“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.“

“I am OBSESSED with their chicken shawarma bowl. The chicken is tender and never weird. The bowl has all the ingredients I could want: red cabbage, feta, yogurt, salad, arugula, rice. And they have excellent portions. Idk how I lived here all this time and never got this but I’m loyal now 🫡“

“This is a cool Georgian restaurant in Newark, NJ. I stopped by randomly after shopping for an event. I tried Adjaruli Khachapuri for the first time in my life. It was pretty interesting in how it was prepared but it was tasty. I also had the creamy garlic chicken and some wine. Great for a solo lunch date or just because.“

“The most amazing and delicious Turkish Breakfast I ever had. Not only in New Jersey area. I’ve tried lots of places in the Tri-State area and it’s definitely 5 Stars. Everything is homemade. There’s a lot of food when you order Turkish Breakfast. The cheese on the platter is very rich. Definitely try the Turkish eggy toast. It’s absolutely so yummy. It’s only on Sundays 10:00am-2:00pm. The atmosphere is fantastic. Especially for any kind of showers or parties. I’ve found out they have 2 more locations in Cliffside Park,NJ & Livingston,NJ as well. The owner is super nice and he welcomes and is so polite to customers. The prices are very reasonable. They have a huge parking lot. Handicapped customers are welcome to restrooms and parking lot.“

From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. “I was introduced to this place about 6 years ago and I continue to still go to this place whenever I am craving a good gyro! I have moved and still continue to only go here and buy gyros! I ate there recently with my best friend (something I never do is eat there) so when I ate there the staff was very welcoming and friendly and even asked about the service to make sure it was perfect for us! I don’t really like gyros from anywhere else there’s has a special touch! I hope everyone can experience it!“
