Thanks to the entire Canteen family - and I say FAMILY purposefully as you feel the family atmosphere as soon as you arrive - for hosting our team for dinner last week. We booked out the whole restaurant and they did just what we hoped for: Maritime hospitality, wonderful, genuine service and knock-your-socks off food. The team from across Canada went bananas over the Crobster sandwich. The special welcome from the owners was a lovely touch. The guests raved all the way back across the harbour on the ferry about the wonderful meal from start to finish. “Very cozy, modern style restaurant with very good service. I did find the food a bit one-dimensional compared to what I was expecting, but still comforting and satiating. Bar looks very cozy, would go there in future to be up with the action, especially considering their very interesting cocktail selection.“

“Well worth a trip across the bridge! I rarely go to Dartmouth, but had an appointment this aft. Walking back to my car, I noticed this cute spot, Portland Street Creperie and decided to check it out. So glad I did! I’ll definitely be back. The owner and his staff member of many years greeted me with a warm welcome and good suggestions. It was a bonus to discover Neil shares a love of Kraftwerk! The service ( thank you Alana) was the BEST we have recd to date, we even had a short visit from the chef ( Moira Murray)!
Our cocktails were expertly prepared by Lindsay and the chef put together a tasting menu ( 10+ dishes) for us!! Everything was SO delicious, each dish elegantly prepared with unique flavor profiles.
