“When I visited on Saturday, I was told that only the bar counter seats were available, but when I went to the bar counter, the seats were occupied and I had to wait for one to become available.I waited for about 5 minutes, but there was no one available, so I made a reservation for the following Monday and went to another restaurant that day. When I visited on Monday at 17:00, both the bar counter and the inside of the restaurant were relatively empty.Depending on the day and time, you may be able to enter without a reservation, but we recommend making a reservation. The meat was cooked very well and was very delicious (◠‿◠)I'm glad I made a reservation and came back! !If I have a chance to come to New York again, I would definitely like to come again.“

“I had such a wonderful experience at Royale. First it has an awesome bar and restaurant indoors and the space outdoors is beautifully decorated. I have celiac disease and they had the most delicious gluten free nachos (made on site) ever! They were perfect. I was so happy I could have them and they were excellent! Great atmosphere and food! Highly recommend when in the Village.“

“They have a big selection of beers to pick from and I’m glad we stopped by for drinks. The decorations are more on the simpler side, but there’s several tables and chairs. For people who don’t like bitter beers, I’d recommend their half moon mosaic dream ipa or espresso martinis. We will definitely come back to try more drinks and have more of their espresso martinis. They also have a two drink minimum for credit cards. You can keep an open tab for the night and pay before you leave.“

“One of the best dive bars in NYC. Would recommend stopping if you're in TriBeCa or Chinatown - Whiskey, beer or another libation! Super atmosphere and relaxed vibe. Don't hesitate to grab a table in the mezzanine overlooking the bar. The eats ain't so bad too!“

“Didn't eat. Killed two hours here rather easily. Immediately had two open spots at the bar but we were lucky in our timing, this place can get full fast. Never had to wait for a new drink, bartenders were on top of everything. It's a local stop in Jersey City, though, so be prepared for the accent and the attitude. If you're not from Hudson County, it might seem a little rough, but this is a great spot. Lean into it.Parking: If you don't parallel park then go to a mall, you don't belong here.“

“I came here the Friday before St. Patrick's day and was not disappointed. They had live music on a small stage with a large crowd singing along to Irish folk tunes. The atmosphere was lively and reminded me a lot of Dublin pubs. The service was a bit slow, as there were too many patrons and too few bartenders. If they could improve that ratio, this place would be a fantastic place.“

“Went to attend a Bitcoin related talk on a Thursday night. Wish the bar had more cocktail/mock-tail options, but seems like 90% were men, so can’t expect too much.Nice open space at the back of the bar, they host events almost everyday and sometimes a few events a night.Very convenient location, easy to find, food and drinks are good, everyone’s friendly too!“

“We went into the Shannon Rose on a thursday were they had a deal on select craft beers. This thursday me and my husband tried the fat baby orange kittens because of its funny name and were pleasantly surprised on how good it was! Our server Edgar was impressive with his service and attentiveness , really pleasant to be around.“

“Overall rating: 4.9This place is underrated. Love the low key, chill energy in LES. No frills, which is my middle name. The drinks are STRONG, in the best possible way. I didn’t experience any karaoke, but I think I was there too early in the night. Went around 8 on a Saturday.Definitely want to go again if I’m looking for a nightcap or just a chill place in the area.“

“I’ve been visiting Pete’s Tavern on and off for 10+ years now. I even lived just down the street on 18th and 1st for a bit and visited even more frequently at that time. So, it is safe to say, this review comes with a nostalgia bias.I’m surprised I hadn’t left a review before but maybe it was on an old account or something. Regardless, here are some details from my most recent visit in 2024.We started with a glass of the house ale! It tastes lighter than it looks. I’m not a fan of dark heavy beers so this hit the spot for me.On this particular visit we skipped the appetizers, however, I’ve had their Baked Truffle Mac & Cheese and Homemade Veal Meatballs fairly recently and enjoyed them! For dinner, our group had the Gnocchi Spinach Pesto, Chicken Parmigiana, and Three BBQ Brisket Sliders. All were great! Gnocchi was great for any vegetarians in your group. The Chicken Parm was a big dish and I probably should have had leftovers but I was starving.Lastly, I love the updated bathrooms! Although I appreciate the older bar bathrooms sometimes, it was nice to have an easy and clean bathroom experience.I hope you enjoy as much as I do should you visit!“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants on the Upper West Side. Many great menu items, but my favorite is their chicken pot pie (see pic). I also often order the bruschetta - it’s always prepared perfectly. The ambiance of an Irish pub is full of character. The food, the drinks, and the service here is consistently excellent.“

