“Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! Super friendly service, quick, and delicious. What else could you need?“
“We could not be happier with how our event at Farm to People went. The space is cozy and warm, the food was amazing (with lots to choose from) and the staff was incredible. I was able to completely relax and enjoy myself at my event because I knew everything was well taken care of. I have not a single complaint!“
“So bummed this place wasn’t around when I was growingUp in Queens (Us Cubans are a rare breed to find in NYC period!) I live in NJ now and still haven’t had really good Cuban food! ? I went to visit my homies in Ridgewood (she’s half Cuban & from Miami -so she knows good Cuban food!!)and was BLOWN away when my order of ropa vieja was delivered…HOLY SHHHHHHH it was delicious & I even had left overs! Generous portions & tasty! Soooo good I to jump online and leave a review! Love this spot!!! HIGHLY recommend!! Took a pic midway through cause it was so yumm!“
“I went over the weekend to this restaurant following my sister's suggestion. I want to said that she was 100% correct when she claimed that the chicken was the best she had ever had. After trying I can also attest to it, the chicken coupled with crisp veggies and flavorful rice was a good choice. We also tried the sangria and it was pretty good as well.I am planning to come back soon as there are other dishes that I would like to try.At last, the staff was super friendly and willing to please....Kudos to this new neighborhood restaurant!“
“I’ve been a long time customer since it’s grand opening. Nina, Julie, Paul, and staff have done an amazing job at cultivating a sense of community that I have not seen at any cafe before and it is a unique staple of forest hills, queens. They are really good at developing their staff and you can really see that the staff feel appreciated and enjoy working there. And by community, somehow the customers the cafe attracts are all positive and super nice. The cafe makes you want to act on your best behavior maybe because we all know we want to keep coming here and keep the vibes great. lol I enjoy the customers and the interactions here. Finally writing my review. Hope the cafe remains.“
“Incredibly homey service and atmosphere!! Everything was delicious and very fresh. The dips and platters were absolutely unforgettable, vibrant flavors and amazing balance in taste — not a single complaint first time going! (those lemon potatoes are nothing less than mind blowing) Everything tasted completely authentic and don’t skip on the Greek hot coffee, made over sand and very rich tasting. The deserts also were an extremely satisfying end to a meal, being very rich and delectable. Service was wonderful, giving all customers a friendly and comforting welcome, making everything feel natural and inviting.“
“Today I had a life changing cookie. I had the strawberry milk cookie, then immediately texted my husband and called my sister to talk about this amazing cookie. Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors, so maybe I’m biased, but it was the best cookie I’ve had in a really long time. It was soft with crunchy bits on top, and the strawberry flavor popped. I felt like a cartoon character with heart eyes and sparkles coming out of my head with just one bite. The s’mores cookie was also amazing. Both cookies were delicious and also unique. I can’t wait to try the other flavors.“
“Went to East Rock Coffee recently with my girlfriends after our Barre class. We were a pretty large group but that did not hinder the modest team at East Rock from offering us top tier service. We had some of the most delicious beverages and bites and everyone was raving about the experience. I had the Fontina Chicken (which quite literally changed my life!!!) along with the strawberry spritzer and a glass of Chardonnay. Please make sure that East Rock Coffee is on your list! You will not be disappointed.“
“Layout/atmosphere*Cafe/coffee shop; nine tables; three tables on sidewalkFood/drink*Ciabatta, egg & cheese (organic scrambled eggs, Cheddar cheese, pickled jalapeño & parsley cream cheese, red onion, bacon & avocado) - very good; eggs & cheese melted together perfectly; kick from the cream cheese; good bread*Chocolate chip cookie - Good; thin; crunchy exterior, chewy interior*Complimentary water cooler“
“This is my favorite donut place!! I love the variety of flavors they have - always some classic but some unique as well. Very friendly staff too.Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!More pics on my Instagram findingvegannyc :)“
“I ordered a chai latte on a Saturday at 12:30 PM. It was perfect flavor, sweetness and temperature. I got it with almond milk. I brought in a bagel from another place. However, I saw that they also sell bagels and I heard people ordering an egg sandwich as well as other items, I also noticed they have healthy shakes as well. Since I live nearby I got a punchcard and I hope to visit soon. I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty positive that it's Latin owned possibly female owned as well. There's not too much seating, I believe there's three tables of two inside and two tables outside. Luckily, not too many people stay for long periods of time I was able to stay for two hours, talking to my friend with no problem.“
“Been meaning to leave a review for a while. The best coffee shop. The drinks are consistently solid, my go to is the matcha latte - they do it right. The owner is the nicest person on earth, and the staff is always so friendly and chill. Always feel so relaxed and cool here. Great place to get some work done, catch up on reading, or just hang out and do nothing. They have great community events too.“
