“Popped in for a latte (first time) and it was delicious! They were out of almond milk, so the barista recommended I try macadamia... and I'm glad he did! It was very good. Hamlet made the list of neighborhood cafés I would continue to visit.“

“Farm to people offered CSA quality produce and so much more in their first delivery to me. I ordered a produce box and a fruit box, plus proteins and everything was super fresh, minimally packaged and flavorful. I love the option of being able to switch out items in your produce box subscription. I spent here about 2/3 of what I would spend in the grocery stores on Manhattan. I'm looking forward to my next box already.“

“tldr:the orange blossom latte is a drink i will remember.
lovely refuge from a rainy day.
i was biking along when heavens opens. searching for the nearest interior my clunky bike and i stumbled our way into this blue sanctuary. we were graciously welcomed in and patiently waited. Baristas were friendly but not overbearing and kind to each customer that followed after me.
The interior is endearing. The couch is super comfortable and the book selection is great! I had forgotten a book at home so i was especially grateful for this. I especially love that there is a book nook for a child too!
as mentioned the orange blossom latte is something I will dream about and certainly come back for 🧡☕“

“Excellent little Cafe tucked away on a side street in Brooklyn. Run by two delightful sisters. Food was awesome and the Cappuccino. The Waffles I had were amazing with homemade batter. Definitely on my new spot of must stops in Bushwick.“

“This is the best coffee shop in the neighborhood. The staff (shout out Elvis) is incredibly kind and make you feel like the only customer they've ever known. He comes to my dog's birthday parties if that tells you anything. The shop is clean yet dog friendly, small but warm and sunny. The food is INCREDIBLE. I could drink a small swimming pool of their lemonade. Just go - get a biscuit. Or a sandwich. Or a banan bread. I could go on and on.“

“My favourite cafe in Brooklyn. Asian-owned, super friendly and cool staff, tasty pastries that are hard to find in the neighbourhood. Great place to read / work / write on weekdays (no laptops on weekends). They are truly a community hub, with rotating art exhibits and phenomenal programming / events. I can't recommend LTS enough!“

“Very nice location and layout is very welcoming with a lot of outdoor and indoor seating. Quick and friendly staff.
The ricotta starter was amazing with a great balance of flavors.
The Pancakes were beautiful but very dense so didn’t hit the mark for me with the wet gooey texture and large size.
Hash browns were great“

“Beautiful coffee shop on Queens Blvd. I had a cortado and a black cup of coffee. Both were just ok. The food and the pastires are the draw here. Too many delicious cakes to mention. The avocado toast was outstanding. Topped with grape tomatoes, feta, calmata olives, and herbs. Outstanding. I had the spinach and cheese filo dough pie that was great as well. The shop is very well appointed. There's outdoor seating. Service was great.“

“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. U had no idea that my Morning started out so crappy, and your sweet personality and loving spirit really turned my day around and the tres leches latte was AMAZING 🙌🏼🩷💯 yall go see them and be patient …..it’s worth the wait ❤️ side note… the whole place is decorated beautifully! Love the swings ✅“

“OKKA is, without a doubt, the best coffee shop in Greenpoint. I’ve tried coffee from so many places, and nothing compares. Every cup is consistently delicious, the quality is amazing, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax or grab your daily coffee.
Even if you’re a few blocks away, it’s worth the walk—even if it means being a little late. That’s how good the coffee is. Highly recommend!“

“It’s probably time I gave this place a proper review, as it holds a special place in my heart. I come here often with my partner, and it’s become a small part of our routine to which I always look forward to.
The coffee, as you can imagine, is excellent. A lot of people rave about the rocket fuel which is great as well, although I prefer it with oat milk over my usual whole.
The real standout is the service at Kaleidoscope. I’m not really one to strike up conversations with anyone, let alone when it’s early and I need to get to work, but the atmosphere here really is amazing. The owner, Adam (I think), has always treated me well and has on multiple occasions thrown in some free goodies for me and my partner. There is another barista there as well, she’s similarly friendly and skilled at what she does.
I guess this was all just to say that I do recommend this place, it was one of the first places I felt welcomed in Greenpoint not just as a customer but as a member of the community.“
“I ordered the greek wedding cookies and they were absolutely delicious. Growing up in Astoria, I had access to the best Greek/Mediterranean food, and these surpassed my expectations. I can’t wait to go back and try all the other items offered. Great spot and location.“

“My new favorite spot in forest hills! I tried a brown butter banana matcha latte and it was so delicious! Also had their Nutella croffle which was so good! Will be back to try their other drinks but overall a great spot to hang with friends or have a solo cafe date. It does get pretty busy in there but the line moves quick. There’s also a decent amount of seating.“

