“We’ve been coming here for years. The menu is standard, the beer can be really refreshing, and it’s the right place to go if you want to meet locals. It’s a friendly spot, and the outside seating is lovely!

“Last night I celebrated my Birthday at Kennedy's Restaurant and it was Fabulous time!! I absolutely love this restaurant the atmosphere is so beautiful and elegant I almost felt like I was on a cruise ship * We had a great table by the window overlooking the beach * and I totally felt like I was away on vacation somewhere which put me and my guests in a great celebratory mood. I love the fact that the chairs were very comfortable and cushioned and there were no stairs to use the restroom which was a big plus for my elderly aunt. The food was absolutely delicious we shared the fried calamari platter and scallops risotto for appetizers. The porterhouse veal chop was absolutely divine! We ended the night with a birthday's cake and the live guitarist/vocalist chimed in and sang happy birthday! It was all above and beyond what I could of asked for and me and my guest all had the best time ever! Special thanks to our server Daniel and the Hostess that made us comfortable. Can't wait to go back🥳”

“The food here is fantastic! They have the best mozzarella sticks I've ever tasted, and the chicken fingers taste great hot or cold. The staff are so friendly and really make an effort to get to know the regulars. They look out for the kids that are always there in the summer too. This is, honestly, my favorite summer place!Update: the pizza is fantastic now!!!!! You get less mozzarella sticks for the same $6 but, honestly, they're so delicious - it's worth it!! Still my fave summer place!!!”

Noise level is average for a NYC area restaurant and service spot on (we were a table of 15 for a birthday, not easy to serve even with a pre fix menu!!)”

Amazing decor, great ambiance, it was packed and lively on a Saturday night around 10pm in contrast to the quiet streets of downtown brooklyn. We absolutely loved the Raspberry Shrub drink - the white vinegar added a little bit of a sour kick and made the cocktail one of the most memorable we’ve had. Super unique menu and fun food items. “Dog Day is a truly special place and the reason I moved to the neighborhood. I otherwise consider myself a vegetarian of 8 years. These hot dogs are divine any time of the year, but here’s my advice:

On a crisp fall day, don’t eat until 2pm. Have two Chicago dogs and a milkshake, then walk through the park. A cure-all.

Last October I had a great conversation with a zombie witch who shared my table. It told me to always, always answer when I hear the hot dogs calling. Sometimes I hear the dog’s call ringing through Greenwood Cemetery treetops at night and I have to wait up all night in a cold sweat praying for noon to arrive.”

The restaurant is fairly small, so tables are close to each other and we overheard the conversation of other guests. It didn’t bother us too much but perhaps this is something to keep in mind if you come here for a business meeting.

“This is by far the best sushi restaurant we have been to, and I would dare say it’s better than some Michelin star places. Not only is each course extremely unique and full of flavor, from sea urchin, to Wagyu, the service is extremely attentive. The chef that was serving us has been preparing sushi for 30 years and it shows. We were so delighted by our experience - it was truly a huge highlight for us. Skip the hype restaurants and try Ishi instead. We will be back.”