“Compass Cafe is a light in the neighborhood, it is set apart. From the outside to the inside you can feel a difference. The workers are so nice and friendly. The options are limitless. They always have great new and fun ideas for every season! It’s fully missioned based…where else can you find that? Compass and Hope are my home!“
“So far everything I've ordered from here is delicious. My friends and I love the Gelato, macaroons, their keylime pie is so rich. Overall great experience ordering - I have never been in store for the experience but that may change soon.“
“Wanted a nice cup of velvety not too sweet strong coffee! Found this gem and the Lady up front so sweet! Recommended a macchiato. Got the vanilla flavor and she made it perfect! So happy found another coffee spot that is worth the beans for your bucks! And service too!“
“Awesome local coffee shop, always doing events for the community and providing a safe and cool environment for their customers. The staff is super friendly and they gave us some great recommendations, I had the brown sugar latte and a pistachio latte that was one of the best I’ve ever had, definitely coming back.“
“Cypress Inn is cozy and welcoming, and the food is amazing, personally I enjoy getting the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. Their coffee is amazing and I love to stop by every morning before work. They make you feel right at home and really makes you appreciate a good atmosphere. I love Cypress Inn!“
“I just stumbled upon this cute little shop & I’m obsessed! Great customer service and treats! I can’t wait to be back and try the espresso. The owner is so lovely - gave me a free espresso cupcake so I can give it a try! It was yummy “
“The coffee here always tastes fresh, it smells inviting, I am never disappointed with a bagel and cream cheese here. The staff with special mention to Ceven are cool, and remember regulars. Much like all night skate they embrace the lgbtiaq and black experience and incorporate it into the atmosphere in a way that is comfortable, relaxing, and inviting. They are clearly supported by the local community as all of the books are donated and the activity board has local events changed out by guests. If you ever swing by pick up a book, grab a coffee and take a seat. It won't take you long to understand the local vibeConstructive criticism -- I wish these guys curated their community cork board themselves -- awesome possibilities there“
“AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I placed an online order with Brooklyn Tea for my event. My package was supposed to arrive after the event, but I contacted customer support and gave them my circumstances. Guys, this company went above and beyond to personally deliver my item right to my door. A heartfelt "Thank you" to Ali, Jamila, and the entire team for turning the tide of events!PS: My girls and I could not get enough of the deliciousness that came in every tea package. I'll be shopping here again soon!!“
“Nice friend/associate meet-up spot with a calm and inviting ambience. The juices and smoothies are a 10/10 for me! And they’ve a few games to play with others. Highly recommend going here. They only have turmeric bread, though. Small detail, yet important to name for some people.“
“Gave this place a try a week ago and it was pretty good. Nothing we had was what I would call "ground breaking" but it was pretty solid for classics. The pancakes were very fluffy and fat but held good flavor too. For some reason I just had to try this places chopped cheese (my local bodega stopped selling food and switched to weed) and yea I've had better chopped cheeses but it did scratch that itch when you're craving one. I got the energizer juice also which was on par with others no notes. All in all the place is studry it sells what it's good at and seems to have a following of customers that appreciate that.“
“Such a cool and inviting neighborhood cafe with a small library and collection of art, books and magazines . The coffee is great and the pastries and Haitian patties are flaky and delicious. Stumbled into it one day and it quickly became my favorite spot.“
“Nook in Brooklyn is a delightful find! The cozy ambiance makes it perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a moment alone. And let's talk about their Cappuccino coffee—absolutely divine! Rich, creamy, and expertly crafted, it's a true treat for any coffee aficionado. Highly recommend stopping by for a sip of perfection.“
“My usual order for breakfast is a Jessie’s Burrito (egg, beans, potatoes, Oaxaca cheese…I get turkey sausage but it originally comes with chorizo) and an almond milk Chai Tea Latte. Super tasty and the perfect amount of fuel for my morning!“
“My friend and I did not expect to ever find a spot that we love so much to make it a regular spot until now! , the food was quick and delicious, the coffees!! Let me just say we ordered more to go! And craved more after. It was a very calming feeling being there they ask how your food and drinks were, overall it was a great experience.“
“My favorite coffee shop! The sweetest lady owns and runs this adorable shop with homemade pastries that are to die for. A peaceful cafe that is perfect for catching up with a friend. Such a welcoming atmosphere - would choose this cafe over every other in the area. (Don’t forget to try the delicious Jalapeño cheddar scone or turkey bacon cheddar buns)“
