The flavours are authentic, meal portions are great and the ambience is amazing and the best part is it’s all halal. If you are in downtown, I highly recommend trying this restaurant!“

“First time eating here as we are from out of town. We we greeted as we entered the restaurant and pleasantly told to sit anywhere. The dining area is very small, about 4 tables, but is very clean. The menu is plentiful and priced reasonably. The food came within 15 mins, hot, plated wonderfully and large portions. Wonderful taste! We whole heartedly recommend a visit to or take out of this wonderful food! Thank you China Star!“

“Saturday evening (Feb 18) we randomly decided to stop by Jinloong for supper. We don't eat out much these days, but we were feeling like a treat. :) My husband had a combo Special A. It was a huge portion and delicious. I want to mention that my husband always finishes his plate. However, this meal was not only delicious but filling too. He had enough for in dining and leftovers for a take away lunch on Monday ! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, with no meat or shrimp. Our waiter was so helpful to make a lovely fresh enormous bowl of noodles with extra veggies for me. It was wonderful and I went home with 3 days of leftovers!! YAY!! This was such a great meal for "penny pinches" like us haha I'd like to say our experience at Jinloong was 5 stars, but I wish I could give an extra 5 stars for the lovely, helpful service we received from our waiter. He was a delight!! So kind, helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant don't look any further than Jinloong. The homemade sauces are absolutely worth every penny. The portions are fantastic, and the service is GREAT! We'll be back soon. I've included a photo of all our leftovers. “New Wing Wah is the best Chinese Restaurant in the Herring Cove area (out of of 3 options). They have the best combination of value for money and delicious dishes. My family has been infrequently ordering from this restaurant for the last decade and a half, and I can't remember ever being disappointed. If you get a chance, try out Combo 12, Smelt Fish, or the Boneless Crispy Chicken (C10). They're my go-to dishes!!

There's a very good reason why they don't need to be on delivery apps. This business is resilient with consistent service, value, and reliably delicious meals.“

“My wife and I have gone to Canton Gardens for almost 30 years. The food is excellent and they use quality ingredients in all their dishes. Their stir fried dishes are made only with fresh vegetables such as broccoli, zucchini, carrots, snow peas, and onions. None of the vegetables are frozen. My wife and I both love their kung po chicken, chicken with black bean sauce, and curry chicken. They also make delicious spring rolls. The restaurant is highly recommended.“

“Easy Foodies catered food for our staff party at the beginning of February. We ordered their “Party for 30” selection as well as a few additions. Not only was the food delicious as always (this is my neighbourhood Chinese restaurant), but they packed it so thoughtfully for my when I picked it up, included all the plates, cutlery and even the serve ware for scooping which was ABOVE and BEYOND. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.“

“I have been going to Hongs since early childhood, but most recently celebrated my post-wedding lunch there with my and my husband’s extended families. The food and the service have NEVER been anything short of perfection! We especially love the ginger beef, Hong’s chicken, stir fry duck, and Cantonese style egg noodles, but every dish we have tried has been delicious! The wonton soup we recently had was the best I have very tasted. Be sure to order lots of extras, the leftovers are mind blowing!“

“Best food I've had. Definitely our go to place while in the area. We ordered the dinner for 2 and added sweet n sour chicken and a wonton soup and everything was excellent. Soup had nice big wonton, veggies, shrimp and broth so very flavourful. Chicken was nice big pieces of chicken breast. Ginger beef was so crispy and sauce was really good. Egg rolls are filled with a tasty meat/spice mix. The sauces are runny but are full of flavour. I was concerned they were just watered down versions but not at all. They just don't have a thickener in them but that just means you don't get over powered by them. There was so much food we had enough for lunches the next day.“

If you enjoy being belittled, being called a liar, and spending 3 hours on a takeout fiasco LOOK no further this is the place for you. Make sure you repeat what you are ordering SEVERAL times. Make sure they repeat it back to you SEVERAL times. If you order something and receive something you did not order, you may get them to agree to bring you what you did order, HOWEVER, you will be called a liar. You will be asked prove they are at fault for the mistake or they will hold your replacement food hostage in your parking lot. You may have to snatch the food you paid for out of the driver's hands. I am not joking. I am speaking from personal experience.“

“I've had good egg foo young, but this is by far the best I've ever had. the tempura shrimp was crispy and lightly coated. I enjoy broccoli with beef and this did not disappoint. “Today at 11:30 at Mic Mac Mall: I usually enjoy the Noodles and Mongolian Beef. However today the beef in the Mongolian was very chewy and tough so I won’t get that anymore, since they are using “cheaper” meat. I got take-out and I get the fact the food would be cold, but it only takes me 10 mins to get home. Also, the girls need to speak up so they can be heard better. It wasn’t that noisy, and my hearing is fine.“
