The restaurant was a theater back in the very old days. On the wall is a huge, fabulous picture of Edith Piaf singing there. It is relatively small yet intimate. The staff, to a person, was impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a Monday night so there weren't a lot of people there. Therefore we almost felt like we were at a private dinner. We were there some 2 1/2 hours and no one pressured us to leave. It was first-rate!“

“Great spot for a cozy pre theater dinner. It’s the entire brownstone so there’s more seating upstairs. Made reservations for 5:30 and the food came quickly and was delicious. José, was our amazing server, took care of us and made great recommendations. Lamb croquettes and skirt steaks were our favorites. We even had time for José favorite dessert which was the dark cheesecake with dulce de leche..mmm, worth it.“

Holy Schlitz! This is the best pastrami I've ever tasted including Katz's, Carnegie Deli (70s-90s), & Harold's of Raritan (80s-2010s)! If you've not gone, GO!!! I won't steer you wrong. It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95. Tax is 6.625%. I paid cash but they do take cc. Just GO!“

The price tag matches it, but coming to establishments such as these, it is kind of to be expected. As for the food, the Canadian bacon was very juicy and flavorful, the heart of lettuce salad was divine and light. The apple and bleu cheese complement the salad perfectly. The steaks come out on sizzling hot plates. I got the porterhouse for two with my partner, and we could barely finished half. They are quite hefty pieces. But cooked to perfect medium rare as we asked with a nice char on the outside. Loved this place and it was a great experience.“

He did a GREAT job handling everything but another server up there might have been nicer. The food was really tasty. I just wish it would have come out hotter, it was warm enough to eat upon being served. I personally don't mind having my meal cool a little in front of me. Andres our server was terrific. They also gave my friend a small birthday cheesecake on the house with a candle in it! My friend loved that! Ruth Chris really takes the time to make it's patrons feel special. It's all part of the experience. They truly know how to create experiences. My servers were also all wonderful, they were diligent and thoughtful. The representative from Caymus Vineyards was so knowledgeable and friendly. She even gave my friend a lil present.
