“First, I need to preface this was a Thanksgiving dinner. It is almost always the case that holiday dinners (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve etc) there is a usual penalty the diner takes in quality and elevated price. It is not a criticism of Empire Steak House, just how things work in the industry to set the context.\n\nWith that stated and considered, the overall meal was better than I expected. My only real criticism regarding the food was the pumpkin soup was a little thin. \n\nWe each had filet mignon. They were well prepared and of good quantity and quality. Staff were accommodating and friendly. We even received a little complimentary port after dessert, which was a nice gesture. \n\nWe had the set Thanksgiving menu which gave you multiple choices for starter, principal plate, and dessert. We had the pumpkin soup and calamari to start (see prior comments on the soup. The fried calamari was fine). We both found the vegetables well prepared that went with our steaks. For dessert, the pumpkin pie was tasty and well portioned along with the sorbet.\n\nIn addition to the above food, we had three glasses of wine. The total price with tax and 20% tip was $365. All in all this was a good value. We may return. Even though we generally don't go out for steak very often, this may be a safer bet in the theater district since the ingredients at Empire Steak House seem to be of good quality and charming service.“

“Visited on Wednesday night to celebrate mine and my husbands wedding that day and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by lovely friendly staff. We were seated quickly and were introduced to our server. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was fantastic. We opted for the Korean bacon to start and we both had the butchers feast. Outstanding. The steak was beautiful and the dishes that came with it were amazing too. The short rib and egg soufflé were my favourite. “The entire staff was super accommodating for my Husband's Birthday! Though we made reservations, we didn't realize we needed to specify “lounge” to hear the amazing in-house band. They offered to seat us at a smaller table immediately or wait wait an hour for another table. Hubby chose to be seated immediately, but we soon learned, it would be too small for the Birthday feast to be ordered. In an effort to make my husband's birthday wish come true “have a delicious meal and listen to jazz music” we played musical chairs before being seating at the best seat in the house...next to the band. “We ordered the porterhouse. Perfect for two people. The meat melts in your mouth and fries are perfect! The steak came out so fast, we thought they’d made a mistake.
Chocolate soufflé was so light and fluffy and not overly sweet.

“The steak was great ,I ordered the newyork strip. But the sides were bad,the asparagus was under cooked , and the the potatoes were way over cooked and hard to eat. The staff handled our complaints fairly well. The language barrier seemed to be interfering, they seemed to have a hard time responding to the complaints“

“Gui Steakhouse – NYC Times Square is not your usual steakhouse. they have korean twist to some of their menu. their attention to details is top tier. 
we went for a birthday celebration and our menu has “happy birthday” on it 🫶🏻 they actually paid attention to your resy request.

what we tried:
🥩 caviar a5 wagyu katsu sandwich ($58)—it fits the definition of a perfect bite. the soft bread with crunchy breadcrumb, followed by melt in the mouth wagyu with pieces of caviar.
🥩 prime rib ($79)—this is the softest and wholesome bite of the night. a mist order here. i prefer dipping rather than soaking the sauce over the rib. the meat itself is really good.
🥩 wagyu kimchi fried rice ($32)—they add the smokey feeling to this one, which perfectly elevates the usual fried rice. it is a great intervention of asian taste during the meaty session.
🍹 espresso martini ($23)—my fav drink to order and it did not disappoint 🫶🏻

the vibe is more like higher end restaurant. but the server makes you feel like home. it is perfect for couples or even big groups. save this for your next special occasion or just to satisfy your meat craving ✨“

“Our first time as we are visiting from out of town. Our server Cesar was so wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. This was a great choice for our 10th wedding anniversary. We’re so glad we found it. Highly recommend!!!!!!“

“I ordered for dinner the ribeye steak and onion rings. Cooked medium, the steak was flavorful; I did not need any sauce at all. The place was clean and the staff attentive (it was a Wednesday night).The bill, surprisingly, did not include gratuity or tip. You pay either by card (small charge additional) or cash. The "downsides" are: no parking lot for diners as you park on the sides of the Avenue. There is also no alcohol (wine, beer or cocktails) served. I will bring my family here and recommend to friends.“

“We celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary at Sparks. This may be the best steak restaurant in the world, much less NYC. The ambiance is amazing. Dinner was outstanding. We ordered the filet (medium) and medallions (medium rare) with a side of creamed spinach and cheese cake for desert. Our waiter, Juan, has been with the restaurant 32 years.
