“We had a joyous birthday celebration at my son’s favorite restaurant. Akanomi’s staff and sushi chefs, itamae, excelled at all endeavors. Vivan was spot on with her suggestions and service. She anticipated all of our needs, especially with our children. The chicken soba soup, tuna carpaccio and Hawaii Rolls were our favorites. Then the sashimi / sushi mixed roll party docked. It was stunning in presentation, offerings and taste. Oh my, it was very impressive. A most wonderful time was had by all.“

“Franca and her team at the Altamont Vineyard & Winery did an amazing job for my daughter's bridal shower. Franca was very easy to work with during the planning phase and the execution was flawless. The place looked so beautiful despite a rainy May day. The brick oven pizza was incredible, especially the arugula/pear/goat cheese! Apps, dessert & drinks were so delicious as well (be sure to try the wine cocktails). The flower cart for the guest favors was a huge hit! Thank you to all for making it such a special day (the staff was very friendly and helpful). We will definitely be back to the tasting room and consider this venue for future events.“

“We go there quite a bit. For beer, sometimes take out, donuts and pastries. When it is warm, i like to get a beer, and sit outside and relax. Have gone to the easter buffet. Quite good. Wish I could get a pizza at Defazios. If open, usually crowded, and takes a long time to get one.“

“General Tso's tofu is amazing. Food is consistently fresh. Great portions and prices. Plenty of great options in the area but this is a favorite.

“They’ve been in Altamont for a very long time and owners frequently change and so does there food. They hadn’t been good for many years, but owners have changed again and there pizza is really good. I honestly prefer it over most pizza in Albany.“

“I walked in and felt welcome. Instantly the guy behind the counter really went out of his way to make sure I had a good recommendation. However, the service experience was unfortunately quite frustrating. The wait for a table was significant, and the waiting staff appeared overwhelmed and disorganized. We waited over thirty minutes after being seated before anyone even approached us for a drink order or to bring water, a delay that felt prolonged even for a busy night. Seeing other tables not receive menus and witnessing several groups depart due to the extended waits suggested a need for better coordination among the team, even while acknowledging potential staffing shortages. I went in there at 6:30 sat at the bar bartender put on the anger game and was very attentive. Great service. I didn't ask his name but he handled the whole bar. Good people. No craziness. Ordered a Heineken onion rings which both were fantastic. Look I'm mostly interested in good servers and someone that's smiling and that's what I got. The bar stools were far enough apart where you weren't hitting shoulders or elbows with other people who's good nice hometown bar. I miss it. I live in Scottsdale most of the year and everything's a free-for-all. I don't care what bar you're in

“So the sushi was really excellent. We got two different specialty rolls. You could tell the sushi was really fresh. We got delivery through Uber eats and everything was fresh just not hot because the Uber eats driver didn’t use a hot bag. The rock shrimp is not what you’d expect.. it was really tempura shrimp that was soggy.. I’d never get that again. The fried rice was great because healthy not greasy . Our son got the salmon sashimi and loved it. The soup was good but also done differently. I’d like to eat in because I feel like the sushi itself is worth it and would like to try the hibachi“

Also they hands down have the best chinese food on the planet. Ive had friends stay with me from L.A. and they could not believe how good this food was.
