“Food is so delicious and great, we tried the egg and cheese with halal bacon which was tasty, but the short ribs sandwich is another level of tastiness, was just perfect!

“I almost don't want to write this review because I want to keep them a secret, but this cafe is such a gem in the Astoria neighborhood. Best baked goods and a great drink menu with seasonal options as well! I'm a huge pastry person and the owner bakes all of the yummy items you see in the display. The barista is also super nice and remembers all my random customizations for sweetness :)

They also have dog treats if you're picking up your order with a fur baby!

If you're a pastry person like me -- you must try the cinnamon roll, any of the bread puddings, the cookies and if you're into savory try the ham and cheese croissant.“

“Don't let Gandalf's scowling face discourage you! This pastry cafe is a MUST GO. We tried a little of everything, but my personal favorite (so far), was the pizza croissant. I've had A LOT of pastry in my time (my son went to the Culinary Institute and he's a pastry fanatic), but I swear to you, Elevenses' croissants are AMAZING. The pizza croissant had a little heat, a little tomato and a little cheese but BIG FLAVOR. I know it's annoying when someone capitalizes stuff for emphasis and I have never done it before so you can imagine, I'm not messing around. If you love flavor, freshness, an attention to every detail in every bite, you must try this place. It's a little out of the way, but honestly, it's a reason to come to Astoria. “Outstanding bakery. They have a number of hard to find Greek and Mediterranean specialty pastries. Prices are reasonable and there is a nice little seating area on the sidewalk. Namely - they have Kavala cookies. Delicious and crispy. What a treat to find these here.“

“It has become my favorite place to go for coffee in Astoria. My go-to coffee is Jubani - medium, light roast coffee, and coffee husks with cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon. I usually get it with honey instead of sugar. I typically like spiced flavor teas and coffee; thus, I end up loving the taste of Jubani too.

If you don’t like the taste of coffee husks and are looking for something stronger, then you can try Sana’ani.
The best part is that neither Jubani nor Sana’ani comes with milk; making it perfect for people like us who are lactose intolerant. There are other coffees without milk or cream but I didn’t try them yet.

Another three must-try items from the menu are Khaliat Alnahl, Pistachio Milk Cake, and Feta Spinach. All three of them are delectable, particularly the Pistachio Milk Cake. (Took Lactaid Supplements before having them 😋). The Feta Spinach was flaky, light, and delicious. It perfectly pairs with a small pot of Jubani.

I had also tried the Basbousa but was slightly disappointed with the taste as it wasn’t moist and flavorful like a typical Basbousa that I had tried before in other places.“

OMG sooooo freaking good. I can eat so many of them but I restrict myself to one. Even my daughter loves it. She gets so happy when we stroll on into the cafe because she knows what that means.
