“The decor at Victors Cafe was absolutely stunning! I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful and classy it felt, with a wonderful tropical vibe. Our waiter was truly phenomenal, constantly checking in on us and being incredibly attentive. And the food and desserts were simply amazing. I highly recommend paying a visit to Victors Cafe for an all-around fantastic experience!“

“Good food and superb service as always. I had shrimp empananas, which were quite tasty; salmon with mango sauce, which was utterly delicious; and empanadas. My husband had arroz con pollo, which is a huge dish. Both of our main courses were served with rice and beans. For dessert, we had churros, which were excellent. My only complaint is that the coffee is too strong for me. Personal preference, perhaps.“

“I ate at this restaurant during my Christmas vacation visit to New York. It is fantastic! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is so tasty. It was better than the big advertised restaurants. If you want a real delicious meal and some great music while you eat, go to this place. It's a hidden gem.“

“I came across this Cuban fusion restaurant. The interior design with the lighting is absolutely gorgeous. Low key reminds me of clubbing. It was packed when I went but my server was super attentive and always taking care of me. I ordered the crispy wings with sesame garlic and it was bomb! The flavor was on point and the meat is super tender yet juicy! Next, I also ordered black rice seafood paella because I love black rice and it does have a kick to it. So if you don’t like spicy I dont recommend but the flavor is a spicy and sour. I never eaten any Cuban so it wasn’t my favorite but the clams calamari and shrimp were fresh! It was a bit salty and I think they recently changed a new chef but my server was so nice and immediately ask
if I wanted to order something else which I did. I ordered the mushroom noodles and the mushroom were super tender and each strand of the noodles were covered with sauce! It’s a simple dish but it reminds me of home. And to finish that I ordered dessert. I was a bit indecisive with either mango sorbet or tres leches but I chose tres leche. The sweetness is definitely suitable for me. It’s not tooo sweet for me but the cake itself is on the dry part. I am definitely coming back for their happy hours menu! I saw the $2 oyster and their mango sorbet!“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Came in for lunch after a very busy morning at work, and, if I'm being honest, with a minor hangover. Everything about this place fixed me right up. I felt like I went to lunch at my tia's. The ropa veja I got tasted exactly like the one I grew up eating. Comfort food and comforting vibes.“

“This was my first visit here. (I previously have had delivery on a couple of occasions and the food was very good.) Despite being a little early for our reservations and the place being very busy, we were seated immediately at the outdoor table I had requested in the reservations. The cocktails didn't take that long to be brought and were very good. The fried calamari appetizer (tapas) was outstanding- each piece perfectly crispy and not one piece was chewy. The sweet chili sauce worked very well with a mild heat in the middle of the tongue surrounded by sweetness. My wife enjoyed the jamon croquettas despite it lacking any sort of aioli or dipping sauce. My main dish of the deep fried Red Snapper was perfectly crisp on the outside, moist and tender inside and all around tasty. My wife enjoyed her fired cheese mofongo. Dessert of guava cheesecake and also the flan were good as well. Overall, service was good and the maitre d' walks around checking in on guests which is a nice touch. Overall, I thought the prices were very reasonable and you get nice size portions making it a good value. Just be aware that inside is fairly large and can get loud. Their windows are thick and outside you only really hear it when the door opens. Considering we live across the street and stare at the place from our windows, we'll be back, likely often.“

“I went to Kuba for the first time and absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was lively, with great live music, delicious food, and an all-around fun vibe. Our bartender, Brian, really made the experience enjoyable with his great service. I would definitely come back!“

“Small corner store w some seating. Their Cuban sandwich is fantastic, especially with sausage. Love the steak sandwich as well super simple but everything just works so well together to create a great sandwich. By the way their coffee is excellent as well“

“Hace poco hice un pedido para un evento social familiar por un valor de $540 pero decidí pagar con mi tarjeta de crédito, obviamente me cobran el impuesto tax 6.625% de venta, sin embargo, tuvieron el descaro de cobrarme un 2.9% adicional por el uso de la tarjeta de crédito. “Owner is so sweet and workers are attentive even when busy. I am happy to say they take their time with their food, and provide excellent service. I did not mind waiting because scenery and weather was great as they provide seating in front the place.

My favorite spot“

“This place is one of the best places to have a healthy lunch in West New York. I am amazed that it doesn't have any review yet. I tried fish and also lunch specials twice out three times being there, I recommend fish and cow tail. A nice girl works there having very helpful attitude toward customers (unfortunately I don't remember her name but you will find her at lunch). You might have a little bit of problem communicating in english, but all of the times that I had lunch there, they prepared exactly what I meant. A meal size was more than enough for me and I am not skinny, unhealthy or anything. Did I mention the price? it is worth every penny.“

“I found this place through instagram and went in person had the sweet chilli wings and two empanadas, amazing! Loved it. Not a fan of the yuca fries they were a bit on the dry side but its always a hit or miss when it comes to Yuca / Yuca fries. The atmosphere was amazing, super clean place seems like a small family business loved seeing that. Truly recommend.“

“I was a seeking a more elevated Chinese food experience. My last few fast food Chinese fast food experiences at other locations were scary. I believe I got exactly what I was looking for. The chicken pepper, onion, w/black bean sauce was skillfully prepared with good quality chicken and not the typical freeze dried trash, and the dish was savory and delicious. The wonton soup was also notable and I enjoyed the thin delicate tasty wontons. Even the rice was clearly higher quality. The modestly higher price was absolutely worth it to me for the quality of this Chinese food and I look forward to returning..“

“This is a local Chinese/Peruvian food restaurant that gives new meaning to Chinese food! This fusion of flavors is amazing! I’ve had the steak with tostones, their chicharrón de pollo & many other delectable dishes. They also have a nice bar & make excellent Pisco sours which I can’t find in too many places! I live in Rockland County & the hubby & I take the trip about monthly just to eat here! Nothing fancy about the restaurant but definitely good eats! Highly recommend! “At the barista's recommendation, I ordered the mini picada and it was so good! My brother got a steak salad as well, so we were sharing the whole time. Anyway I had to pry into my memory to remember my limited Spanish speaking skills, but it really goes to show that food transcends barriers!“