“Caffe Vita’s Bushwick outpost is a rather excellent spot to sip a finely-made coffee, grab a baked treat, catch up with a friend, or just catch your breath after a non-stop paced day in the city. have been to Caffe Vita a couple of times and ordered a “Sevilla” each time…and both times hit the spot on particularly cold days. the quality coffee is quite flavorful with a touch of orange zest and finished with some coffee art. sometimes the simplest of coffee drinks is fills in the gaps of your day.the interior is pleasant and superclean—a decent amount of seating in the front and back; filled with various Vita merch; and dominated by a modern coffee bar where the brew magic happens. the service is pleasant and friendly. totally enjoyed chatting with the barista while deciding upon my first drink at Vita.while Caffe Vita is a Seattle transplant, the local vibe embodies that NYC spirit without any gruffness or aloofness. Vita has a charm of its own in Bushwick and i am glad this part of a Brooklyn is still on the rise.“
“Made a quick pit stop here to refuel. This is ideally situated 1 block from bike path. The coffee options are plenty. We did not try any food as we just finished brunch in Sheepshead Bay.Grabbed my dose of caffeine and sat outside on the bench. The day was sunny and street was quiet for 1 pm. Was able to use the washroom upon request. The staff was friendly and also allowed another cyclist to bring their bike indoor. Will definitely come again & try the energy balls…“
“we were very happy with our breakfast sandwiches! I had a few questions regarding coffee grinds. the man was knowledgeable and happy to share information! overall 10/10 :) Nice Latin American decor - also, very clean, organized and spacious cafe!“
“The person helping us was incredibly kind and patient. They explained everything Kava to us since it was our first time drinking it. I really liked the Horchata-Kava mix but I feel like it wasn’t as strong as I’d like to get the full experience. The space is small but there is outdoor seating. Since it was warm, I enjoyed drinking my Kava in the park.“
“Great place to enjoy meals with friends, family or solo. Friendly and efficient staff.Lots of delicious food and drink offerings.I've never been disappointed with the food.Vegetarian options: Fresh vegetable & fruit drinks to die for.Kid-friendliness: Very relaxed and comfortable seatsWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I am giving the cashier a five star because their very pleasant Atmosphere is always clean. for the ones who prepare The meal in the back I don’t like the fact that they are angling phone, money while wearing gloves. You are preparing food take off the gloves whenever you’re about to handle MONEY. Phone is so bad but still u should’ve to because you’re the cook that’s a NO NO“
“A brunch spot the Long Beach area needed for sure! There is nothing really like this in Long Beach yet - a place to go and get a nicer brunch with family or the girls on a weekend. Definitely a great sit down breakfast option. We had to wait for about 25 minutes on a Saturday around 10am but once we sat down service was fast and efficient. They also have the app that tells you your spot in line so we could go run some errands while we waited! I got the Delancey street omelet with no tomatoes. It was a very good omelet (a little overcooked in the eggs but pretty standard with diner food) and I got sweet potato fries and rye toast on the side which were the stars of the show! I don't normally like sweet sauce with my fries but their sauce was amazing too. My boyfriend got the domingo tacos which were a bit mushy but overall good flavor. The fresh squeezed OJ was fantastic - highly recommend and the espresso was good as well!! If you want a sweet breakfast all of their French toasts coming out looked to die for. All in all I would come back for sure. It was very busy on the weekend! Good vibe and seemed like it is the new brunch destination for a lot of the island.“
“I wanted to give 3 stars but the employees were nice and the overall atmosphere/set-up of the menu was convenient. Very good pricing transparency too between the standard and premium donuts. They also have a donut bar.My friends have commented favorably on the rainbow cookie donut although they did not have that this weekend. I had the black and white plus the cinnamon bun while my partner got the Boston cream and the maple bacon. They were good overall. However, the presentation/structure of the donuts were less than ideal. Prices were good (base $3.50) but the Boston cream was basically two holed donuts with cream slathered in between. This was very awkward and difficult to eat. The cinnamon roll donut based on the photo looked like it was a solid one and not a holed pastry. They pipe the cinnamon icing over the hole. I found it too sweet and the ratio of pastry to icing is off given the fact it's done on top of the hole. They should utilize the donut shape without the hole for some of these flavors instead of doing it on top, since this leads to a full bite of icing.Donuts otherwise were good and excellent flavor assortment. I just would recommend they change how they structure the donuts with more icing!Parking can be tough around here since it's by the train station. Would likely need to pay for it on the meter without a permit.“
“Definitely don't sleep on this place! I came all the way from Queens to try this place before going to fun with friends. This place had no A/c and was hot as zxcysbd!! But, these tacos were everything. The hot sauce was phenomenal and the spicy margaritas were everything! The waitress was so sweet and made the best suggestions. Definitely order the tostones with that garlic sauce Mayo thing“
