“My daughter-in-law, Amy Sowder-van Erk, brought me here for my first Blue Heron experience, and personally, it met all expectations, and more! I had an excellently crafted cappuccino and decided to try the gluten-free almond cookies (come in a package of 4). For those of you who are gluten-free or gluten sensitive, you know how difficult it is to find that perfectly delicious, made with love, delicacy. These are out of this world and have a full almond taste and are wonderfully chewy. A highly recommended respite for anyone looking for that perfect spot to enjoy your coffee or tea, and dive into a delectably home made perfection.“

“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. I say this as someone who has organized many events professionally over the decades. Donna Sullivan and Jean-Jacques are top notch.“

They have a lunch and breakfast menu and for a Monday, there were plenty of people going in and out - a sign that it's a great spot with locals.“

“Great customer service. The people who work there are knowledgeable and they have the best stock of bikes around. At 5’1” no one ever has bikes in my size. Not only did Piermont have a bike, they had 4 for me to test. Sunny also told me the size I originally thought I needed was too big and his recommendation for the smaller frame was spot on. I ended up with a 44 cm Cannondale Evo and couldn’t be happier.“

I wish I lived next door. it's like going to a friend's house who really know how to entertain. the food is from scratch and made with deep love. the coffee drinks are almost too beautiful to drink, but you'll be glad you did. “Lifelong Palisades resident, and have loved the 9W Market/The Filling Station since it opened back in 2011! A HUGE improvement over the previous ownership when it was called the Palisades Market which opened in the spring of 2010 and was only open for a few months and then closed. I was so disappointed with the Palisades Market because it lacked a decent food selection and this community needed something so much more. Luckily, the owners of the 9W Market have done such an amazing job! I’ve never had a bad meal here! The ingredients are high quality and super fresh! The atmosphere and ambiance is very relaxing and tranquil! Love the bistro theme on the indoor side and picnic theme by the filling station burger stand. Not to mention, the burgers are the best I’ve ever had! Made with high quality grass fed beef! This is gourmet nyc restaurant style food right in our local neighborhood! Keep up the great work!“

“Southern baker here. Take it from someone who knows biscuits, and get a scallion cheddar biscuit, perfect bake, flaky not crumbly. Honestly one of the best biscuits I’ve ever eaten!
Classic chocolate cupcake is great, buttercream needs a pinch salt in my opinion.
Carrot cake cupcake was a hit for the hubby with a perfect cream cheese icing.
If you’re an egg salad fan, grab a tub and a ciabatta roll for a quick sandwich!“

“Silver Lake is a great cafe! The food, atmosphere, and service is outstanding, and the place is very clean and well kept every time I’ve been. I got the #3 which is a Smoked Turkey Hero, and it was super solid and filling. I highly recommend swapping the mayo with chipotle mayo — it was amazing and added a lot of flavor. Maybe even get some extra chipotle mayo on the side. I approve!“

“They say never judge a book by its cover, well that couldn’t be more true for Lou’s Wagon (hot dog truck). On the surface, it’s a really small white box-truck that doesn’t appear to offer much. Rest assure, that is not the case. The food and service here was great. The two hotdogs with chili, cheese and cooked onions that I purchased were very tasty. The chili had just the right consistency and the cheese actually tasted like cheese. The bread wasn’t stale and the dogs didn’t taste like they’ve been sitting in boiled water for a week. The food was fresh. The lady running the hot dog truck was extremely welcoming, quick and courteous. For anyone looking for a quick bite and tasty hot dogs at a very affordable price compared to other food trucks I’ve stopped at, this spot is a winner. They also offer hot sausage, Dr. Browns soda, chips and cookies. The food spot is perfectly located right at the corner of an intersection just off 9A and Croton Dam Rd. Give them a try. You won’t regret it!“
