finished ALL of it (and licked our fingers clean). Their plates are also so cute if I may add. I will definitely bring all of my friends here when they visit Teaneck.“

“If you have a taste, for some great home cooking, make your way to Maggie's! A small family run joint, where the food is made with soul and love! The meatloaf, yams and greens, are crave worthy and the cabbage, mac n cheese and ribs will make you wish you bought more! I have eaten Soul Food, from way South to NYC, in homes and restaurants and Maggie's rates up there with some of the most delicious, I've had. As they say down South, "they put their feet in that food"!!!“

“We were recommended this place by my wife's cousin she said the stew peas were A class. She was right, according to my wife, it's the best she's had in a long while from a restaurant. I had the sweet and spicy wings that were seasoned and cooked very well. Food was not salty and was very fresh.
Ps we also had Patties, veg, and beef, and they were great, but I think they are golden crust patties, so that's to be expected.“

“Plnt Burger is absolutely amazing my new favorite place to eat. There chicken sandwich and nuggets reminded me so much like chick fila. Everything tasted very clean and so fresh. Quality of the food is 10/10 and they have a good variety of sauces all are delicious. I highly recommend.“

Both the steak frites and the shrimp and cheesy grits were heavenly and I always get the mac and cheese to start. Great for a nice date or a solo weeknight dinner.“

Har gow / shrimp siu mai - 3/5, hard to get wrong, just didn’t love it, even with the soy sauce.

BBQ pork bun - 1/5, wasn’t my thing

“Great addition to the neighborhood. Perfect for a date night. Delicious and inventive food and cocktails. The cocktails are soju based. We came for the a la carte menu and the standout dishes for us were the longgonisa, the momo, the trout, and number one was the pork belly. The rice it comes with is insanely good; I think you can order just the rice as a side. Get the rice and thank me later. Will definitely be returning for the tasting menu“

“I am vegetarian and love to get the scallion and ginger stir fry with seitan. You can order it light/med/high spice level to your preference. The noodles are so tasty and you can really tell they are fresh. The mango tea is an awesome lightly sweetened beverage addition to balance the spice of the noodles.“

Wheelchair accessibility: The access to the restroom is down a flight of stairs, but I observed a sign at the top of the stairwell highlighting the effort to be made by the staff to see all peoples of all abilities can be assisted to the restroom.“

“My friends and I went to the restaurant on a Wednesday rainy day I had the cinnamon raisin french toast with chicken and the fried shrimp it was very good the french toast is amazing. We also had the bottom less mimosas when I tell you they never let the glass hit the bottom. The service was excellent very positive and comfortable environment we sat for a while. we ate talked and danced and the staff continued to accommodate us beyond our reservation time limit. I will definitely visit Chocolat' again when in New York“

“Freakin’ Vegan is freakin’ awesome! We love the wide selection of comfort food items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (They have a Thanksgiving menu too.) We’ve had the burgers, mac n’ cheese, subs, chickpea toona, empanadas, chili - all delicious! Kurt and company are super nice people and do great work helping Halfway Home Animal Rescue. So thankful for this place.“

“Delicious food and very nice service from Rebecca. I had a party of 6, with some vegetarians, and someone who had to eat something gentle on the stomach. We sat at the bar and our server, Rebecca, was super nice, attentive, bilingual (which was helpful for our group), and gave great food recommendations.

I ordered the braised short rib 5/5 would order again in a heartbeat, especially for the price. Comes with brasato sauce a lemon vinaigrette, perfect for cutting the richness. Some of our party ordered veggie burgers, others ordered chicken noodle soup. I also ordered a mocha.

After looking at many places on Columbus that just didn’t thrill us, we were SO happy to find the incredibly delicious Mexican cuisine at Nina’s last night I had the Cochinita Pibil (with an orange habanero salsa on the side that will let you know who’s boss…) and my old friend had Enchiladas Mole with chicken. Excellent and authentic food with warm, friendly staff, and a great bar selection with many tequilas. Nina’s is great! Reasonable too! Glad to give credit where it’s due to this 7mo old establishment that I hope stays for many years! Will return for more!“

“Came on a Friday evening. The food and service were good. The DJ was spinning good R&B. The restaurant is small and a little unorganized when it comes to waiting for a table. I get that it's a neighborhood spot, and everyone knows each other, but if it's a restaurant, treat it like one. If it's a lounge, change it to a lounge and not a restaurant.“

“The popcorn soft serve is actually so good. I thought at first it was going to taste like pure butter, they’re is actually a nice balance of butter, salt, and a flavor that can only be described as butterscotch I suppose. They also stack this ice cream super high, so for the price you really get your money’s worth. I also got the bag of biscuits. They were buttery and tasted really homemade. I honestly ate the whole bag in a day because they were so good. The butter they came with was also really good. I can’t wait to come back here so I can try more!“

So much so that I’ve told my friends, “NYC does every type of cuisine well EXCEPT BBQ” I respectfully retract that statement after having AU Jus’ SUPERB pulled pork sandwich this evening. I’m going to have to join a 12 step program to stop myself from eating it every day. So good it’ll make your tongue slap your brains out.“

“This was our first time going to Joanne; we were celebrating my husband's birthday and decided to check out the Sunday night Drag Bingo experience. We arrived and were greeted by a sweet hostess who allowed us to pick our table and we settled in quickly. We started with the bruschetta and were so happy with all the toppings piled high and loaded with flavor. We then had a delicious Caesar salad before moving on to our entrees - the seafood risotto and meat lasagna in a vodka sauce. Both of these dishes were exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant filled up as the Bingo got underway (run by the charming Lyra), and everyone in the dining room shared the space in a lovely way that felt as if you were at a friend's home for game night. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time and the food and service made the whole experience so special. We could not have been more happy with the night and will definitely be looking forward to going back again for one of the fun themed nights and terrific food. Joanne is a hidden gem on the UWS and we highly recommend you make plans to go very soon.“
