“I brought my girlfriend to experience Indian food for the first time and this was the best spot ever! I have eaten in countless Indian restaurants and this one was by far the best in every category! Ramya, our server was so wonderful. She made recommendations and gave explanations of each item and directions on how to eat them using all the chutneys and dosas. Its hard to find good Indian food and I must say, I've been coming here for more than 20 years and I still will be coming more and more! Out of all the restaurants in parsippany & Rt 46, I specially come down to Wayne to eat this amazing food. my fav is the sag panir, malai kofta, and vegetable biryani. I love the one waitress and how she explained the spice levels according to chiptole and taco bell! the uncle who is the owner always greets everyone like hes known them for years. “I ordered mild. MILD. And yet my taste buds were personally visited by the ghost of every spice in existence. Was it spicy? A little. Did I care? Absolutely not, because the lamb biryani was so good I had to sit quietly for a moment and reflect on my life choices.

The butter chicken was silky, rich, and deeply unfair to every other butter chicken I’ve ever had. The garlic naan showed up like it had something to prove — and it did. I ate way too many pieces and I would do it again without hesitation.

The mango lassi was the cooldown I didn’t deserve but desperately needed.

“We popped in last night without a booking, before our movie viewing. The staff were so accomodating and friendly! The restaurant is candle lit and cozy, with quiet, ambient music. I often struggle with sound levels in busy restaurants, but I found the lighting and the sound level were really really pleasant. We ordered, and our starter was in front of us really quickly.

The food was delicious. Complex and rich flavours. Chicken tikka BBQ was so juicy and fresh. The lamb pasanda was the star of the show, even the gravy was mouth watering. The daal, in comparison, was a little bland, we might try a different vegetarian curry next time. The naan are HUGE, fluffy and authentic. Definitely share one between two. The challenge of the lassi was not drinking it in one go, it was so yummy.“

“In my experience, this is the best Indian restaurant hands-down journal Square. I recently moved to Harrison and I will still come to journal Square to get Indian food from here. I don’t know what it is but their chicken is the best almost every dish is just amazing. I haven’t tried every dish, so can’t really comment on every single one, but I’ve never been disappointed. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The masala dosa was our favorite so crispy and the sides were also very delicious. When the food trays are ready they open the sliding windows and call the number from the kitchen. Mango lassi was great. Ample parking in the lot next to the place.“

Food is excellent. Reminds me of Bangladesh town in the Bronx. Vegetable samosa (singhara) needs some salt. Chicken patty (puff) needs more filling (hardly 2 small pieces of chicken in them. Chicken biryani was delicious. Tandoori chicken was good as well. None of them were served with condiments (sad). The best of all is the Chai, it was spot on.

Upon arrival the cashier didn't greet or welcome, however, the server was welcoming. The server was able to speak in English and Hindi which was nice. He was patient and answered all the questions. On purpose I asked the server to pack different things randomly to see his service and he was impeccable. Good customer service.

Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The restaurant is in a sketchy area, not the best of places, however, the restaurant/bakery captured the essence of the area and brought beauty to it. The ambience is very south Asian and reads the area well. Music and clearly labeled menu items with prices would help.“