“This is a real Irish bar. Not in the sense of taped up paper leprechauns or a tinsel HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY banner, but rather campaign photos of John and Robert Kennedy, as well as other candidates for office going back more than 100 years. It's one of the oldest bars in New York City, and decorated with historical markers, play tickets, political posters and buttons, as well as a painting of a naked lady! Your choices for drinks are light ale or dark ale. They make good sandwiches, too.“

“I went here for the first time on Saturday at 1pm and it was, unexpectedly, one of the best bars I've been to so far in NYC! Rudy is the main contributing factor to my review; he was amazing! We ordered the Totchos (tater tot nachos) which were delicious and had drinks flowing. Nikki, another bartender, arrived before we left and she was also so wonderful. The vibes were amazing - a lot of 20 somethings there to watch sports games. We ended up staying way longer than intended and I'm planning to come back here frequently!“

“I have visited Mudville a few times but last night ( April 10, 2024) when I went, I realized they have changed the menu for the third time in a year. Food: The Mudville burger always comes out a bit pink even when you stress to them the importance of a well done burger. On the last menu it came with fries. Now you're paying $18 for just the burger. The buffalo wings also has a new sauce which my friend who orders the wings often did not like. Don't order a double shot of tequila because it comes out like a single shot and you're still being charged for a double. Service: The earlier you go the better. Yesterday was the first time I have ever seen so much staff there. It was about 5 of them... very nice and attentive. I have been there late night and you can usually find either 2 workers or just the bartender trying to handle the bar and seating area. Ambiance: The shelving and decor around the booth seating is very dusty. They need to do more detailed cleaning.“

“The Grafton is an Irish restaurant so I visited it on St. Patrick's Day weekend. The food was decent. My friend found the fish and chips to be a bit greasy but the fries were great. There are tables outside with individual TVs so you can watch sports games with friends.“

“We had a wonderful dining experience here this past Saturday evening. The atmosphere of this old Irish sports pub was lively and friendly, without being overwhelming. We sat at one of the many tables surrounding the bar. The service was prompt and friendly. The beer and wine were great and the burgers, fries, salad, and salmon were delicious and the portions very generous. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering its location a block and a half south of Central Park. We were just tourists but would come back often if we lived here.“

“Great Bar, you have to go! We stayed for 5 nights in the New Yorker and ended up back in the Tailor Bar most nights. Great food, great beers but most importantly amazing Staff - Jack, Connor and the lovely Girl from Brooklyn (Sorry I can't remember her name) took the time to write out some really great Food recommendations. It's always busy but worth it. Oh and they show the Premier League matches and just about every other Sporting events on TV. Just go.“

“Quite literally stumbled on this bar years ago, and always felt at home in this underground bar nestled in such a busy part of the city. The craft beers available are well curated, and the atmosphere makes it easy to chat with people and the bartenders. Great date night spot to end the night.“

“Good local bar. I wouldn't travel far to come here, but my friend lives down the block on 40th and this is my favorite spot in the area. Good prices, got just what you need. People are always cool around here. Saw a fight once outside. Pool tables you can play. Bathroom is far away downstairs. I come here whenever I'm in the neighborhood!“

“The perfect pub if you are in the desperate need of a quick pint. It's the definition of "fast drink" instead of "fast food" because sadly this place is lacking of food or at least snacks but I think it's the concept of this place to only serve drinks and I have to say they are doing that on the best level.“

“Amazing Irish spot. 1) The place is very cozy. It is a warm cozy spot on a rainy day. They also have couches, which is very nice. But, getting the couches is tough. There is always someone stilling there. Also, near some seats are changing stations, which is really nice if your phone charge is running low. 2) I will highly recommend the pasties, it is meat filled pastry with gravy. Unbelievable! 3) Their Shepard's Pie was great. But, ask for their gravy on the side. It makes the Shepard's pie go from a 7/10 to a solid 9/10“

