“This is a mixed review. Jospeh is a formidable chef, but the restaurant itself is run down, chairs uncomfortable, noise level excessive and service sketchy. Some of our food (Duck confit pad thai and mixed mushrooms) was excellent, but the watermelon gazpacho was way too heavy on the garlic, and my husband couldn't eat it. Tuna tartare was mediocre and overpriced. Waitress couldn't stop asking how things were "TASTING", but didn't wait for an answer! Building should probably be condemned and the decor is falling apart.“

“Every delicious bite was noteworthy! I could eat here again and again. Easily the best meal we had during our recent stay in Santa Fe. My husband and I loved the various layers of flavor in each dish that we ordered. Very creative offerings. I highly recommend!“

“I had the chicken fried steak breakfast special. $13.75 for the steak smothered in green, , hash browns, two eggs, and two biscuits with gravy. Half for brunch and half I took home for dinner. What a excellent value, plus it was super tasty and well- prepared. We love this place!“

“Three of us had Thanksgiving dinner at Arroyo Vino. The appetizers were spectacular, including shrimp tempura, and a potato leek soup That was the best soup I had ever eaten. We all had the turkey dinner with whipped potatoes, cranberries, cornbread, and fresh green beans. All very tasty. for dessert, we had pumpkin pie and cranberry crème brûlée, which I liked a lot. It was the best restaurant Thanksgiving dinner we had ever had“

“Had a fantastic dinner with my wife. Really nice restaurant with outstanding food and service. We had the beef ribeye and the flank steak. Both were cooked perfectly and came with delicious sides. Topped it off with a good bottle of Rombauer Cab! We're from Texas where beef is king but these dishes were exceptional and we'll be back next time in Santa Fe! Clay & Karen Wade“

“The service was awesome. What was aggravating was that we had reservations but the people in front of us did not. He made a fuss ...they found them a table...but not good enuf.. we had to keep waiting...the more he fussed...the better his location got. Frustrating for those of us who reserve.“

“Thank You San Francisco Street Bar & Grill for an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving Day meal!
San Francisco Street Bar & Grill was closed to the public Thanksgiving Day 2025 but they did offer a complete Thanksgiving meal for pick up ( see attached photo of offering ). Reserving the meal over the telephone was simple.
The order was fulfilled as promised and was very delicious. The turkey cooked to perfection and the stuffing was truly amazing. While those were my favorites all food was extremely wonderful and thoughtfully packaged to go with ease. The included pumpkin pie was from 'Chocolate Maven'. Loading Zone right on Don Gaspar by front door on corner of San Francisco St and Don Gaspar.
I hadn't been to San Francisco Street Bar & Grill since it relocated once again near it's original location downtown. The food was delivered hot. As I waited for chef, owner, and staff to pack up the order - I had a nice look around. The entire restaurant was immaculate and decorated for the holiday season. The bar was organized and very clean. They had placards about describing services for Christmas parties and holiday reservations. Art displayed on the walls available for sale and tastefully done.
I know a first class operation when I see one. San Francisco Street Bar & Grill is first class all around.
I want Thanksgiving dinner from San Francisco Street Bar & Grill to be a new tradition. I hope they continue to offer this service.

(ps - after serving and sitting on stove top for nine hours, turkey was just as juicy and moist as as it was when entering the home! SO GOOD! )

“Great meal- Friendly and Interactive Wait staff. Fresh salad, hand cut french fries, juicy and delicious burgers and a wonderful menu of available drinks! GF options ( including fresh hamburger buns) and the dog friendly patio were key! If you are near Santa Fe this is a MUST TRY! ( Oh and the prices were incredible)!!!“

“Really nice place attached to the Hotel Chimayo. Service was quick and friendly, the pizza was very very good, and we had a good time taking it easy. Was a bit overrun with a wedding party ordering a pile of crazy drinks, but Efren kept up with the crowd very well. During busy times it could be good to bring on another bartender, but we have no complaints and will be back next time we are in SF NM.“

“Amazing restaurant and service! I have come here over 10 times now and have never been disappointed. It gets crowded, especially on weekends (but well worth the wait and the noise). The food is fresh, tasty, and there are tons of healthy options. Try the chocolate mouse pie!“

