“I went in tonight a little after closing and the guys were cleaning up. I asked if they wer3 closed and was told yes. When I asked if anyplace else sold lobster roll Will politely said he didnt know of any place. And was kind enough to make is 2 lobster rolls after closing. Delicious and generous portions. Thanks Will. We had a long day and this was the perfect ending after getting everyone settled in for the night.“

“Always love the Lobster House, been going for years. Ate at the Raw Bar. Had the grilled swordfish with lemon butter, side of fries and corn on the cob. Fish was cooked perfectly and the corn was nicely cooked, not mushy.

Was a rainy day after Labor Day so was slow, but still loved eating on the deck looking at the water and boats.“

I have to say im a bit of a critic because we have family in Maine and have tasted all ends of the spectrum of lobster rolls from amazing to terrible and this place makes a great Lobster rolls with a spot on price comparable to Maine and other restaurants in the area. The staff member we dealt with was super nice I wish I would have got his name, but I do know he was from Jersey and had great knowledge knew the product well. We had 2 Connecticut rolls and they were great. I would say this place is worth checking out. Theres only outdoor seating, but you can easily walk around waterside and find a spot to kick back and enjoy or walk out enjoy their outdoor seating and it will complement their lobster rolls very well. They also have nice little selection of beers/beverages and a whole N/A fridge too.“

“We threw a joint 60th/30th birthday bash at The Bellevue Tavern in their private room, and it was an absolute blast! The private room was gorgeous — big surround windows giving us tons of natural light, a dance floor, and tables that worked perfectly for groups from 4 to 10.
The staff crushed it, super attentive servers and a bartender who kept everyone happy… our signature cocktails were premade and ready to roll — no waiting in line!! The food was amazing, plentiful and delicious- especially the crab cakes. Plus, we got to bring in our own DJ and dance all night (though they would’ve piped in music if we wanted).
Special shout-out to Dennis, the owner, and his son, they were fantastic from the time of booking straight through to the very end of the party. They (along with the servers) constantly checked in during the night, totally hands-on and making sure everything ran smoothly, but never in an intrusive way. Our guests are still raving about it. If you’re looking for a spot to celebrate, this is the place. Bellevue Tavern nailed it!“

“Very good crab cake and fish n chips! I get these entrees often and was very impressed. The fries were mediocre tho considering curleys and chickies are nearby. But we were not there for fries! My husband got the Caesar salad that used homemade type croutons, real shredded parm, and a good creamy dressing!! We will def be back!“

“My husband and I have been visiting Cape May for years now, and we cannot understand how we waited this long to stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for dinner. We spent a few weeks in the area this year and had meals at the Oyster Bay Bar three times!! From our first visit, we felt so incredibly welcomed beginning with a nice chat with the hostess as we waited for our table. Just from that brief chat during our first visit, the same hostess greeted me by my name on our 2nd visit. I’m embarrassed to say that I cannot remember her name, but I will say that she was incredibly lovely and personable. Our server, Bobby, who took care of us on both our first and last visits, had a wonderful personality, sharing some tidbits with us of the history of the restaurant and with being local to the area, answered some of our questions about the holiday season in Cape May. Now, about the food…with each visit we tried something new and found each meal to be delicious and satisfying. Our favorite appetizer, which we had on all three visits, was the charbroiled oysters. Absolutely delightful!! The mix of the Parmesan cheese in the garlic butter….so very good!! My husband and I always like to do something special on our last night of vacation…and you guessed it, the Oyster Bay Bar was our choice for dinner! The lovely hostess greeted us once again and mentioned to the owner, Gary, that this was our third visit and that we chose this restaurant as our last dinner on vacation. Gary stopped by our table, after sending a complementary round of drinks to us, and spent time speaking with us. Knowing we were tossing the idea of a return visit during the holidays, he gave us his personal cell phone number to reach out to him for not only restaurant reservations but also if we had any other questions regarding the holiday visit. Never before, have I encountered such genuine kindness and graciousness in a visit to a restaurant establishment. I cannot stress to all who take the time to read this review that you most definitely must stop in the Oyster Bay Bar & Restaurant for a meal. You will not be disappointed. “Fresh and interesting menu. Everything we had was perfect. Smoked salmon and noodle aps were both great starters to share. Scallops, crab cakes, swordfish entrees were delicious. The desserts were lovely and generous portions. Not surprised to hear that this is a perennial favorite for many regulars.“

“The food is decent but this location is all about where you are seated. Previously we were under the blue awning adjacent to Two Mile Landing and it was awesome. This time we were seated back by the bar in the middle of the deck. Tables were packed tight and people on top of you . Probably the worst outdoor seating area in the entire place. Highly recommend you be specific on where you want to sit instead of just selecting outdoor area as this was awful.“

“Not sure why this place has a 3.9 rating - we had a wonderful time! Our server, Agnieszka, was great. Oysters were solid. Branzino was superb. Shrimp bruschetta was perfectly balanced with a lot of flavor. Our 2.5 year old daughter was treated great, and thoroughly enjoyed her hot dog and french fries. The Malbec was good, as was the St. Germain Spritz. It was a bit pricy but that’s to be expected for the location. Would go again!“

“We absolutely adore this place! The decor is top-notch, creating a romantic ambiance. The service is excellent, and the food, though not extensive in its selections, is all delicious. I ordered the roast chicken, and my husband opted for the Wagyu burger. Both dishes were tender and juicy, exactly as we had hoped. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I highly recommend it.

By the way, if you do get there early, the outdoor porch is a great spot to sit and enjoy your wait time in style, and don’t let me forget to mention this place is BYOB.“

“I absolutely recommend Peter Shields Inn for a wedding venue. We had a small wedding on the beach and our wedding dinner was handled by Peter Shields. We worked with Amy (their event coordinator) and she was so helpful in every way. She went above and beyond to make everything so easy for us. I literally handed them a box of our wedding decorations and the tables and everything was set up perfectly! I didn’t have to lift a finger. Their bartender served up our signature drinks with a smile. Our guitarist serenaded guests on the porch while they enjoyed cocktails and wonderful hors doeurves. Dinner was seriously some of the best food I’ve ever had. Perfection hands down!“

“This spot is very underrated! There was a bit of a wait even with a reservation for the indoor tables. The outdoor is first come first serve. The waitstaff inside was extremely nice even with us having little kids there! The food was incredible! The seafood risotto and the seafood penne vodka were both great!“

Our first Experience and 2nd we had the pleasure of having “Niki” and truly we could not ask for better service than she offered,her tone,her understanding and the way she treated my toddler is immeasurable and the small details that were paid attention to were not found in other establishments we tried. I hope she knows how valued and appreciated she is by our family! We stopped in for one last meal before heading back to MD and we were cared for. A waitress I don’t re call a name but long curly hair,and a smile that lit up a room and was welcoming,her table side manner was fantastic she joked with us and also treated my daughter remarkably well where again other establishments frowned upon her questions or acted as she wasn’t talking. Furthermore,Noticing the whole atmosphere was a fantastic vibe, Everyone was smiling and working as a team. Can’t wait to return !“
