“We had a joyous birthday celebration at my son’s favorite restaurant. Akanomi’s staff and sushi chefs, itamae, excelled at all endeavors. Vivan was spot on with her suggestions and service. She anticipated all of our needs, especially with our children. The chicken soba soup, tuna carpaccio and Hawaii Rolls were our favorites. Then the sashimi / sushi mixed roll party docked. It was stunning in presentation, offerings and taste. Oh my, it was very impressive. A most wonderful time was had by all.“

“Volunteered at a wonderful event for Petey's Legacy, a local pitbull rescue. Many other rescues were in attendence, there was live music, and a performance from Hedlawitches! De Fazios was serving up their amazing pizza, and the outdoor taproom was open as well, serving hard ciders, beers, and a specialty drink as well as a specialty pup cup! A perfect first day of November!“

“General Tso's tofu is amazing. Food is consistently fresh. Great portions and prices. Plenty of great options in the area but this is a favorite.

“They’ve been in Altamont for a very long time and owners frequently change and so does there food. They hadn’t been good for many years, but owners have changed again and there pizza is really good. I honestly prefer it over most pizza in Albany.“

“We had a delicious lunch at The Moon and River Cafe today. Reubens , Thai fries, beet salad and blueberry pie all vegan and kindly prepared and served by Richard as always. We have been there several times and will definitely be back !“

“Generally food was excellent. My table had bangers a d mas and fish and chips. Both were great. Theme was UK. However a split pea ham soup was over the top salty. Upon complaint I got a beet and mixed green salad which was excellent. We had bread pudding and whiskey chocolate cake. Both were great. This was first time for waitress but she did great. Was attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend eating here if you can get a reservation“

The amount of food is plentiful. The server is excellent, he's friendly, efficient (he works very hard) and he is confident with his recommendations, he knows the menu and dishes really well. His recommendations have surpassed our expectations. He's probably the best waiter we've ever had. “In town for a little bit just was driving by and saw New York rangers flying out front. I'm a rangers fan and the game was on at 7:00. I went in there at 6:30 sat at the bar bartender put on the anger game and was very attentive. Great service. I didn't ask his name but he handled the whole bar. Good people. No craziness. Ordered a Heineken onion rings which both were fantastic. Look I'm mostly interested in good servers and someone that's smiling and that's what I got. The bar stools were far enough apart where you weren't hitting shoulders or elbows with other people who's good nice hometown bar. I miss it. I live in Scottsdale most of the year and everything's a free-for-all. I don't care what bar you're in

“Scottis Restaurant is outstanding. The Mussels Marinara Fra Diavolo is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked with a bold, spicy sauce. My wife loves the veal parm. Owner Guy is an excellent chef and a genuinely great person. Service is fast, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend and will be back.“

“Went for the first time and I can say the food was very good! The shrimp and grits had really nice flavor and was a perfect portion size. The place is cute but a bit on the smaller side. The service was good but not great..about average. All in all a good experience here and I live close by so will be going back!“

“So the sushi was really excellent. We got two different specialty rolls. You could tell the sushi was really fresh. We got delivery through Uber eats and everything was fresh just not hot because the Uber eats driver didn’t use a hot bag. The rock shrimp is not what you’d expect.. it was really tempura shrimp that was soggy.. I’d never get that again. The fried rice was great because healthy not greasy . Our son got the salmon sashimi and loved it. The soup was good but also done differently. I’d like to eat in because I feel like the sushi itself is worth it and would like to try the hibachi“

“my son and I stopped for breakfast on our way back to CT after a fun weekend at the Indian lookout country club. The coffee tasted great and sure hit the spot. Zak had the meat lovers omelette with home fries and raisin toast. I had French toast with one egg and bacon. Everything was delicious!“