“Beautiful setting, but if you are going to charge THIRTY TWO DOLLARS for a chicken Caesar salad, literally a few pieces of Romaine and a small chicken breast, you should at least try to make sure that the chicken is fresh and grilled and juicy, not sad and dry and overcooked.“
“Last Saturday night we celebrated my husband's 80th birthday. I called and spoke with Ricardo Gutierrez about our wish to make this a memorable event. He could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with, sending me sample menus and tolerating my changes and many questions. He and the staff went out of their way to make the dinner party a success - providing several shiny balloons proclaiming happy 80th birthday and even making 2 birthday cakes, which were very good by the way, one to eat there and one to take home. The price fix menu provided great selections and the food was very good and reasonably priced. A good time was had by all.“

“We are here at Vinaigrette in Albuquerque, NM. Fantastic place to eat!!! Our first time. We are from Sacramento, CA. We had the duck tacos, gumbo soup and the duck arugula with creamy goat cheese…super tasty!!! Love the decor, it was bright, relaxing and cheery at the same time. Our waiter, Christopher, was super!!! He was cheerful, polite, very interesting person to talk to, had some wonderful info about Old Town, and overall good guy!!! “Actually enjoy going to Boxcar now that it has private party dining room, large dining area that's not ovee crowded, patio area, and an entertainment room. All are welcome and like that they are not woke as to leave out Conservative or make us feel awkward to "new society ". Actually enjoy karaoke now there that negitive people who don't want to be "so called bothered by us having fun and singing" are in another area completely. Everyone even if just watching some really good singers like Bricey, gets into it mood with dancing, singing along, cheering for the brave singers. Shanny Soul gives a great vibe Wednesday nights always being fair in rotation allowing those who haven't sang get a chance to plus only sings when its a small crowd, did overhear 2 ladies if that's what you call them complaining about not having a second tern in over an hour but there were just so many singers to have first turn and were being rude to KJ, staff and other patrons. Dorian cool but you can tell when he's drinking or drunk. He shouldn't bump people down list when there name is already showing in next 2. He tends to put people for second before others who haven't gotten chance. He also sings too much when long list. Crash is great but does do as Dorian with rotation and singing but is super friendly and does not drink. There's also a lady singer who seem to work with them or goes KJ for Shanny breaks. Seen her Sunday too, is super helpful with App and supper friendly adding to welcoming us environment. Food more expensive no but still great and expected for downtown. Loving wait staff and secutiy.. not recommended for young child“

“Small restaurant and bar with excellent food. Had buffalo short ribs which was moist and tender with good flavor. Spouse had stuffed poblanos pepper which full of flavor. There is a excellent patio area for during warmer weather with beautiful flowers around. Also their cup of soups is a meal by themselves. Brenda did a great job and the kitchen served warm and flavorful food.“

“Excellent dinner. Have loved this chef’s food for many years and glad he found a new home. Food superb. Especially the smoked salmon arancini. I was very sad he didn’t bring his team with him. Only one waiter for a Saturday night so restaurant not filled (should have been). The gracious sommelier was helping to take orders and serve. He’s too good of a chef to not have an incredible support staff. Our waiter did a fine job but nothing like his team when he was at Sassella.“

“We visited Santa Fe several times over the years and had stopped going to Luminaria because the menu had ceased to have a southwest element to it. We used to love eating there because you could get gourmet and fusion versions of Mexican dishes. Also, this menu seems to be out of touch with the fact that people are paying more attention to cholesterol and meat consumption. It's nice to have a few rich dishes on the menu, but this menu was overwhelmingly creamy dishes with pork duck lamb and beef. I wish they would bring back some of the exotic combinations they used to offer using classic flavors of the southwest.“

“We went in the off season, so we could walk right in and were seated by a fire roaring in a big kiva stove. One of us was blown away by the Brussels sprouts (I can't be near them in any form) and delighted by the Chilean sea bass (with a wild mushroom risotto and sun-dried tomato beurre blanc. I had a wedge salad (I may have pedestrian tastes) with a bleu cheese dressing that was made special by a touch of tarragon. My beef ribeye with a jalapeño demi-glace was beautifully tender and fatty, just the way I like it and rarely get it in Chicago (surprising, I know). There is also a huge and friendly bar if that's where you like to congregate. Highly recommend.“

“Red Sage Restaurant was absolutely wonderful! everything was top-notch. Our server Lydia was amazing, super friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The food was delicious and came out quickly. On top of that, the manager even stopped by our table to greet us and asked us if we needed anything which made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. Overall, it definitely exceeded our expectations in every way for a hotel restaurant. Great food, excellent service, Definitely will be coming back soon!“
