“We have asked Carolyn to make a strawberry shortcake for our moms birthday! it was absolutely amazing!!! everyone raved about the cakes, then we ordered cream horns, fish cakes and the list goes on. Preserving Traditions is our go to spot for special treats for our beloved mom. Everything we have ever purchased has brought my mom back to good old fashion recipes that make her taste buds come alive. one treat in particular brought her back to her own grandmother's cooking. what a beautiful experience to witness such joy. Carolyn, you are phenomenal at what you do and we couldn't love you anymore. we will always be back for more!!! 🩷🩷🩷”

We thoroughly enjoyed each and every meal, be it the beef pockets, noodles, dumplings but the best one was the fried rice. The flavours are authentic, meal portions are great and the ambience is amazing and the best part is it’s all halal. If you are in downtown, I highly recommend trying this restaurant!”

“Well worth a trip across the bridge! I rarely go to Dartmouth, but had an appointment this aft. Walking back to my car, I noticed this cute spot, Portland Street Creperie and decided to check it out. So glad I did! I’ll definitely be back. The owner and his staff member of many years greeted me with a warm welcome and good suggestions. It was a bonus to discover Neil shares a love of Kraftwerk! I’m so jealous that he will be seeing them for the third time 🤦‍♀️. Oh, and the crepes - fabulous! Definitely recommended!”

“Terry’s Calamari is THE BEST because he has the best idea to cover it in an amazing tomato sauce and olives that elevates it to a whole new level. 3 of us shared it, gone in minutes.

For mains we had Spaghetti Bolognese and Tagliatelle Cacio e Pepe. Perfect portion, thoughtful details with garnish, and incredible sauce (and those lemon kissed scallops... amazing). Spiced chocolate crème brulee and Tiramisu rounded out the evening. Great evening supper on the patio. Excellent service. What a gem in the city 💎”

“We had almost given up on finding parking in the area (super busy due to a music festival) but are VERY glad we did not give up.
The Brussel sprouts were some of the best we'd EVER had, and the bernaise and the chili combined for amazing flavours. The burgers (Pig Mac & deluxe) were tasty, juicy and full of flavour, and the fries were fresh cut and delicious.
Great selection of beers, and the service was attentive and friendly.”

It's hands-down the best authentic pizza restaurant in the area. Every time we go, the experience is incredible. The pasta is just as amazing as the pizza—everything is so fresh, homemade, and made from scratch. You can really taste the quality and care in every dish. There are never any leftovers—we clean our plates every time! It’s become our go-to spot for a cozy, delicious meal that reminds us of home."”