“Came here last night with a large group and I had so much fun! The staff here is awesome and the food and drinks hit the spot. It may be small but it packs a punch. The DJ was great and had my mom and her friends up and dancing the night away. Definitely will be back!“
“I went yesterday with my 2 grandchildren. . Marie was sooooooo kind, related to the kids, made us feel so comfortable even with the stroller taking up room. The ice cream was amazing! Best hot fudge I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back:)“
“Beautiful location, love the no laptop policy so this place doesn't just become a remote workplace. Heirloom coffee that punches at a world class coffee level. Nothing to hate other than the fact that these nicities come at a cost (but one that is worth it).“
“a new staple of the neighborhood, i live around the corner and am in all the time. you know the interior vibe well, it's a modern coffeeshop. the specialty drinks are inventive and fun (Horchata Latte, Matcha with Guava Syrup) and the baristas are a collection of chilled-out hot people who somehow are lowkey and nice to boot. my only complaint is that on fridays during business hours it's so packed with remote workers you'll have to take your drink to go. Let the crowds be a testament to the quality“
“Sweet (no pun intended) little bakery in Kew Gardens. The shop is not big and the selection is not huge but what they have is very good. I took home two Guava Puffs which were very good. The Crust was sweet and grumbly and it was bursting with Guava. I also took home something I had never tried or seen elsewhere. It's called French Nut. This one was filled with Apricot. Mom and I split it and it was enough to fill us up due to its richness. It was ?. The prices are very reasonable. The lady working there was very helpful and pleasant.“
“My favorite food place in bushwick! They change their menu daily which is fun to see what’s happening on their social media but keep their staples in. All of them are ridiculously good but my favs are the blueberry, pumpkin pecan, sausage jalapeño and chili! Plus the owners are sooo sweet and kind. I take the L into BK just for these treats.“
“My family and I have been coming here from the day the doors opened. And the service and products have remained impeccable. Every time I go I’m greeted with a smile and most times they already know my order. The thing I love the most is actually everything! Keep up the great work. A forever customer ?“
“SOO GOOD!!! Swung by for breakfast with my cousin and boy was the food delicious!I got the Green Delight Breakfast sandwich which was a bit messy but 10/10 taste wise. My cousin got the Spicy Pleasure and while she liked hers she did feel like it wasn’t spicy enough so she ended up having to put hot sauce on it.I also got the Chagamatcha latte (iced) and it was so good! This spot is reasonably priced for breakfast sandwiches and I would 100% come back here and try something different since every choice sounded amazing. If you’re in the area definitely check it out!“
“I constantly seek out coffee shops and have a running list on my phone of the best coffees I’ve ever had…well the second I took a sip of the Iced Salted Caramel Latte I had to change my notes and rank it as the best coffee I’ve ever had. They have a salted caramel cold foam that goes on top and is to die for. They also have these adorable pastries called Egg In a Blanket that were quite good. I also had a cardamom bun that was delicious too. Oh and the staff is incredibly friendly and they have adorable merchandise!“
“My forever favorite is the strawberry banana cake! Not too sweet. A little fruity. First time dine in. They presented with whipped cream and some jam which was super nice and elevated the taste. They have decaf coffee! Got two decaf latte! Came on Friday afternoon. Very busy.“
“Really nicely decorated. If you identify as a black woman, you will feel celebrated seeing all of the vibrant art on their cushions, paintings and other decorative pieces.Service was great, the server was so attentive the owner stepped out to let me know where the best spot was for my office work. I ordered a latte w/ almond milk, the Zaca Platter and their pancakes. The grits in the Zaca platter was too good; well seasoned and the salsa verde is something I’m going to add to my scrambled eggs going forward. The pancakes were fluffy and crispy on the edges. Such a great spot and the prices are so reasonable for the quality of food you enjoy.“
“staff can be a little slow and inconsistent but i think it’s just the vibe. the breakfast sandwich is really good and all the doughnuts are def worth trying. coffee is super strong and even though there seems to be some loitering there’s generally always space to “
“A proper slice and pasta spot. Great staff, excellent slices & pasta, nice price. It was particularly charming how the staff addresses customers who are both new or regulars, they’re just friendly and genuine. Multiple staff stopped by the table of a developmentally disabled man and (presumably) his mom just to say hello to him and chat. Normal, community-oriented stuff that is so west to see that those guys probably don’t even think about, that’s just treat people. God bless em.“
“The young staff is very professional courtesy attentive and VERY friendly. The young ladies provided efficient fast and good service. Their welcomeness was so warming and inviting. My food was made with love and caring efforts. I like this Dunkin. I visited on November 11.“
