I am so surprised that I haven’t been to Mandara’s before considering that I have been frequenting the Essex County area for the past four years. Decided to go for dinner tonight and we can’t wait to come back!

Highlights:
You HAVE to try the pizza, one of the best margherita pizza’s in this area and the chicken marsala was phenomenal! The portions are generous!!

The service was amazing, our waiter came by to check in on us at appropriate times, they brought over extra napkins without us even having to ask, and were attentive to our requests.

“Dinner choices were great, I was only sorry to not order the soft shell crabs which were on special that night! What we did chose was cooked to perfection , the stuffed flounder for me and a pasta dish with scallops & shrimp for my hubby, we thoroughly enjoyed them. It was our 1st dining experience here, and will definitely be back; but we were already familiar with the Seafood Market that they have since we've purchased fresh fish during Lent which was totally great!“

The charcuterie plates provide were fresh and delish ( not to mention she inquired about possible food allergies and dietary needs) which was a plus as my girlfriend and I do not eat meat. 3 this is experience surpasses your typical wine tasting IT IS INFORMATIVE! “Wide and varied selection of handhelds- burgers and sandwiches which come with fries that's golden crisp. Reuben Swiss on rye. Wonderfully melted cheese and succulent thin shaved brisket beef. Seated ahi tuna on arugula with sauce on the side was a bit plain.“

“If you’re looking for old school Italian, this is a great spot. They made it easy to schedule a work dinner for 9 people, and the service was quick and accurate. The Caesar salad was extremely tasty, as was my pasta dish, albeit a tad salty. The front bar area is also cozy and casual, so it’s a great place for an after work cocktail.

“As a local mortgage lender, I’ve been to a lot of great restaurants, but Rails Steakhouse stands out as my absolute favorite. Everything I’ve ever tried here has been excellent — the honey bourbon ribeye is my go-to, the Caesar salad is phenomenal, and the blue cheese au gratin potatoes are incredible. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is top-notch. The speakeasy downstairs is such a cool addition and makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Rails for anyone looking for an unforgettable meal and vibe.“

“Don Pepe never disappoints! Their food is absolutely amazing, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and service you receive. I ordered a calamari to go, and the bartender (a super friendly guy) was fantastic. He was incredibly nice and even threw in a huge piece of bread—easily 10 inches long! Definitely enough for leftovers, which was a nice surprise. The little details like this make the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Nice place. Service wasn't great. We had a new waiter, and he was not the greatest. He didn't pay attention to what we ordered, kept reminding him when we came back to the table of the items we ask for, nor the 1st or 2nd time, but the 3rd time. The atmosphere and food experience kind of override the service. I will definitely go back, but make sure I have someone more attentive and experienced.“
