“I go to Henry’s everyday for my ice coffee which I love ❤️ their food is great! They make a great breakfast, whether it’s a Taylor ham, egg and cheese or a breakfast platter. Their sandwiches are great for lunch, especially their cheesesteak with everything on it ? it’s a must try.“

“Omg this place is AMAZING! Definitely a new North Arlington favorite! The gentleman that makes everything are so friendly. They also accommodate you if you want to switch something for your dish. This is the second time I've been here and had the linguine garlic pasta ( they make it homemade too). The first time I only had it with shrimp. The second time I added grilled chicken and shrimp. I am obsessed!

Great atmosphere, owners, and service. Every time I come back I want to try something different but I stick with the pasta. It's my favorite!

I had the gluten free calamari and that was fantastic as well. The breading was seasoned well and it wasn't rubbery. That a must to try as well!.

My boyfriend had the grilled chicken, rice, and broccoli and everything was seasoned wonderful.

“I won’t lie, I took my partner here as a surprise after he got into the car and I had the very Kitchen Nightmare episode this restaurant was featured in. You know, the episode with Bobby the gangsta executive chef who was making $100,000?

It was a great episode, but the owners looked like very good people. Even though it’s been a couple years, I discovered Bask46 was not only still open, but thriving.

We didn’t get to set at Gordon’s booth, but we were right next to it. The service and food were fantastic!

My partner got the tacos, which he loved (the portions look bigger than what Gordon has suggested). I had the 46 burger. The first half tasted bland, but it seems because all the flavor was just on the other side — and when I hit that, I loved it.

The potato skins appetizer was OK, but still we had a great experience.

It was a Sunday night so we didn’t expect to see the owners, but we still had a great time, and it looked like things were running smoothly.

Fun experience, and who knows, maybe we’ll trek back again. Bask46 is one of the rare Ramsay success stories, and it truly is a success.“

Had oyster (east and west coast) appetizer and octopus with delicious garbanzo beans in a really tasty sauce!! Then had a NY strip and skirt steak... both cooked perfectly for medium rare. Had a side of creamed spinach which could've been cooked a little more...and very creamy. Next time I think I will get oil and garlic spinach instead..just a preference. Shout out to our waitress, Danielle,...very attentive and gave us a piece of cake on the house to take home and celebrate our anniversary...Also invited us to the speakeasy...but c'mon it's only MONDAY??? Saw.some people enjoying mac and cheese as an appetizer...looked good, but that would have been too much for us!! No starches ordered, but they looked good.“

“Went for a school trip for the seniors. Was also my first time going to this place. I heard so many things about the experience so I was ready to see how it was. Was pouring rain outside. Building looked nice and the staff were mostly friendly. Manager I spoke to regarding a seat was awesome and patient. Atmosphere was comforting and fun. The show was much quicker than we all expected. Only real gripe I had was the food offering. Not sure if it had changed over the years from what others told me, but for the price of tickets, I would think a bit more should be offered.

“This place is so clean. You wouldn't expect it when you first walk in, but there's no dust balls or cobwebs or anything on the antiques on the walls. So impressive. The staff and owners are so polite and professional, I feel like I could do a full page review on them alone. Our waitress Lisa was a pure delight. A breath of fresh air. If you enter through the bar you get to have a "Goodfellas" moment as you pass through the kitchen to the dining room and get to greet the chef. Finally, the food. It was awesome. I had the steak cooked medium and it came cooked medium..."WHAT!!".... I KNOW, who does that anymore. Cooking a steak to the temp you want it. Innovative. Oh, yeah, my wife had some did too that she thought was delicious. Anyway, it's a cash only restaurant so stop at the ATM before you head there for dinner. Go soon, you won't regret it.“

A Must-Visit Gem—Years of Great Memories and Consistency

I’ve been coming to Tops Diner since 2011, back when it was still in the old building. Over the years, it’s grown and evolved, but the heart of what makes it special has always remained the same. Tonight, I returned again with my family to celebrate a birthday dinner and once again, it did not disappoint.

Right from the moment we walked in, I felt that familiar buzz of energy. Tops Diner is always alive and moving, yet warm and inviting. It truly earns its title as the No. 1 diner in New Jersey.

As usual, I ordered Cuban coffee—a personal favorite. Being part Cuban myself, I appreciate the richness and quality of it here. It’s something I treat myself to every time I visit. And of course, I couldn’t pass up my go-to dish: the Pasta Bolognese. This meal has become a tradition for me—comforting, flavorful and always perfectly prepared.

What stood out this visit was the beautiful presentation of all the dishes. My relatives ordered a mix of different entrees and I took a moment to really admire the design and artistry that went into each plate. As someone who appreciates the small details—especially from a diner—this matters. It’s rare and refreshing to see a place care this much about aesthetics without losing the generous, down-to-earth portions diners are known for.

The bathrooms were spotless, which I always take as a reflection of a place’s deeper standards. The wait staff was professional, respectful and very present. Not once did I see anyone on their phones or distracted—every staff member was alert, attentive and working with each other to keep things flowing smoothly. That kind of team energy is rare and deserves serious credit.

Now, I always give honest feedback and my only very minor critique was that I noticed the manager (who was incredibly sweet and attentive, I must say) had his shirt untucked and pants riding a little low, which felt slightly unprofessional for a place of such high standard. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall excellence of the evening—just something to note as a small room-for-improvement detail.

The appetizers were delicious, the energy was vibrant and as always, the food spoke for itself. Tops Diner is one of those must-visit spots—not just for locals, but for anyone coming in from out of state. It’s absolutely on my list of “Hot Spots” to hit when I’m back in NJ.

There may not have been birthday singing (which was totally fine by us!), but there was a shared sense of joy, celebration and satisfaction from every table around us.

With that, I stand by this review with pride: a full 5 stars. The service, food, environment and consistency through the years continue to earn it.

“I have never been an Applebees person but I went there with my granddaughter and found that the food menu is better than it used to be. I had the shrimp and sausage with penne pasta. SO GOOD…
The drinks are still a bit “weak” but they were good tasting. The service was good too considering that our waiter had a whole section to work by himself.
Overall, I enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. I will be returning again.“

“Very small and cozy place. I am new to Lynhurst. I order from there when we first moved. Very delicious and packed with flavor. I have tried other diners and this one is the best so far. “A big, delicious mess. That is what I expect when I order BBQ style items off a menu and that's what I received! I stopped by for lunch and ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich. It was much larger than I expected and I did my best to finish it but did not fully succeed. The meat was overflowing and the sauce got everywhere.

The sides were decent. I loved the slaw but the fries could have used a little salt.

I am in town for a few more days and will definitely be back to try the ribs and some happy hour specials.“

“So after being in New Jersey and going to about 8 bagel shops, I guess this is the one. So... I pull up and the first thing you will notice, parking is an issue. Luckily, people are coming and going so it took around 5 minutes to attain a parking spot. From the look of things, there may have been a parking lot in front of thee establishment before but it would seem that they decided to fill the parking lot with outdoor seating. From speaking to a patron, I understand because he told me that he always walks to the place. So on a nice day, I suppose the outdoor seating is great. You go inside and it's a small space and they have a few tables and chairs inside as well.

Inside and I'm in a line. Probably about 8 people ahead of me. I'm already thinking that these bagels must be damn good. Took about 10 minutes until I put my order in. In total I spent about 25 minutes at this spot. As I'm leaving, there are more people in line than when I got there. Just from seeing the bagels, they look soft and fresh. Just happy to have found the place. I get home and the bagels are just as good as they look. This clean bagel shop comes highly recommended and will be back! Great job guys!“
