“We tried The Gem tonight and we were not disappointed. Friendly service from start to finish. We chose wings as our appetizer and two draft beers! The wings were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. For our main course, we selected the smoked brisket with potato salad and baked beans as our sides. This was by far the best smoked brisket we have had. We ended the meal with the sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream 😍. Head to The Gem for a great meal!“

Very fresh and some added flavors to make this spot a little different. “Beautiful building, but space is tight for some tables. The food is good… I ordered the seafood special and my wife ordered the Filet…. Our only problem was that the whole dining experience was very rushed. I can’t remember the last time I was in and out of a restaurant under an hour and spend this much per person. Hopefully they will figure that out, it needs to be an experience and not a revolving door!“

“we loved our stay. The views were beautiful and so relaxing. The food was delicious, and we loved that you could order at the Cabana bar as well as in the restaurant. We were not disappointed with anything we ordered. Best risotto I've ever had. Our bartender was very attentive, friendly and made great drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting lakeside in the evening relaxing with drinks. All staff were friendly, very helpful and hard working. We truly appreciate their hard work, and it didn't go unnoticed. The beach was clean and so family friendly. We just enjoyed sitting in the chairs, which were in the water and observing the breathtaking views. We were walking distance to the wonderful Lake George village. Our room was comfortable, clean and great AC. The fire pits at night were a great addition. our stay was very relaxing and we had a great time.“

“You dine at the Boardwalk for the AMAZING views of the lake, as it's perfectly situated in the heart of the village to see the Lac du and Mohican pass by. The service is always super quick and friendly. As for the food, it's mostly fried bar food. Chicken tenders are frozen out of box and so are the fries. I am not sure why cooks today don't want to serve hand cut fries. Lazy? I like the fried fish, but I doubt it's fresh fish and likely frozen too. Let's just say its location and views of the lake are what keep this place in business. That's why I go there when I am visiting the area. You don't really go here for the food and the culinary experience. Regardless, I will keep going there on sunny afternoons for lunch to take in some fresh Adirondack air off the lake and great views.“

“Duffy‘s Pub Just happened to be the first place we came across to grab a bite to eat when we first got to Lake George Village. The food was OK. Nothing great. I had a sandwich which was similar to a Reuben, but with turkey and no sauerkraut. I had to have the waitress bring over extra dressing since it was pretty dry. My daughter had a wrap which she said was good. We had a nice view sitting on the outside portion that has a roof over your head with Big open windows. We both thought the drinks were watered down. Since neither of us seem to feel anything after them. It was a little pricey for what we ordered. The waitress was very good and attentive. Their bathroom seems to need some tending to.“

The food was good and typical of what you would expect from a restaraunt geared towards tourists downtown. 4 meals, a few mugs of Bear Wizz( locally brewed root beer) and a few pints later and we were out the door for about $100. I also ended up talking with the owner, and she told me that all their products come from a farm, which honestly made the whole experience feel even better. Definitely one of those spots in Lake George that feels worth coming back to!“
