The highlight of the night was Lourdes the cashier/ attendant. She was so friendly and welcoming and attentive. She was able to recommend things on the menu and elaborate on the options.

“My BF and I came in around 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon. We were greeted so nicely by Dashawn, he made us feel very welcome. I got a CBR add jalapeños and a roast beef sammy. BOTH were SO GOOD! Dashawn then checked on us and asked how everything was. He proceeded to greet every single person that walked through the door like this. Probably the best service I have ever received at a fast casual restaurant, this is my New Jersey Mikes. Keep it up, Dashawn and someone give this man a highly deserved raise.“

The app used for online order charged some hidden fees that were not made transparent. When I confronted them about this during pickup, they immediately gave me cash back for the hidden fees that even they were not made aware of. I appreciate the honesty and the food was very good. Situated on Willis Avenue in the beautiful upscale neighborhood in Albertson, Nassau County, this Subway location is super modern and clean. Most Subway locations that I've been to, especially in the five boroughs, are all depressing looking and in dire need of updating. The female employee that prepared my sub was friendly, and the sub turned out solid. The Raspberry cheesecake cookies that I received were stale. Besides all that, they make a fantastic Italian. This jersey mikes is particularly well kept and the people I’ve interacted with so far have been very nice. As far as Italians go, theirs is delicious, even compared with local delis and other restaurants. It’s just really surprisingly good.“

This place sells sandwiches as well as Halal, it's a dual spot called Blimpie & The Gyro King. I got chicken over rice on three different occasions, and each time, it was so fresh (cilantro makes it bomb), service was super friendly, and it was prepared so quickly. Blimpies seems to be housed in other stores. Before this time, I found it in a twin donut on 161st and it was 16 dollars. The one on Gunhill and Bainbridge Avenue is in a store named Tasty Picks and was the normal 13 dollars.“

I found it right outside of the new Five Below.I placed an order via their website which gave me a pick-up time of 15 minutes...it was closer to 20, but so what. I was so excited and hungry to dig in, I forgot to get any pictures.Sandwiches are large and well worth the price, which I was surprised wasn't higher. The Cuban sandwich included the classic ingredients of roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese and pickles; served on a lovely pressed bread it was delicious and satisfying. It was the perfect ratio of ingredients.The Torta Pollo includes a crispy chicken, avocado, refried beans, poblano crema, jalapenos, cabbage and tomatoes. I don't think I've ever had such a crispy chicken cutlet, it was fabulous. Along with all the toppings it made for a wonderful spicy bite; really fabulous.