“I hosted my fiancé's 30th birthday party at Slattery's and I'm so glad I did! The whole team was easy to work with and very accommodating. The private room upstairs is spacious with plenty of seating. The staff was super friendly and service was great throughout the entire night. We were also able to play our own music which is a big plus for us. I would definitely recommend hosting an event here!“
“Fun little venue. I went to a show where it wasn't packed, although I've heard it can get very crowded. I liked that I could get up close to the stage and see someone perform who I'd also seen at a very large venue in Philly. I didn't get to try their food, but liked that you can also get food there. There seemed to be ample parking where you didn't have to worry about competing with residents to find a spot. If you're looking for something gimmicky, you won't find that here. Just down a down to earth place where it's the performer who is the draw and who keeps your attention.“
“I have been going to one bar or another for over 50 (!) years, but my search for the best bar has ended. Deacon Brodie's is small, dark, beautifully decorated, and employs the three best bartenders I have yet to encounter (particularly Chris). While you can't get food here, you can get expertly mixed cocktails using the finest quality garnishments and an ever changing choice of beer. Two freshly refurbished bathrooms as well. A terrific place to hang out.“

“Belgian Cafe with big pig portions, at least for frites. Pretty awesome! I had the Eggs Norvegienne with home fries. Tasty! They even serve poutine, which I will someday try. They serve mussels in a big pot! Lots of dark wood and mirrors with twinkly ceiling lights. French posters on the walls. European football screens everywhere, but they weren't loud at all.“

“Had the paper plane cocktail and the crispy fish tacos. Pretty standard, but I have a bias for fish tacos, so standard fish tacos are 4 ⭐ by default in my book. Minor knock is that the slaw, mayo, and relish together were a little strong and kind of overwhelmed the fish. Why is it so dark? I get it, but I also don't get it ? low light has its merits, but this was super dark ? (the camera make the photos/videos look brighter than the lighting in reality)“

“Haven't been here in a while but the experience was pleasant as the last time I was here. Food was great and I must say the corn cheese here was the best I have had. It's more spacious than you would think and they have a basement level available as well. Service was pretty good overall but things can get loud and hectic with the music and crowd, which may impact Service being as attentive. All in all the waitresses and waiters we interacted were ?. They have expanded parking spot and I was glad I didn't have to valet this time around. My one complaint is that the basement seats weren't too comfy for my old back and there was a but of weird smell. Overall a very pleasant spot, and I would def recommend.“

“Pioneers is a staple in the city where you can go and catch the game or play some giant board games. While they only have giant jenga and connect four, they also have 1 pool table and a basketball machine. The drinks are fairly priced for something near both MSG and FIT, so be sure to stop in.“
“I love this place. I spent a couple nights over NFL Wildcard weekend this year watching the games. “Cozy, dark (love a dark bar!), very reasonable Happy Hour prices. $9 house red, $4.50 one braised pork slider with smoked coleslaw (they let you buy ONE!). Just the right snack before hitting the subway home. Nice service. Was greeted by the manager as I walked in. Admittedly, he and a coworker were setting up the front picnic tables, but he still took a moment to smile and say hello. The little things matter. Music is upbeat and changes quickly, so if you don't love one song the next may be your cuppa tea.The people next to me are having some kind of whiskey cocktail that comes with a lid bearing smoke ... smells devine.Come here after visiting Wall Street and Century21!“

“I went for the all you can pour $25 happy hour. That’s an amazing deal! I wasn’t sure if it was for real, but it is! Very happy with that. The beer is all mid-range (basically all had ratings in the 3’s in Untappd). So you aren’t going to get any truly premium craft beers, but mid level microbrews like harpoon, fiddlehead and Sierra Nevada. The variety is good though a fair amount of redundant beer (similar pilsners, similar IPAs). But where else can I try 21 different beers (no exaggeration!) for $25? Never gonna happen again. But didn’t have a single one that made me think ”that was a GREAT beer” (granted, if they had premium craft beers they couldn’t sell them at this happy hour price). Also, wings were good but not exceptional.“
