“New Wing Wah is the best Chinese Restaurant in the Herring Cove area (out of of 3 options). They have the best combination of value for money and delicious dishes. My family has been infrequently ordering from this restaurant for the last decade and a half, and I can't remember ever being disappointed. If you get a chance, try out Combo 12, Smelt Fish, or the Boneless Crispy Chicken (C10). They're my go-to dishes!!

There's a very good reason why they don't need to be on delivery apps. This business is resilient with consistent service, value, and reliably delicious meals.“

“My wife and I have gone to Canton Gardens for almost 30 years. The food is excellent and they use quality ingredients in all their dishes. Their stir fried dishes are made only with fresh vegetables such as broccoli, zucchini, carrots, snow peas, and onions. None of the vegetables are frozen. My wife and I both love their kung po chicken, chicken with black bean sauce, and curry chicken. They also make delicious spring rolls. The restaurant is highly recommended.“

“The malatang here is absolutely delicious! The broth is flavorful, spicy but not overwhelming, and very aromatic. All the ingredients are fresh and clean with plenty of variety to choose from. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the place is kept neat and comfortable. Always a great experience—I’ll definitely come back again!“

I think the food was quite generous for the price you are paying! It was just a bit puzzling that the place was an empty when I visited, maybe it is being outshined by the pubs in the area.

“I ordered delivery to my house and it came very fast and was still very warm. The prices might seem a little expensive but you get so much food its totally worth it. I ordered C15 and I had leftovers for 2 days! Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had.“

“Just had black beef combo plate with mixed veggies and fried rice and it was very good. Liked the egg roll as it was meat and you could taste the ginger. Walked in and ordered takeout and it took a reasonable amount of time to prepare. Very tasty and fresh without a strong salty flavor often associated with MSG. Will order again. Sister orders wonton soup often and says the best she has had and any of the Halifax Dartmouth restaurants.“

“Singapore Noodles - our favourite menu item, and maybe the restaurant's best kept secret! Generous serving of curried noodles with carrot, green pepper, onion and bean sprouts along with shrimp, egg, and barbeque port slices. One order is plenty for two.“

“Very good bowl of ramen. Had the Dan Dan, which was advertised as spicy and numbing from Sichuan pepper but was very mild. Barely any heat or Sichuan peppercorn numbness, but it was still a very flavourful and plentiful bowl of noodles. Excellent pickles, and good bite on the noodles.“

“Pay NO ATTENTION TO BAD REVIEWS We live in Claton Park and found the ChineseVietnamese food the best we have ordered since moving here from Ontario a few years back. It was a little expensive but more than made up for that in quality. We had the order delivered in a bad rainstorm and a little girl showed up the credit card machine in hand looking like the wind would blow her away My wife and I are pretty old, and we were both impressed with the food We have ordered from quite a few places but Fon Sing is definitely the best“

“Horrible customer service, probably the worst I have ever encountered to be honest. If you enjoy being belittled, being called a liar, and spending 3 hours on a takeout fiasco LOOK no further this is the place for you. Make sure you repeat what you are ordering SEVERAL times. Make sure they repeat it back to you SEVERAL times. If you order something and receive something you did not order, you may get them to agree to bring you what you did order, HOWEVER, you will be called a liar. You will be asked prove they are at fault for the mistake or they will hold your replacement food hostage in your parking lot. You may have to snatch the food you paid for out of the driver's hands. I am not joking. I am speaking from personal experience.“
