Employees are always helpful and have a great attitude even during a rush. It was clear the café was understaffed for the influx of customers, yet Angel handled the pressure with grace and a smile. She stayed calm and organized in the chaos, never placing blame on her team or management.

At one point, a customer became upset, and Angel addressed the situation with a level of professionalism and empathy that’s rare to see in such a fast-paced role. She’s a true asset to your team—please thank her again on our behalf. She deserves recognition, a raise, and a promotion!

Also, a big shoutout to Kim, the busser, who was clearly juggling a lot but still made the effort to help out wherever she could. As a business leader myself, I recognize strong team members when I see them—and they’re a reflection of great leadership. Kudos to your whole team! Please consider allocating more budget for extra staff during busy events like this.

“My family, wife and two daughters have been coming here for about 10 years. We come from California and would stop over on our camping trips to Yellowstone, Wyoming and Montana. Carlillos soon became a regular stop for any business in the eastern sierras. I grew up in San Diego and this is the best Mexican food I’ve had. Not because it’s complex or a fancy restaurant, it just makes you feel at home regardless of where you live or where you came from. Great family, atmosphere and food. I usually get Huevos Rancheros and the family tries something different every time and it’s always good. Girls are in college now but they always ask when are we going back.“

The best, of course is the Cheeseburger taco - which I know sounds odd, but until you try it, you have no idea what you're missing. “We did some research to find a great taco truck while visiting in Reno and Tacos Pillulles absolutely was it. It’s in the parking lot of a Home Depot and during the day, surely gets a lot of business. (We went for dinner and were able to get seats at the tables they had set up.) We ordered a bunch of tacos al pastor (marinated pork), cabeza (beef head), carnitas (shredded pork), and carne asada. Each one was DELICIOUS and had distinct flavors from the others. The three salsas that came with the tacos were distinct and flavorful and mildly to moderately spicy (but nothing to set your tongue on fire). The carnitas tacos also came with a delicious consommé. Bonus points for having a wide variety of Jarritos and Mexican Coca Cola (i.e., in glass bottles). And the service was quick, incredibly friendly, and pleasant. I would 100% recommend Tacos Pillulles to anyone looking for good street tacos and will definitely be back the next time I’m in Reno.

(And for those who are curious, I asked about the meaning of Pillulles. The woman who was working didn’t know, but said it was the nickname of the owner. He’s been called Pillulles since he was a little kid.)“

“We live in Moll Valley, CA and we used to eat at the San Francisco Ruth's Chris Steak when we wanted a great steak. Unfortunately, the closed during the pandemic but they never reopened. We drove from Northstar to eat at the Ruth's Chris Steak House in Silver Legacy. We had a reservation and were quickly seated in a large dining room for a table for 2-4. Collin came to introduce himself as our server and his associate. We had asked if we could share the 16 oz ribeye steak and he said they would split the Caesar's salad and our stead. We also ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and the creamy spinach. It had been so many years since we had eaten at RCSH that when we took our first bite we were so amazed with the taste and tenderness of the ribeye. The mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were far superior to House of Prime Rib's version of the same items. Collin and his associate kept checking on us making sure we were enjoying our meal. Both were very sincere in making sure our meal was up to our expectations. I had told Collin and his manager that the meal TOTALLY EXCEEDED our expectations and we will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend Ruth's Chris Steak House if you want a steak dinner that is out of this world.“