“I’ve been coming to Nook for about a year now. Some people do criticize the way that it’s always packed, but my dog & I have always managed to find a spot, & I actually enjoy the atmosphere of a packed house. It means lots of pets for my dog, meeting new people, & feeling unalone in the neighborhood! They have fantastic food, drinks, vibes, staff & always have things going on each night to get more involved. So far I’ve been to their jazz nights but know they have a book club, comedy, chess and more. It’s such a wonderful neighborhood gem. There’s lots of outdoor seating & there is some noise between chit chat & music on that isn’t too overbearing. It’s a great place to work from unless you need to hop on quiet video calls. Phone calls could easily be accepted outside. We love you, Nook!“

“The taste was good, and I enjoyed my drink. However, if you prefer unsweetened coffee or tea, be aware that the menu is very limited in that regard. They didn’t have regular iced coffee or plain unsweetened tea when we visited—most of the drinks were on the sweeter, more specialty side. If you’re looking for simple, less sweet options, it’s something to keep in mind before you go.“

“Lots of coffee shops in the area and this is the best by a mile, in my opinion. The drinks are reasonably priced and really delicious, and a good size for the cost. Their beans are really something—the only time I went somewhere else nearby and really enjoyed my coffee, I discovered they were using Obscure beans! Atmosphere is nice and baristas are friendly and remember you, and the location is often staffed by the actual owner of the entire company (I only found this out when I tried to buy beans online and saw him). The guy is super nice. House-made vanilla syrup is awesome and the Masa Madre pastries are out of this world (best almond croissant ever). 10/10. I’d gatekeep but they deserve their flowers.“

“One of the best little cafes in Brooklyn. I am lucky to live close. The baristas are always so kind and helpful. The coffee and matcha is excellent. Specifically recommend unsweetened iced matcha with pump of strawberry and vanilla. It gets a little hot inside at times but there is outdoor seating too“

“Here’s a polished, clearer, and more composed version of your review while keeping the strong sentiment and message intact:
This place is nowhere near authentic Cuban cuisine — not even if it were sitting right next to Havana. What they call Ropa Vieja is basically just beef stew. There’s absolutely no understanding of Cuban culture, flavors, or hospitality, which makes sense considering they are not Cuban.
When you ask for something as basic and traditional as moro to go with Ropa Vieja, they act like it’s an unusual request and explain that it’s not included. Their “solution” is to mix watered‑down black beans with white rice and whatever else they decide to throw in. It’s not even close.
The décor doesn’t help either. A few cigar boxes here and there, but most of it is Santa Muerte imagery — so, as you can guess, not Cuban at all. I don’t fault anyone for trying, but don’t advertise something you clearly don’t know how to make. Even something as simple and essential as hoja de laurel — bay leaf — is missing entirely, both in sight and in flavor.
Overall, it feels like a place run by young people without the cultural background or culinary knowledge to deliver what they’re selling.
If you want, I can also rewrite it in a more formal, humorous, or sharper tone.“

“After researching where to find great pancakes, Colina Cuervo kept coming up, and they absolutely did not disappoint. The pancakes were fluffy, delicious, and honestly some of the best I've had. Every bite was wonderful. They came with an amazing dulce de leche sauce and syrup that made them even more irresistible.
Alex, who took my order, was incredibly kind and greeted me with a beautiful smile. The entire atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and I truly believe the warmth of a place says a lot about the food being served. Everything felt made with care.
If you're looking for perfect pancakes and a cozy, inviting environment, I highly recommend Colina Cuervo.“

“Stopped here for coffee and a pastry during a visit with my son who lives close by. I absolutely loved the chill vibe set by the decore, jazz music and incredibly kind owner. He insisted on warming the pieces of banana/chocolate chip bread that we ordered (take him up on this if he offers-it makes the outside slightly cripsy and the inner part warm and gooey!) and let us know that their coffee is imported from Cameroon (one of the BEST cups of coffee I’ve ever had). The local art hanging on the wall was beautiful, and it’s obvious by the events held regularly in the space that providing community is very important to the owners. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the neighborhood!“

“Went here as a walk in for dinner service on a Friday. Wait time was about 1 hr for a table. Once we had a table the meal that proceeded was truly perfect from start to finish. Both my guest and I left really satisfied. Highlights include the wine selections and the crispy chicken with potato salad. Tiramisu at the end was yummy but more so for those who like a dessert that’s “not too sweet.”“
